I had a fantastic experience here. The birria empanadas were absolutely delicious--perfectly crispy on the outside with rich, flavorful birria meat inside. The consommé paired with them really elevated the dish and brought everything together. We also ordered the tableside guacamole along with chips and salsa, and it was clear right away that everything was made fresh in-house. I am going to be honest, I had super low expectations. I mean its basically at a truck stop but oh my gosh, I am so glad we went. The place is so cute inside! Such a charming, cute, photo worthy decor. The food was delicious, with a very large menu. Everyone was so kind and polite. And the drinks were well done. For our food, we did white queso (super flavorful), guac with the fixing (honestly super fresh) and empanda birria, which we loved. Since it was our first time here we really wanted to try a few different things. Chips were the super thin kind which we like. I probably am not a fan of the warm salsa but thats preference. He got the birria tacos, amazing. I got the chimi with shredded chicken. Super cheesy. Well done. Maybe on the rich side, but good. All that for less than $100 with tip. Seriously I am sold. Traveling through on a work trip, three of us stopped to have dinner. We found it on Yelp. The restaurant was busy, yet we were seated immediately. Greeted promptly by a server, who turned out to be very friendly, we were able to order water and place an order for the White Queso. It was seasoned very well. The salsa is served warm and is very tasty. Between us we had Shrimp Quesadillas, the Grilled Burrito, and the Flautas dinner. All of us were impressed by the flavors. For restaurant, next to a gas station along the interstate, it is a nice surprise of an authentic Mexican vibe, decor, and an overall great experience. read more

This place is adorable and the cocktails were really good, so I had high hopes. Unfortunately, the food didn't deliver. The carne asada was very tough, the chips were all broken, and the beans were overly salty. The music also didn't match the Mexican restaurant atmosphere, which affected the overall experience. I was also very impressed with the cleanliness of the restaurant. I don't think there was even any dust on the decorative plants above some cabinetry. Service was quick and friendly. We were seated without a wait even though it was busy. The decor is nice, and the bar will be a focal point as soon as they get their license! Rosa's was recommended to us, and it did not disappoint. I'm pretty picky about Mexican food, and they had some of the best that I've had in Texas. The grilled burrito with shredded chicken was great - I did pour their delicious salsa over it. My wife had the Guiso Ranchero, and the beef was amazing. I know it's odd to say, but the refried beans were really good, too. Our kids had the kids' quesidilla and the kids' chicken nuggets, and both ate almost their whole mean, which is saying something. They currently do not have their liquor license, but it is BYOB until they do. I heard they will have some amazing cocktails available eventually. Our server was so friendly, attentive, and helpful! The chips were perfectly crisp and the warm salsa was a perfect pairing. The queso is not good at all and seems a lot like cheap canned nacho cheese with some peppers thrown in. The shrimp in my pictured dish below was overcooked, tough, and not seasoned well. The veggies and the spaghetti were well seasoned and delicious! The decor was super cute and the photo op walls are a nice touch. Our service; however, was exceptionally poor. Chips weren't refilled. We ran out of drinks for a LONG period of time. I wasn't able to get ketchup for my son's food until he was almost done eating because our waiter literally disappeared after we received our food. Normally based on the food and the terrible service I would give 3 stars, but since this is a new business I'll give 4 as I'm hopeful that the service and food kinks will be worked out! read more

The BEST Mexican food I've ever had. And the margaritas are so bomb you can't even taste the alcohol! The chips are so fresh and delicious they literally came out warm. Im Hispanic so I know if my people's food is good or not lol. But anyways the service is amazing the waiter asked us if we wanted more chips, and she was very nice. The music was very nice to listen too and wasn't too loud where I couldn't hear my conversation with other people. 10/10 would recommend!! I'm definitely coming here again! The service and food were excellent. I think we invaded a dominoes tournament while we were there. I had the Carne Asada and my wife had enchiladas with an extra crispy taco. But here is the rub, the reason they got 4 instead of 5 stars. The price!! I spent more for dinner $80 +/- Than I would spend in our usual go to in Dallas. We got there about 5 o'clock on a Friday. No trouble getting seated. Our chips and salsa came right away. The salsa was warm and had a good flavor, but it was too spicy for me. I ordered the quesadillas. They don't generally come with vegetables in them so I asked for mixed vegetables instead of meat. They were absolutely delicious. Came with a generous helping of sour cream and guacamole also. My husband got the beef taco plate. Said they were very good. Two dinners plus a tea was a total price of about $25. Our server, Hillary, checked on us and was friendly, but not annoying. She left a carafe of water on the table so I could refill my own. Will definitely go back!! read more

Food was ok. Not the best Mexican food. The salsa with chips was the highlight. The margarita was not good at all. They use a pre mix and that is not a margarita. It was terrible. I then asked for a fresh made margarita and still was not good. I know I will not be back. I've had better. Work on that margarita. That is half the battle. read more
