Oof! I am going to hate this review because I like everything about this Denny's: It's clean! Friendly wait staff! Decent food for a Denny's! Are there better local breakfast spots nearby? Yes! But sometimes I like the anonymity of Denny's... it's roomy and comfortable. If you look at my bio, you'll see I was a cook several decades before retiring. Seen a lot of industry change. The one I disdain the most is dehydrated hash brown potatoes. I understand why corporate restaurant franchises love them: no freezer space needed and they're cheap as eff. But, to me, they taste like "nobody cares about the customer" potatoes. When I order breakfast, I usually sub these awful dehydrated rehydrated hash browns for french fries. And the waitresses usually charge me 13 bucks for my simple breakfast of scrambles, bacon, and fries. With iced tea. No frills. Not so last visit. The "manager" clonked me with a 23 dollar check because "looks like you built your own slam". Bleh. Technically, she's probably correct, based on menu juggling. But... she wasn't very polite about it. So yes, Denny's, you got your extra ten bucks. Hurrah for you! Well done! But you lost a customer who liked bringing his Mom there, his girlfriend there, and occasionally, meet a friend or two... I even recommended ya! No more... Adios! read more

Like all nasty chain restaurants, I won't eat there unless I'm on the road and nothing else is open. My college dining hall served a better meal for breakfast, lunch, or dinner Dennys doesn't t have ambience. It's a carbon copy corporate place. Service can be bad or good. Went to Denny's this morning and Daniella was our waitress. What a charming young lady, answered our questions on different meals and never let our coffee get cold or below full in the cup. All with a cheerful disposition and lots of smiles. As a retired business owner I know why Denny's has been such a successful for so long.... Employees. Lunch with Mom, she chose Denny's. The first thing I noticed was how clean everything was. Quite a large lunch crowd, we only waited a few minutes before the waitress came and took our order. We both ordered a cheeseburger. I gotta tell ya, they make a very decent burger! The veggies topping the burger were super fresh and the burger presentation was excellent. The restaurant was a bit noisy, not complaining, just pointing out that business is good for a reason! Oh, and be sure to check out the burger menu, lots of choices! read more

I'm going to start off by saying we were here on Christmas Day to celebrate with our son who lives in the area. It was busy. We were grateful to be seated very quickly. We had our beverages within 5 minutes and the server took our order right away. We recognized that we might need to wait longer than usual because of the holiday. After sitting for an hour with our beverages and nothing else I started looking around and that's when I realized that none of the people who were already there when we arrived had food either. I went to the ladies room and along the way on that side of the restaurant only 2 tables had food. After two hours we finally got our order. Nothing was hot but we didn't have the time or inclination to send anything back. I'm pretty sure my turkey dinner had cycled through the microwave multiple times because the turkey that didn't have gravy on it was completely dried out. The server was polite and friendly but I think he may have been the only server working as I didn't see another. I didn't expect anything spectacular at Denny's but a restaurant full of people and only two table with food for a very long period of time wasn't expected. I feel like there was something very wrong in the kitchen causing this kind of a delay. I am suggesting that the manager on duty would have done well to walk around and talk with the guests to assure them that they were working on the issue. read more

This week was our Families week long vacation trip to Prescott, and my husbands favorite Diner is Denny's. This was within close proximity to our Airbnb so we decided to give it a go. The host and waitress were both friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent, as always, even though I initially wanted sourdough bread. I was informed that they don't offer sourdough, only artisan bread. I asked if it was a Prescott thing, since most Denny's locations in California offer sourdough, but the waitress wasn't sure if it was just this location or all of Prescott. Either way, the artisan bread was good, and it didn't detract from the meal at all. I also give this place another thumbs up since I didn't get much sleep the night before, I needed COFFEE and the waitress made regular rounds to top off my coffee- THANK YOU! We went there this morning for my birthday breakfast and there was no one at the counter to seat us. The couple ahead of us left. The two other people trying to pay left the money. We ended up leaving and two other couples left as well. Dennys just lost a bunch of money today because no one wanted to seat us. There were at least 3 servers and a host. It's unfortunate that the management can't see the major problems or they just don't care. read more

This location has disappointing service and at times a long wait despite having few customers. Today unfortunately, our server looked sick and kept wiping her nose on her sleeve while taking orders. I understand needing a paycheck, however it would be helpful to wipe the nose in the back and wash her hands.
