Great grilled chicken sandwiches for a good price. Order was fresh and tender when I pulled up

My husband and I stopped by the Canton, Texas DQ on our way home from a trip. DQ steak fingers are my favorite, but we don't get them often because the DQs around home (McKinney area) are so slow. There were 2 people ordering in front of us and this young lady took their orders quickly and then took ours. Our food was out piping hot in less than 5 minutes. I was excited when I learned that DQ had the chicken and dumplings back for a while. Tried them this evening and was far less than excited when I had them and it was almost entirely broth as I found very little that would qualify as dumplings. Very disappointing. I was shocked and surprised to see how friendly and kind the people are who work here. Most fast food places the people seem to be putting their time in and here the people seem to care and be happy and joyful. I walked in late to see them scrubbing the drink machine, the had just mopped the floors and the whole place smelled clean. Everything looks spic and span. There's happy joyful music playing. Jennifer was the lady who waited on me and she was a joy. The food was fresh and hot. My chicken tenders are moist and crisp not over cooked. My fries are crisp and perfect. The gravy. - spot on. It's Dairy Queen. I want to give it 4 stars just based on location convenience for us going to and from the lake it's out perfect stop to plan out feeding my son, letting him digest and run around the canton market after and then he sleeps almost all the way back to Austin area. Their chicken strips are pretty generous in size compared to what I remember when I was younger. Fries need to be cooked longer. But I have this issue basically everywhere so maybe don't listen to me on this But the employees here were very nice both times we stopped in. If you have a toddler and want to go to the canton shopping I would highly recommend this Dairy Queen if they are anything like my son. My son wouldn't have eaten at the canton food bc there was too much stuff to look at and I'm sure everyone with kids knows they don't want to shop or ride in a car with a hungry kid It's also conveniently located right by a gas station. They'll be seeing a lot of us over the summer as we go to and from our Lakehouse more. read more

Stopped off the freeway to get something to eat. Should of passed on by. The racism we experienced by the staff and the locals was palpable. I'm white and my wife is a woman of color. The young woman behind the counter could not hide her disgust. The is 2021 not 1950. Grow the hell up!! read more

No one at this restaurant in the Drive-Thru for in the kitchen had masks on tonight. And during a pandemic that's just stupid.

We visited this location for the first time yesterday. What a great experience. Everyone was polite. The place was clean. No flies!! The food came out hot! For a hot hamburger this was great. I got steak fingers and they were so hot I nearly burned my mouth. I complicated the manager on all of this. The best DQ we have been in. Normally we go to the Wills Point store since it is only 3 miles from our home but I will gladly go the extra 10 miles to Canton. The WP store is not nearly as clean and the food not nearly as good!! read more

First i called five times to get a hold of them. Went through the drive through about 30 minutes ago. They forgot the large fries. Said that the ticket just prints and they are supposed to place it in the bag. I think it is called checking the bag for a reason. ‍ Granted it was just $2.30 for the fries. But I wanted them. When i spoke to the manager she didn't care. But she is going to give me a refund. Guess it is because she didn't want to hear me complain about them. All I'm saying is check the bag before giving someone the food. read more

I eat here ALL the time (local) I know all the staff, and have observed all of them interacting with customers of all ages, sexes, and races, including mixed race groups and families. I can say without a doubt that a prior post about an allegedly racist employee is a complete fabrication. The only thing more contemptible than racism is crazy or vindictive people who completely invent "false flag" claims of racism. This store is a friendly, welcoming place. So many people know so many others, and I've only ever seen happy friendly relations between everyone, and no evidence in the slightest of any racial divisions or segregation. read more

Service was good, the cashier was young and needed help from another employee to get my order, but she was polite. The restaurant was clean, we needed to use the diaper change station and appreciated that it was kept clean and provided liners! We stopped for sweet treats, they were yummy! read more

Ordered a burger and some nachos. The nacho sauce was cold so I took it back and they stuck it in the microwave for a minute. Halfway thru eating the nachos I notice what looks like oil pooling in the cheese sauce. It looks like they take their old fry grease and mix it in the cheese sauce to make it go farther but definitely not ever getting nachos here again! On another visit we ordered ice cream sandwiches at the drive thru and we got them home there was just a little blob of ice cream in the center! I took a picture and forwarded it to the Dairy Queen corporate office and was told the manager and franchise owner would call me back...never received a call. I called corporate back many months later and they apologized and said since this DQ is a franchise, there is nothing they can do other than ask them to contact me again which they did and of course, still no call. If a restaurant cares so little about their image and customer service do you think they care about how clean their restaurant is or what's being mixed in with the cheese sauce? I will NEVER eat at this NASTY disgusting place again! read more

Gotta tell you, I have never been to a restaurant, although fast food is served here,that my order was wrong... Not once, but twice and the girl argued with me about what I ordered, yet my receipt clearly read what I ordered... Then, to make it worse,, I called to speak with the "manager" , and she took up for the girl and basically called me a liar! This is the worst, mismanaged fast food place I've ever been to! They will probably go out of business soon, but not soon enough................. read more

I attempted to contact Dairy Queen directly but the web site customer service was not working so I will air the dirty laundry over the internet hoping a manager will paying attention. I usually love our local Dairy Queen but last Tuesday was very unprofessional. Just wanted to enjoy a Sunday but walked in to see and smell a bucket of dirty mop water blocking the front dining area. The smell of cleaning fluid was overpowered by the smell of urinal cakes because the employees had both restroom doors propped open and cleaning the women's restroom. Having to smell urinal cakes and dirty mop water when you want to enjoy a dessert is disgusting and I feel like my enjoyment to enjoy Dairy Queen came second to having the employees leave at closing time instead of cleaning when the customers are no longer eating in the dining room. read more
