What an experience here that me and my party had. We had just come from an event that ended late, and being open 24 hours, this place was one of the few left open close to the downtown riverside area. We checked in and were told it would be a 30-40 minute wait, and that was no problem with us. As we waited more and more bigger parties began to check in waiting for a table as well, and I guess because of this the cook began to suddenly get "sick" and decided to walk out. We had the manager approach us and say it would be a while longer because he would have to find another cook on short notice and didn't know when that would be so we proceeded to leave instead of waiting any more longer. read more

Well When his food came he actually said why do I think theres a lot of food here. He couldn't finish it all there was so much. I use to go to this place a lot but I stop after a while. Your experience will be according to when you go. They do change their servers pretty frequently like an assembly line. So every time I went I ether got a person with an attitude, someone that doesn't pay attention, or someone that just shows how much he hates his job. The can at least crack a smile. Some of the newer women servers were friendlier, but it different people every time I go. Dennys is that one place you go after the club or any social event. They just need better leaders. Also, this place is where all the weirdos come out. Homeless every now and then that make loud arguments. I also witness a fight happening in the entrance. Security got a black eye. Cleanest Denny's I have ever been to and the service is absolutely superb, you are treated as if you are in a 5 star restaurant. The food that was delivered was made to order, and at a great temperature. Also, the music really made the experience a pure delight, although it was a little loud. Because of the sneaky aggressive manager and a couple real bad service issues I stayed away for a few months(see first review) then a few months ago I returned and noticed huge improvements ( see second review) Now I'm back with names and details of more recent visits First let me tell u I now go to this Denny's at least nice a week The bad stupid thing is on a couple specials it comes with coffee and juice and tho it says no substitutes u would think that's on food. I mean arenas u wanna get your 10 ur old or even 13 ur old coffee? Or diabetics u want orange juice? It should b a simple 2 non specialty drinks milk orange or apple juice ice tea hot tea etc Well this location has eased up on that stupid rule ( thankful because Denny's never has coffee that I like and I snot need coffee at nite) So I get tea and orange juice They also have a nice deal where if u call or go none n with receipt number do a quick survey about your visit u get two pancakes on next visit Now their new improved pancakes r fluffier and WERE bigger but last two visits the pancakes were noticeably smaller tho still more than enough The hash browns still r generally cooked to barely warm not even any BROWN but I now know to say cooked well r cooked a little crispy.bacon varies some times perfect some tea salty sometimes ok some times extra short. The country fried steak is always good the gravy is always mediocre the mashed potatoes r ok nothing special but not bad. The squash a always very tastes and good which means a lot since I am not a squash lover I ask for it sautéed a little softer cause they r usually sautéed crisp which many prefer The. Basic salad is crispy n decent size w onion cucumber Rayo cheese and croutons on top All seem fresh and crisp The soup is. Usually good but this visit was salty I almost always choose chicken noodle I've country fried steak many times always good not as large as many places but about hamburger patty size and I think it's premise frozen whatever cause always exact size and shape (unlike Brandon's diner which is jagged edge n uneven shapes) but whatever because the TaSTE is very good The roast. Have had many times also and it is good but I wish a little bigger serving size and wish Lee carrots the meat is skimpy but tastes very good tender and moist some fat you have to watch for it cause who wants slimy fat in mouth The thing I DONT like is its roast on TOP of bread Why? Fin want bread in gravy Etc together I will do it But o don't want soggy juice soaked bread So I ask for bread on the side Now on to something I have seen comments on ... Cleanliness! In the last year or so when o have been FREQUENT diner I have never seen a messy unclean looking area it's always bright clean and smells fresh Yes I have seen an occasional tabletop two waiting to b cleared....never for more than a few minutes . Yes I have seen some mapper lesson bathroom but rarely andnisiallynits around the trash can where people can't quite hot that big hole! The bathrooms are also fresh and clean usually 5 stars clean and on a bad visit 4 stars clean! Ok so servers ....who has a fave server and knows his schedule? Yes I do and no it's not creepy! I just so happen to usually get Martin and he's always so super that the time I came in and he wasn't ther I was a little bummed and mentioned it to him so he told me his days off. He's ThAT good I don't have to remember to tell him bread on see r crispy hash browns r NO powdered sugar on French toast: he already knows! So if I have to go and Martin isn't there I look for ISSA he's a close second best and both keep my water glass filled as o drink lots of water n only have have one ice tea If u go to Denny's ask for these guys they r great and b sure to do the survey and mention them by name so they get recognition they deserve. Always enjoy coming to this Denny's because I had good food every time. Today the service was exceptional. Claudia was training Jose and Jose did an excellent job with service. We never had to ask for a refill they paid attention to their customers and acted before we asked. I will definitely recommend this Denny's to anyone nearby that wants great food at a really good price. read more

If i could give NO STARS, i would. This place is the worst. I went a few months, maybe a year ago and got bad service. So i recently decided to give this place another try recently. We waited about 5 minutes for a hoast to even say hello. The worst part was that all the employees knew we were waiting and made eye contact, but no one acknowledge us or said a word. The place was not even that busy and it was around 11pm. By the time they sat us down, we literally waited 20 plus minutes sitting down, with no hello, no drinks, or anything. Until we decided to leave becuase we had no service and will not be spending my time and money on this place. This is not how you run a place, especially a restaurant/diner. Management needs to be on top of all its employers and even be on the floor helping, and observing things that need to be tend to and as well as its employees. read more

This is probably the worst restaurant experience I have had. So I know that customers usually over exaggerate their experience but this actually happened. So we were told the wait was about 10-15 minutes and then we waited for 45 minutes because they were understaffed and had one cook. We waited for 30 minutes after we were sat down WHAT WE WANTED TO ORDER. so we left and then 3 men. (Only one I know named JOHN) took a picture of my license plate and accused me of stealing food? I tried to tell a waiter I did not want food anymore after waiting for this long and no one responded. They proceeded to make jokes after taking pictures of my license plate. You guys need to get your act together or you won't stay together for much longer. I will be calling the Denny's headquarters but you Yelpers should know too if you decide to come here! Seeing as though this is the closest location within 5-10 miles of course I frequent this location while the service is adequate it's not spectacular. Given that fact I prefer to eat at home so having the dennys to go service is great, that is if they would pick up the phone. This is the only location I have ever been to that constantly forgets to turn their phone on in the morning. Otherwise I might have to find a new breakfast place. read more

Worst service! I made an online order and went in to pick up my food. All my orders of pancakes were missing and my egg white omelette was not made with egg whites. The manager proceeds to tell me that they don't have an egg white omelette. So I had to show him the menu on my phone thay shows the Fit Fare liaded veggie omelette is an egg white omelette! I shouldn't have to show you your own menu. It's not the customers responsibility to familiarize you with your menu. I had to drive all the way back there to pick up what I ordered in the first place. The manager didn't care and was not apologetic at all. Next time I'll be going to Ihop or Coco's. read more

Probably one of the slowest Denny's I've been to. Service always seems to take a while even when no one is in the restaurant. Avoid eating there if you want a late night snack because this is when it's the slowest. Also there aren't truly 24 hours. Stopped by to grab a quick snack but guess what they were closing early. Why you lift ask because there was a fight earlier. So what? Fights happen. Call the police and let them handle it. Why are you turning away customers who came for your services as you claim you're 24 hours. They didn't even have the decency to tell me in person rather they me away through the door. This was the most disgusting establishment I've ever eaten at. The hostess let us wait for 15 minutes before even acknowledging us! There were roaches and ants on the floor and the food was undercooked and super salty. Our server took 20 minutes to bring us our drinks and didn't speak a lick of English. Worst Denny's ever. Every time we come to this location the service is horrible. There's never anyone at the host desk to take your name. Instead of helping the manager just waits for the busy servers to run over and seat you when they have time. They almost always mess something up on the order or forget something. Today was the last straw though. First they brought us someone elses order, then I received my omelette without cheese (I specifically requested EXTRA cheese, there was none). To top it off when we received our bill we were charged for a coffee that should have been included with the $8 meal my husband ordered. When we asked the manager (big guy with the pony tail) to take the coffee off of our bill he refused and argued about it. After messing up our order multiple times he had the nerve to be rude and argue over a cup of coffee. Yet he told us the server would he written up for messing up the order...so unprofessional to tell a customer. He did eventually take it off the bill but needs some major training in customer service. We won't be back to this location, I'd rather drive an extra 4 miles even though I live down the street. read more

Had the chance to eat here with some friends & the service was great! Our waitresses (I don't remember her name unfortunately) was very nice! She made jokes with us while she served our drinks & our food was out in a timely manner.. There was 6 of us in our party & she did an amazing job with us. We all had a mixture of breakfast & lunch. I try to avoid this Denny's after multiple disappointing visits but unfortunately it's one of the few places open late and that has a variety of foods that I can choose from. The service is absolutely terrible and it seems almost impossible to get the attention of a waiter. When a waiter does happen to pass by my boyfriend would grab their attention but they always ask us to wait and they never return. The food is only okay, there's nothing special about it. Now we all know this denny's is over there by the university so they want us to believe that they don't take coupons from the phone they don't scan cards from a phone you must still bring in paper coupon paper cards really? I have been going to this Denny's for years and I have always used my phone was in there recently and they want to tell me they just upgraded their system and it no longer takes coupons from the phone or ID from the phone really? Don't expect them to answer the phone to take a phone order I waited on the phone while a ring for 6 minutes as I arrived at Denny's I walked in to hear the phone ringing and three people standing next to it, yes they have customers but they could have picked up the phone to let me know they would be right with me. The evening hostess Ingrid is very rude!! I came for my free birthday grand slam, i took it to go and got home and there was no pancakes in there when i specifically told the lady I wanted pancakes. My fiancé went back to get my food and she was very rude towards him and called us liars, he just walked out. A friend and I went to this Denny's early morning before a midterm. First, it's really affordable if you go with the 2-8 dollar menu and tax is only like 60 cents. I got some hash browns, 2 bacon strips, 2 sausages, and 2 sunnyside eggs. They were decent but not amazing, I mean I've had better at other Denny's. It's probably not known but the waiters here deal with annoying customers. Our waiter Jose was extremely generous and greeted us with a smile on his face. When their was a rude customer my friend wanted to help the waiter deal with the situation. When we came to pay we talked to Jose, the waiter, about the situation and he joked about it saying it was nothing and he's dealt with worse. It made me laugh and totally inspired me for the rest of the day. Jose is a great waiter and really cares about the service and customers. read more
