Salmon salad
Tiffany Y.

Denny's is a casual restaurant chain that has locations across the U.S. and many other countries. I previously ate at this particular Denny's in Ross Township in 2016 and had a 3-star experience. I decided to try this restaurant again in 2024, and I again rate it as 3 stars. This Denny's menu lists appetizers (e.g., chicken tenders and nachos), salads, burgers and other sandwiches, breakfast foods (e.g., pancakes, French toast, bacon, and omelettes), dinners (e.g., country-fried steak, t-bone steak, and lasagna), sides (e.g., mac 'n cheese and mashed potatoes), desserts (e.g., cheesecake and apple-pie crisp), and beverages (e.g., sodas and milkshakes). Prices are reasonable. For our most recent purchase, my husband and I ordered dinner through Denny's website. My husband picked up the food at the restaurant, and he said that the food was not ready on time. He said that he watched the employees cook the food. He also said that an employee forgot to put salmon on my salmon salad, so he reminded them. He did say that they spoke nicely. Here are the ratings for our foods: Salmon salad - 3.5 stars - This salad contained iceberg lettuce, cucumbers, grape tomatoes, cheddar cheese, croutons, and my choice of light Italian dressing. It was topped with a salmon filet that was seasoned with garlic and herbs. The ingredients were fresh, but the salmon tasted a bit fishier than usual. Strawberry French toast - 3 stars - My husband ordered this French toast. He ate only part of it and said that it did not like it. I ate some of it, and I thought that it tasted OK. Four slices of brioche French toast were filled with cream cheese and topped with strawberries and strawberry sauce. On the side was bacon, scrambled eggs, and sausage, and my husband preferred the meats over the eggs. Slow-cooker meaty melt - 4 stars - This sandwich contained flavorful beef, caramelized onions, and cheddar cheese on buttery toast. My husband and I thought that this sandwich tasted very good. My husband chose a side of hash browns, and they tasted OK.

Stopped in for some breakfast after my son's Dr appointment in the area. We were seated quickly in a close to empty restaurant. The server was nice, but the service a bit on the slow side. I suspect they have staffing issues. My breakfast crepe was a bit overdone, but otherwise okay. The hotcakes were okay at best. My son inhaled his food without complaint...but that's not unusual. Overall...it was a Denny's...expectations met. Not fantastic, but not bad. I'll probably drive by the next time I'm in the area.

Great breakfast that maybe less known like Pamela's, Kelly'O, or Grand Concourse, but the food service and atmosphere are great! Located between Lawrencevile and Strip district next to the Roberto Clemente museum, sit inside or outside and enjoy breakfast for a donut! Max and Zoey and their team are wonderful in providing excellent food and service! If your a fan of Mac Miller you will most likely hear one of his song played while ordering. food service atmosphere

Thank you Denny's for proper scrambled eggs!

Amazing food and service. Large portions and cheap. Open 24/7 as all Denny's nationwide are and closes on very few if any holidays.

He has been there for 5 years and it shows :) This is a great place to always make reservations during peak seasons. Being that we were there on New Years it was a madhouse with crowds of people waiting to be seated. Thankfully we were escorted to our booth immediately. Make that reservation! Upon sitting down I was shocked to see all of the silverware sitting right on the table and not wrapped in a napkin or sitting on top of one. That's a miss for me, I don't care if the table was just wiped clean! Every single utensil had water spots, making them look dirty.. some quick polishing would fix that! I ordered a Bourbon & Honey without looking at the menu, and was heartbroken to find out that has been removed!! That was one of the best drinks ever, and I don't drink! I opted for a Georgia Peach instead, and it was delicious as usual. I believe this was my 5th visit to a Cheesecake Factory, so I already had some things in mind! Cheeseburger Springrolls are a must, they are bomb every single time. Not sure why they started serving them with queso in addition to the Thousand Island-esque one? The cheese doesn't please in that case. The Korean Fried Cauliflower is absolutely delicious as well as the dip for them. The Chicken Potstickers could have been hotter, temperature-wise! Everything was satisfactory, but pictures are lacking on my part. (sorry!) Truffle-Honey Chicken was my meal & it was enjoyable! I wish there was a stronger truffle flavor though (personal preference). Chicken was hot, crispy, and fresh, mashed potatoes were garlicky and creamy despite the skins being included, & the asparagus was charred beautifully with great flavor! I decided on the Fresh Banana Cream Cheesecake for my free birthday slice & it was so light and scrumptious! I ended up packing up a White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle slice for home which also was a hit!

Trivia and live music are sometimes available for entertainment. In the past few years, my husband and I have eaten at Wheelfish a few times. For our meals, the hostess and waitress promptly and politely served us. Here are my reviews for the foods: Pretzel bites - 4.5 stars - This appetizer was a large size. We really liked the flavor of the pretzels and the honey-mustard dip. We thought that the cheese dip was OK. Pulled-pork nachos - 5 stars - This appetizer of nachos was huge! Many tortilla chips were topped with gooey cheese, pulled pork, jalapeños, sour cream, and pico de gallo. Fried deviled eggs - 4 stars - The egg white was breaded and fried. It contained a yolk filling and was topped with a spicy jalapeño. We prefer traditional deviled eggs, but these ones tasted good. Mix-and-match soft tacos - 4.5 stars - The pulled-pork taco contained pulled pork and vegetable toppings that were very flavorful. For the brisket taco, I enjoyed the flavor of the brisket and toppings, but the juices made the tortilla soggy and caused it to fall apart. Shrimp tacos - 4.5 stars - These were on sale on a Thursday. The shrimp were breaded, and the toppings of napa slaw, mango salsa, and chipotle aioli tasted very good. Meat entrees - 4.5 stars - My husband liked the smoked chicken the most (5 stars), and he described it as being "delicious." We also ate ribs (4.5 stars), kielbasa (4 stars), brisket (5 stars), salmon (4 stars, needs more seasoning), and pulled pork (4.5 stars). Macaroni and cheese - 5 stars - My husband said that this macaroni was the cheesiest thing that he has ever eaten. He described it as "delicious." I ate some of the macaroni, and I agree that it was extremely cheesy. French fries - 5 stars - These fries were perfectly crispy and salty. Grilled vegetables - 4.5 stars - I wanted to make my meals more nutritious, so I chose a side of grilled vegetables, which are seasonal and included peppers, corn, squash, and zucchini. This mix of veggies had a very good flavor. Side salad - 4 stars - This salad contained a lettuce mix, some tomatoes, some pickled onions, and my choice of dressing. It was fresh but was slightly plain. Pork 'n beans - 3 stars - My husband ordered this side. He ate only a small amount of the beans and sauce, and he thought that they tasted just OK. For drinks, we had iced tea, diet Pepsi, and water. The waitresses brought refills.

It took them over a year to renovate it and they still aren't done in the back and the parking lot is a little rutted but the inside is very nicely done. There is a huge bar and some high and low tables scattered throughout. The clientele is mostly locals and lot of laborers grabbing a drink and a bite to eat after working hard all day which was great to see. It's super casual and very open inside. We had a few beers and the bartender was good. She was attentive and was waiting on 20 folks at the bar as well as table drinks. The manager was able to help serve some food to help her out but never once asked us how everything was. That was a little bit of a missed opportunity in my opinion for a new business. We ordered a breakfast burger that came with some hashbrowns on the side. I assumed, which is my fault totally, that the burger would come with lettuce, tomato, etc. but it truly was JUST a burger, egg, and cheese and absolutely no other toppings. That was disappointing and I really wish the bartender would have asked if I wanted anything on it. I ended up using ketchup for moisture since she was so busy and I was hungry. :) The hashbrowns were frozen and fried so they were nothing special. I think this place has tremendous potential. We'll be back to try something else. It seems busy so that's a good sign.

Great sports watching venue, with wall to wall TV screens all over. Clean, shiny, and with some fun sports games too (i. e. golf video, darts, etc). The menu offers lots of ol local favorites and some with a nice twist (i. e. pulled pork sandwiches, flatbread pizzas, salads, Chipped ham Sammy, etc). Had the Isleys chipped ham sandwich which they serve warm with melted cheddar, grilled onions on a bun. However, they were gracious enough to make it for me cold, with Mayonnaise and a slice of cheese. This is unlike another place down the road (RI) from them that wouldn't adjust items on a sandwich for me last week. The waiter/bartender was super chill too, easy to talk to and basically good at his job. Our refills came quickly and without asking. He followed up to see what we wanted a couple times and the food arrived in a reasonable time (not much waiting at all). This was so very different from that same day where at our usually spot (another old bar/restaurant further down the road, "SJ") we had to walk out just after ordering lunch due to getting attitude from a mouthy waitress. Glad we decided to try this new spot! Great job! I think we found our new local "go to" bar/restaurant. Looking forward to it and to soon trying breakfast there on weekends too. A must try f you haven't been there yet.

Very cool looking building, and the outdoor seating near the water and the fire makes you feel like you're on vacation. The waiter was also super friendly and played along with our jokes. He strongly recommended the chimichurri chicken, so I ordered it. I like that there's a healthier part of the menu too, although with what I ordered, I wish there were more salad greens. It tasted excellent with the chimichurri sauce, but I wish it was less heavy on the rice. More lettuce greens and less rice, or even completely swapping the rice for a salad, would have made me like this a lot more. Maybe even just calling it or having the option for a chimichurri salad and making it a really robust salad with more greens and vegetables. The rice wasn't bad, just kind of an excessive portion and didn't really go with the meal. My friend really loved his burger, and the pulled pork sandwich was good. While I'm not usually a French fry person, theirs were good, and I would actually recommend serving the fries with the spicy cheese dip they serve with the soft pretzels to take it up a notch. That was an interesting choice for an appetizer. While I'm not really a beer person, I can say the beer they serve here is very smooth after trying a sip lol. We especially loved hanging out by the fire pit after, especially since it was a chilly night. There's just something so comforting about sitting by a fire.
