When you order takeout which should be simple, you will be waiting 15 minutes to get your order processed because the lady who is probably new doesn't know how to read fast enough! Also when you call, no one answers and you have to keep calling back! Very frustrating! read more

I ordered from the place and the syrup they gave me was green on top of all of that when I went to go pick up my food. The interior was very bad and I saw a roach on the wall when I realize my order was wrong because they missed one of my items I called them back. The lady called me a "dirty black nigger" read more

We ate here because it was located close to our hotel. I'm not a big breakfast person but my husband is so we settled on here. My food was cold and we had to beg for coffee. Also the service was lack luster to say the least. Now fast forward to a week ago my good friend let me know she went here to pick up a omelette to go around 7 am and as she was waiting three men came and sat down at the booth beside her. They kept watching her and looking out the window. She was so scared that she asked to have someone walk her to her car when her meal was ready. One of the young men working there did which was very nice. However when she did get to the car the three guys followed behind them trying to bang on her window. God bless that young man working there that walked her out yelled at them and scared them off but if she wasn't paying attention something bad could of happen. Also why would you allow customers to come sit down and not order anything? I am glad she is okay and the young man saw what was happening and had no problem helping her get to her car safely. As far as her omelette she said she was so scared she didn't eat it. So the bottom line food Isn't that great and it is in a hidden area, with shady characters hanging out. read more

Today's experience was a little unsettling. Ordered an omelette (bacon, cheese, tomato, onion) and about 2/3rd's thru, noticed something black. Opened my omelette & more black something! Asked server. Shrugged & asked if I wanted a replacement. I said no, I'd like to know what it was. Asked again if I wanted a replacement. I said no. Asked if I wanted to speak to the manager. I said yes. Manager took a look and said she'd give me a 15% discount. I said that's fine but I'd really rather know what it was I was eating. I said I was concerned it would make me sick. She said she'd give me a number to call. I said no thanks, I took a picture and knew how to follow up. She snatched my bill and said they'd comp my meal. I think the black stuff was grill scrapping but... read more

Denny's - Eek! - Diners Near Me - Springfield, Oregon

I'm not typically a fan of Denny's, but was rather impressed by my visit here a couple days ago. It was a pleasant surprise. My mother wanted to go to Denny's for the free grand slam they give you on your birthday. Was I excited by this plan? Not even close. We walked in around 7am and there were just a few other customers. Our waiter greeted us immediately, and told us to sit wherever we wanted. I like that I could sit anywhere. The waiter (I forget his name) was attentive. My best friend called me and wanted to wish my mother a happy birthday. So she was on the phone for almost ten minutes. Our waiter elected to wait until the conversation was over before returning to the table. He was patient without ignoring us or interrupting. He checked on us at regular intervals. There were like three other customers in the restaurant, but he wasn't bored. He was always doing something and staying busy. My mother obviously had the grand slam. My husband had the red, white, and bacon. I had French toast and these stuffed tater tot things. Food was all hot and fresh, which gets huge points right there. My only real complaint was the French toast had cinnamon on it, and I wasn't a big fan. Other than that, it was really good. I love the fact they have small portion "value" items on their menu. A single piece of French toast, or a biscuit and gravy with an egg, for $2. Sometimes that small portion is perfect for me. Would I go back? Actually, yes. Which surprises the hell out of me to say. I've never been a big Denny's fan, and so it was a pleasant change to see one with decent food and service. read more

The Denny's bar is the best! Britney, Ashley and Alex are my favorite. The food is tasty and the drinks are better and super affordable!

I like this Denny's. They each are their own experience, but I have enjoyed each time I visit this diner. Food is good, price is right, and they are always open. read more

Ordered online and picked up and brought it back to the hotel. The server was fantastic and friendly. There did not seem like many people there but the food was as expected from Dennys and if your in the mood for breakfast food I would recommend it read more

Worst customer service at this location. Patrick the host was disrespectful and couldn't care less. He disregarded everyone in line to cash customers out and then talk bad about them to those waiting in line. I then left and called in an order just for him to admit he was being rude to me and then refuse to give me to a supervisor. Honestly the worst experience I've ever had at any location. Not to mention they were not busy they just had 3 guests trying to cash out at the same time. I waited on hold for a manager well over 10 minutes because if I didn't come in physically then it's not important. Do not come to this location literally order anywhere else. Couldn't even place a To go order since he didn't want to answer the phone. The manager refused to come over and deescalate the situation. Melissa the manager refused to talk to me until I physically approached her. When confronted with the issues at hand she had no apology and couldn't assure me that my order would be placed. Worst location and even worse customer service. read more

Having always enjoyed Denny's, my experience as this location has been unique. The employees are quick to help, patient when asked odd requests like extra hot sauce and things. Their value menu (probably national, but discovered at this location) really helped my wallet as financial times have been difficult, as they have been for many of us. I like that they offer gift cards because there's a lot of people needing food right now, a cool way to give back. Will always be a Dennys customer. Check out this location if you're ever passing thru Springfield area. read more

Waited over 2 hours to get my food after being seated with only 7 other tables in the restaurant . food was good but I can't bring myself to give more than one star with no refills, didn't get silverware. And just very slow service read more

I was quite surprised at how much I liked the Denny's. Their veggie skillet was good, and they have excellent customer service. I can tell that Denny's has been upping their game, like horchata milk shakes. This is a diner that I will keep on my radar. read more

Typical Denny's, the food is bland but that's to be expected, I mean, it's Denny's... lol Rating more so based on the specific location / service being great, quick service, friendly server, location is about as clean as you can be with somewhere that gets such traffic. Great service from the staff EXCEPT Julie the Swing Shift manager was a HAG. She totally talked down to the staff and belittled an employee. As a guest, I shouldn't have had to hear her be like that. Great omelet!!! read more

Just bad. Never going back. Place an order and i got half off it. When i called in i was place on hold for 10 min. I could hear that they only place the phone down (they were helping other customers) but after it was just silent. Hung up after and I called like 20 times or more and no answer. And I can't go back so I can talk to them I have a new born. It's difficult. So am stuck with half of my food and paid full price. TRUST ME when I say we are never going back. read more

The place looked clean enough. The acoustics are terrible. We were sat in the corner in the back where they slam the dishes around and have no thought of the customers on the other side of the plexiglass. We moved ourselves & this did not seem to cause any issues. Khoraan was our server (had to ask) and he wasn't very friendly at first. Once we inquired about his name he seemed to warm up to us. The service was very good and served quickly. Overall, we didn't get a warm fuzzy from this location, but I wouldn't discourage anyone from going. read more

Been here numerous time hoping things would be different the next cause my kid loves the pancakes. Unfortunately it never fails to disappoint. Takes nearly a half hour for two pancakes.... If this restaurant did urine tests almost the entire staff would be gone. There's staff clearly high on meth you can tell with how they talk (scatter brained) and the unmistakable sped up tweaker laugh. Wish management would trim the fat unfortunately they are probably using as well. I mean it is Springfield smh read more

This was definitely the best Denny's in all my life! My husband and I went to this location as we needed to charge up our Tesla close by. It was early for lunch, but the manager accommodated us so we split a cheeseburger and fries--delicious! Allison was our server and she went above and beyond great customer service! On top of that, I had a tasty drink that she customized for me and we felt like VIPs. I recommend this Denny's as it was way better than I ever expected. read more

Just went there this morning for Breakfast. You couldn't pay me to eat there again. I was seated and ordered, took an hour before my food came to the table. Toast was CRUNCHY!!!! How do you do that? First time here. The service is good. I ordered the Chicken Addiction bowl. It was good, the chicken was over cooked and dry so it's a good thing it was smothered in sauce. The dinner roll was really good. The other person in my party ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes and corn and a house salad. The salad was delicious. The chicken was over cooked and the mashed potatoes were a bit salty. read more

It's sad when the management team focuses on breaking down the employees within ear shot of the customer. Your female manager should be reprimanded for this type of HORRIBLE leadership. She made inappropriate comments about all of her staff being incompetent when she was the only one not being part of the team. Our food sat in the window for over 12 minutes. It arrived to us cold, and gross. And to top it off, when we brought it up to the manager, she got mad and irritated with our server for her lack of leadership. There are better people out there who would do much better at this job. Find better leaders, retain better employees. read more

One of the best Denny's I've eaten. Have done a lot traveling. Portions are great. My son said the Biscuits and gravy were the better gravy before it changed up in California. The staff was very accommodating, hardworking, and friendly. Especially Michelle our waitress who we appreciated very much in our time of need. Thank you guys for allowing us to dine in and having a wonderful experience. Good was delicious. Gotta stop in on a Wednesday! read more

The staff here ROCK!! I came in to place a To Go order, the house was packed with a line out the door. Pissy customers but the staff was professional, friendly and running their asses off. This is just a Denny's, not Uber fine dining, but if I owned a restaurant, I'd kill for the staff that served me today! They earned every penny their paid and then some. I have been to fancier places with crappy staff and gotten the same quality food at a higher price. The manager and owner should count their blessings because the staff they have insure that I will be back the next time I'm in town. If they can handle the over the top pressure I saw today with a smile, they've earned my repeat business!!!!! read more

Breakfast was very good and the service was over the top. Natasha was my server and I'd give her 20 stars instead of the 5 if I could.

If it wasn't for the nice Hispanic lady just coming to work we'd likely still be sitting at the counter waiting for service. Also I wouldn't have been sitting at a Denny's if not for a lust for a good crepe close to home and since it was Father's Day I knew Marche and Original Pancake House would have been way too crowded on a Special Sunday. We took two counter seats since the restaurant was packed but waited 20 minutes before we ordered juice and crepes ala carte. After another 30 minutes, yes, half an hour, we paid for the tasteless canned orange juice and exited the property. I haven't walked out of a restaurant in 50 years but after almost an hour of waiting we knew this wasn't going to end well. I-5 Travelers, you've been forewarned. read more

Denny's has such friendly service, and while you can probably find better food locally, in terms of seasonal and locally grown ingredients, you can always count on Denny's for consistency. When we tried to go to our favorite brunch place on a snow day, we found it closed. Denny's was open, and that counts for a lot when you're hungry! Believe it or not, but Denny's not only has a decent and diverse breakfast with good low cal options and the occasional awesome Hobbit menu, they also have the best nachos in town. Piled high with toppings and drenched in an amazing fundido-style sauce (not your usual yellow nacho cheese), it doesn't get much better than this to be honest, as far as local nachos go. read more
