Came into the restaurant at 0120 to pickup two Door Dash orders, didn't get the food until 0215, I understand being understaffed and busy at this time but this was simply too bad not to report. Tried to give this location a final chance. Unfortunately the service was very slow and poor. As we waited for our table, The hostess was bickering with staff over customer table placement right in front of the customers. So unprofessional and not inviting atmosphere. It was obvious our server was overwhelmed. Very difficult to even receive a coffee refill. She seemed to avoid eye contact and would just rush past the tables. The pancake order was incorrect that I received. They tasted clumpy and burnt. Food tasted just cold and awful. Could not finish plate. Safety caution - as we were walking to our car in Denny's parking lot, we were harassed for money by a rough transient looking individual. Dennys may want to patrol or observe their parking lots. Bad enough we paid inside the restaurant for a garbage meal and then immediately get panhandled outside the restaurant too. Do not recommend this restaurant- look elsewhere ! read more

I started the clock , 20 minutes have gone by and not even a glass of water was brought. As we sit there wondering what gives , I look around and see 6 tables and 3!Servers running around. Me being the DD I had to settle everyone down to give the wait staff a minute or two to gather them self's. Well never happens , 30 minutes later we get our drinks. Finally our food orders where taken 60 minutes after arrival. Our food was good it came really slow . But by that time the restaurant was empty so for it to take longer was a little disappointing, since they they seems that they were redeeming themselves. I will start by saying I am always pleased with the food I receive at Denny's, however I received some less than stellar service. Our server was debra M and she seemed to be seriously in the weeds. It was busy in the restaurant so there was a bit of wait to order which wasn't a big deal, was expected. We were asked what we wanted to drink and i asked for a smoothie and was immediately met by an eye roll and a grunt that she was irritated, like I was asking her to saw off her right hand or something. It was clearly meant to be a blatant sign that there was a problem so I asked what was wrong. She said she personally wouldnt order it because she has to make it and that i will never get it as she still has to make one for another table. I wasn't really sure why that was a problem as i saw other servers bringing smoothies to multiple tables while we were waiting to order, but I didn't want it to be an issue so I asked for an OJ instead which ended up getting sloshed all over the table. When we ordered food, we asked to do the build your our own grand slams but all we were asked was how we wanted our eggs and before we could even get a word in edgewise about what we wanted for other components she took off. We tried to get her attention but we didn't have any success and noticed her walking away from other nearby tables when they were trying to request items. At that point we just decided to forget about it and hope we could get our food quickly and leave. It almost ended up being comical watching other tables around us struggle with requests. We didn't receive napkins nor did the gentleman next to us and noticed our server walk away from him as he asked if he could get a couple napkins. Another couple near by were kind enough to provide him with an extra napkin they had when they saw his request ignored and we gave him the syrup from our table. My husband and I thought it better to just use some wet wipes we had on hand rather than ask for napkins after observing what was going on around us. Another table placed a togo order that never came. I think there may have been a problem with orders being put in wrong as we also at one point had someone else's order brought to our table. The next time she came to our area we asked for our check so we wouldn't have to wait an extended period to pay, to which she sighed and asked "why didn't you ask for it last time i was over here?" Well, that was when we were trying to place our order and weren't even able to put in the order we wanted. I don't typically ask for the check at the same time i have my order taken but i guess i will remember that for next visit. I think some of the other staff started realizing there was a problem in our section as another staff member came over asking tables if they had their orders taken yet. Went there on 9/11/21 in the evening. I have been there a few times in the past month. Today, WOW. Some fat guy in a white sweater pretending to be in management, was speaking to two employees watch us standing at the register to be seated. After a while, he decided to seat us. We went there before dawn and were greeted by a friendly smile by the only waitress on the floor that morning. I'm a little sad that I can't remember her name as it's been about a month or so but i just got this app. We were one of about 4 other two tops in the restaurant. The food was what you would expect from Denny's, we had the typical breakfast fare, but our waitress made our visit exceptional. Although she had been there all night due to a call-out emergency of one of her coworkers she was kind and smiling the whole time. She even offered to make a fresh pot of coffee when we ordered. We could tell she was busy and could have used help but she didn't miss a beat. Her pleasant, hardworking attitude should be commended...being a server myself I recognize how tiring an all night shift can be, especially when understaffed. Okay so I've never posted a negative review before but my experience was pretty frustrating. I work in the service industry so I completely understand the struggle of being weeded (extremely busy). We got sat in about 3 min, that's no problem, and it had been ~25 min and about 5 different servers walking past us later, that someone walked past, looking surprised to see us, finally asked if we needed drinks. Flavor was nonexistent and the so-called scrambled eggs I think must have been powdered and I have no idea what kind of cheese was supposed to be in them. The worst place I've ever been in my life. The worst service I've ever had. They served me almost fully uncooked chicken. The damn thing was damn near still clucking. The audacity to even think that something like this would be acceptable blows my mind. They did offer to redo the platter but no one apology was given. Me and my boyfriend have lived near here for about two years. The first year we tried Denny's and had a terrible experience. The service was the worst I've ever had at any restaurant. We had been sitting for 15 minutes when I finally asked the guy who looked to be serving our area if he had our table. I got an eye roll and "I guess I can take your order". Well we decided to go ahead and order even with the attitude. Well that was not the best idea. He brought our drinks and I asked for some cream for my coffee. 10 minutes passed still no creamer. The server was talking with another server by their stand in the dining room. alAt this point we were done. We told the manger we would pay for our drinks but we didn't want the food. She was very understanding and that's about the only pleasant thing about the situation. Well we decided to try it again almost a year later thinking it would be better. Well that didn't go so well. We sat down and were sitting for 15 minutes. Nobody came to take our order even though two servers walked by us multiple times. Another couple sat down across from us and a server was walking out and I grabbed his attention and he told me to wait just a minute he had to go get there drinks. We decided to give this Denny's another try, after several less than wonderful experiences. Guess we won't be back. Ordered coffee and got a cup 3/4 full and barely lukewarm. Knew it wasn't fresh when it took 2 creamers to get it not very dark. I ordered ultimate omelette with added avocado, an english muffin and no hashbrowns. My husband also ordered an ultimate omelette but with no bread, just hashbrowns. After a pretty good wait the food arrived...both plates had hashbrowns. My husband looked at his and said...this looks like jalapenos rather than green pepper. I looked at mine and had the same concern. I made the mistake of tasting and was glad I had the avocado to put out the fire. We were lucky that a guy came by and asked if everything was OK. My husband told him NO...and that we didn't expect jalapenos and he immediately saw we had the wild west omelettes. My husband said...give me a check for the coffee and we'll go. He asked for a chance to make it right. My husband told him he'd have to comp it otherwise we'd pay for the coffee and go. He turned around fresh omelettes quickly and they were good. Of course by that time, the butter on my english muffin and congealed and it was cold. The waitress showed us the ticket and it did say Utimate Omelette. We told her the coffee was not even warm. She said I'll get you more, there's a fresh pot. She finally made it back with the coffee which was actually fresh and good. However, at this point it was just yet another bad experience. We'd just as soon go elsewhere rather than to come back and hope they can get it right the first time. My girlfriend buddy and I met here for breakfast one Saturday morning recently. It was really busy but we got a table no problem. We had a sweet waitress who was on top of things. I ordered some type of healthy egg scramble with turkey bacon and a whole wheat english muffin and I was really happy with it. She had more of a standard Dennys breakfast that came with fried potatoes which I had to steal a few, a girl can't live on healthy alone! Her pancakes looked delicious too but I resisted the urge to scoop those onto my plate. Honestly I had never been to a bad Denny's before. First I was met with a disgruntled waitress that thankfully decided to go home instead of wait on our table. She blew and rolled her eyes when I said how many. 7 people if you want to know. Honestly the best person there was a blond middle aged woman that had a smile on her face. She can't run the place alone. The food took over a hour to come and the appetizers came after the food. And they were not busy at all. I even had to get up to ask for napkins and utensils. The staff were talking and sitting and even went out to smoke as a group with people inside. The bathrooms smelled like Frank from shameless had peed on all the walls. That was in both men and women bathrooms. The cheese sticks tasted like they came from the dollar store and were microwaved. Plates had 5 French fries. My hash browns were wet and looked like they came off the floor. Only thing I can say was good was the burgers and Buffalo bites. That isn't saying a lot. Thankfully they took the cheese sticks off the bill. I will say they need to get their act together and pay more attention to their tables and food. read more

I'm not the type to nit pick about service after all Denny's is not a 5 star restaurant, however I must say so far this location has been nothing but a disappointment. I was ecstatic when I found out about this opening since there is only one other Denny's in the Raleigh area and this one is fairly close to my house. My first experience was an order for take out. One of the entrees ordered was a make your own burger. There were quite a few ingredients so I asked the person taking the order if she wanted me to repeat them back to her and she said that she got it. I showed up and to my surprise the majority of the order was done but something told me to ask again what was on the burger. She had only written down a few of the ingredients. So I watched her write down the missing ones and take it back to the kitchen. When we got home it still had not been correct and they completely forgot one of the side items. I called for the manager but he was not available, he ended up calling me 4 hours later at 4 a.m. when I was asleep and didn't even leave a message. I called the next day and was told to come in and speak with the manager, I did. When I got there I was eager to explain what happened but he didn't want to hear what I had to say and just gave me 2 free entree cards and told me to come back. We did, tonight. I figured that an in-house experience would be more promising, but I was wrong. The place was not busy yet the food took a very long time and I could notice the other customers frustrated as well by this. My son spilled my drink and immediately the manager on duty told someone to clean it up but for some reason they cleaned a table nobody was even sitting at? The manager cleared up some of it but it was still wet enough that there were puddles of drink on the table which didn't get cleaned up until about 10 min. later. My food was correct as well as the children's however again the burger was wrong. The order was for the new Bacon Avocado Cheeseburger on a sesame seed bun with added jalapenos. When it arrived, there was no bacon, no jalapeno, no cheese, and a cheddar bun instead of the sesame one the menu stated (apparently they don't have sesame buns!?). We told the waiter when he finally came back to the table and I watched him take it back to the kitchen. The cook just added the ingredients to the same burger which was now cold, the slice of american cheese wasn't even melted. My husband refused to eat it. I asked the manager for a straw but apparently she forgot, so I asked a different person who wasn't even our waiter and finally got one some time later. When it got time to pay the manager asked how everything was and we were honest and even explained that this was our second bad experience. She was kind enough to "take care of" the whole order and we didn't have to pay. I don't know if I'll be back, if so I will try the day shift but it won't be at night, which sucks because late night/ all night/ 24 hour service is what Denny's is known for in my opinion. It is very clean and neat. The food was good The only problems i had was this hostess area and the service. We ended up waiting 25 minutes instead of the 5-10 they told me. Coming from a background in hostessing they really were slow and did not clean off tables very fast. One of the hostesses had an attitude made of poo and the other only moved if poo attitude told her to. No team work at all. The server started out good but ended not good. My boyfriend and I decided to go here one night to finally check this place out. Denny's has always had good memories for me of family brunches and hot chocolate, so I was a little excited about the nostalgia factor. When we arrived, there was a waiter screaming about a break as we walked in, before storming out of the building. I was a little apprehensive of the type of service we would receive after witnessing that. We were sat by the manager, Ken. There were about five tables around us, and I quickly realized that only one poor girl was taking care of everyone. After waiting for about five minutes for a drink order (I wasn't mad, Libby was running her tail off), Ken finally seemed to understand that maybe she might need some help and ambled over to our table to get our drinks. He seemed way more interested in trying to look down my shirt, than actually doing his job as a manager, and helping out where needed. Needless to say, I was a little creeped out. Libby dropped off our drinks, and, given how busy she was, gave us amazing service from start to finish. She's a true professional, and definitely deserves to be working somewhere that actually will appreciate her hard work, friendliness, and serious dedication to her job. We ordered the cheese fries to start, boyfriend got a steak, I got chicken fingers. The food was good, hot and fresh. I definitely recommend getting the seasoned fries, tho. Amazing. TL;DR Food was about what you would expect from a Denny's, but Libby's seriously amazing service blew me away. I went here with my mother and the service was terrible!!! Not only were they slow with our food, but we ordered a dessert from the Manager of all people and it never came. We sat for 10 minutes and nothing happened. So we had to leave because she had to go to work and the guy at the cashier tried to charge us for food that didn't come. And he forced us to pay for it. Came in because we had free pancakes with the Stealz app and I really wish we just got them to go. As soon as we ordered our drinks I didn't receive mine until well after the appetizer came out. We ordered pancake puppies which were pretty hard to eat. They took a while to come out, but it was in the morning and pretty busy. The waitress didn't write down our order and of course it came out wrong. Service was kind of awkward, left a 20% tip but honestly the service didn't compliment it. She wasn't very attentive and when she was at the table it was just strange. She was also training someone so you would think that as a trainer she would be doing her very best!
