Only a 4 star for me because I reserved a table for 14 and once I got a message stating our table was ready, it ended up being for 12. I asked why and it was because they gave extra table space to others that came in after we reserved. So we ended up having to split our party of 14 in 2 different areas. Our waiter Michael was excellent. We ordered the Caesar salad with chicken. When the salad arrived we realized that it did not have Romain lettuce. It was a spring mix with chicken and Caesar dressing. We called to ask to speak to the kitchen manager and asked if we could get a price adjustment due to not getting what we ordered, which was a Caesar salad, but rather getting a spring mix with chicken, which is not the same. He was very defensive and defended his salad!! He said, this is what Chili's calls a Caesar salad. My suggestion is to just specify, on the menu or explain it to you when you order. Because sometimes you are just really craving some crunchy Romain lettuce! The restaurant itself was very nice very clean. This is a new concept of Chili's I had never seen before. Honestly I normally want to go anywhere but chili's. Historically across the nation the service is terrible. We were traveling from Dallas back home to Baton Rouge and my boys really wanted Chili's. So we stopped here in Terrell. We were asked to wait in our cars for a table. Unsure if this was covid related, but whatever. Short wait and we had a table. I have to say that this was the BEST experience I have EVER had at a Chili's. EVER!!! We were promptly greeted, quickly had drinks and queso. Food was right and warm and delicious. Our waiter was friendly, the food runners were friendly,the place was clean. I was pleasantly surprised at our entire experience here. Great Job Chili's in Terrell... behind BUCEES!! read more

The family met up for lunch at Chili's in Terrell this past Saturday. Our server was Michaela who was off the charts awesome. Food was great as usual but what happened blew my mind. I ordered 16 bone in wings and when the order came out I told my wife I only got 14 but let it be and went on with lunch. About 5 minutes later the manager Amber Smith came out with the other 2 wings and I was like I didn't say anything how did you know? She said cause we count LOL! . I thought that was amazing that they kept track of that and made sure I got what I ordered. Both Our server and the manager made sure we had a great time. The one and only reason this isn't one or zero stars is because of Kyle at the bar. He is a great asset to this business. The staff working the door and the front are absolutely atrocious. We got added to the waitlist and told 20-30 minutes. Not a biggie. We were told that the bar tables along the window were not first come first serve due to staffing. Ok, understandable. Then, 10 minutes later, a couple walks in and sits at one of those tables and gets served. I asked the front door person about it and she said it wasn't her call. If not, she needs to be in sync with the other staff members to be sure what is and isn't open. After waiting 40 minutes and seeing many people finish their meals, leave, and make tables available, I ask her about both the first come first serve tables in the bar (response to that above) and when we'd be seated. She said she was told to stop seating new tables. When were they planning on telling us that and wouldn't you finish your current wait list first and then stop seating new tables because of staffing? Very poorly handled. It must also be mentioned there was another front staff member who was sitting at a booth on her phone doing nothing. She couldn't even handle the wait list and had to go ask someone else how to even do that. Someone could be trained as a server to replace her in an instant and not lose business. Kyle deserves a better supporting cast than this. Hopefully he gets one soon that doesn't take chairs away from his bar (another thing the front staff did wrong) or goes elsewhere where I'm sure he'll make more. First off, they are short staffed, which by itself can be frustrating to the employees working. However, the rudeness of staff is remarkable. Telling people it'll be an hour wait with 20 tables open without explaining isn't a way to keep business. Food is just average, so when customer service isn't great, it makes for a bad business strategy. read more
