The WORST customer service I've ever experienced. We were the first people through the doors before 6am, no one else was in the restaurant. We sat down and were told someone would be with us shortly. A few minutes later, two men came through the doors and were greeted by name (so I'm assuming they're regulars at this location). Their drinks and orders were taken immediately, WHILE WE STILL WAITED FOR SOMEONE TO TAKE OUR DRINK ORDER. Finally a lady came to take our drink order, we wanted 2 coffees and a glass of water. She brought us our coffees but no water and said she'd be back with the water. The other men who came in after us received their meals and paid and left before we'd even received our food. She forgot parts of our orders. AND WE DIDNT GET OUR WATER UNTIL AFTER WE HAD FINISHED EATING AND ALREADY PAID THE BILL. We'll just go to ihop next time. read more

Friends and I were looking for food around 10:30pm. We decided Dennys would be okay to grab a snack. 1. No professionalism from some guy that was left in charge 2. It took 10 minutes to get drinks 3. Never received some of our food and we didn't bother since we knew it would take too long 4. Our waitress left in the middle of our dinner? 5. One waitress said there was only one cook and no manager We all work in the hospitality industry and that was bad. We didn't have high expectations - if any at all, but wow. This is my favorite place to eat. The service is great, the food is always good and the prices aren't too high. I have never had a rude or unheplful waiter. The wait time for food can get a little long sometimes, but that is to be expected because that has only happend to me when the restaurant is jam packed. The only complaint I can think of is that I have recieved burnt toast two or three times, but that's out of the 30+ times I've been here. The place is kept clean and I've always been told "have a nice morning/afternoon/night" upon leaving. I make it a point to come here when going out to dinner/breakfast/lunch with my friends and I even made sure to come on my birthday (free grandslam!, but I'm not sure how long that promotion lasts). read more

This evening we came to dine here. We ordered Buffalo tenders as appetizers, they were very salty. The service was very slow we waited and hour for my sons pancake meal, it was also made incorrectly and the pancakes were overcooked. We asked for sausage instead of bacon. When they brought the food they did not bring syrup. We waited and no server came. My husband had to go ask for it and yet no server came. We finally had to get up and get it from another table. We had ordered a French toast slam to go and that was not yet ready, so we cancelled that order. They were polite but not one time did they apologize to us. When we finally got a server to come over we asked for a to go box and the check. When we walked out to our car we were found with 4 individuals arguing outside the restaurant one looked to be an employee. This experience was ridiculous, never had I ever experienced this. Will not be coming back. There was no sense of direction. It seemed like there was no managers on duty. read more

Oh Denny's. I though I knew you. Yet for the second time in a decade I find a terrible Denny's. Looking at you Holobrook,Arizona Denny's. I don't expect much from Denny's. Hot food, usually Semi tasty and Descent coffee. Well this Denny's didn't deliver. I don't know how to say I would like my hash browns extra crispy any better than I would like them crispy on both sides. Nope. They Totally blew it, and my waitress gave them to me like that knowing I wanted extra crispy. This was at 630 in the morning on a Monday. Nobody was in there. When I mentioned that the hash browns were underwhelming and not to my order she just nodded and walked away. I kid you not. We didn't see here for twenty minutes after. I also made a huge mistake and had biscuits with gravy that were sooooo salty, I spit out my bite of food. In to a napkin you savages. Coffee tasted old and I love Denny's coffee. Anyway, I just couldn't believe it. Bad effort kids. Some times you get Denny's some times it gets you. I'll stick with the el Camino real Denny's. They have it together. read more

Service was on point but the food was terrible, I Got the tater tot's with cheese and chili and you can taste the freezer burn on the tater tot's my husband got the Philly cheesesteak and the meat was really chewy my daughter got steak with brussels sprouts and the smell of the brussels sprouts was super overpowering and fresh ones don't smell that bad and strong. Go to any Denny's BUT THIS ONE! Save yourself from a horrible experience. We went for breakfast and the host told us 20 minutes and we waited for 45. The waiter got our orders wrong and when they were finally correct the bread was burned on both of our orders. The waiter had a bad attitude and just seemed like he didn't want to be there. This is the worst Denny's that me and my boyfriend have been to this is the second time their food was disgusting or we had an issue with what was served. First time we came in I got a burger I can't remember what he got but my bread was greasy and disgusting this time we both got skillets mine taste good chicken broccoli bacon and potatoes with a nice white sauce and his chicken chorizo mushrooms and potatoes but his chicken taste like grit and fat and our appetizers were drenched in nasty grease. I gave them three stars because customer service was good Joshua was amazing and the lady who helped us gave us half off of the nasty skillet and deduct it the difference from the appetizer because we traded it for the nachos which are hard to mess up but in all they were good not to mention they had a guy in there sleeping and he was snoring out loud. On October 29,2016, in my girlfriend and I visited Denny's restaurant at 605 College Boulevard, Oceanside, California thinking that we would be would get me all pretty quick (we frequent the restaurant ALOT) (considering it was about 1:30 AM.) We arrived at the restaurant to find the lobbying pact with teenagers from the vista high school band. Which was not an issue at all, The real issue was the sub-par food and the service time. my GF ordered the steak and eggs and I ordered the Chicken fried steak meal. our wait for our food was Approx. 30 min. and that was My order only which was Luke warm ... her order arrived about 5 mins. later and the Hash Browns were burned to a Cripps (they were actually BURNT not brown, or even dark brown.... they were BLACK) I have never seen anything like it. so, we asked to have a new order of hash browns cooked for her and when her plate was reserved to her at the table, the plate was completely inedible and swimming in cooking oil. Hash browns were saturated in cooking oil; Her stake was dripping with oil, our waitress had no explanation. we ended up leaving extremely disappointed and hungry for the second time in a month. I don't know if this is a training store but staff is coming and going so fast that we can't keep track of their names anymore. and it was a GREAT PLACE to get a bite to eat. Had to ask front desk for one and got a plastic one. Waiter took our order. While I was ordering another employe came up and whispered something in our waiters ear. I believe it was personal talk. Unprofessional. Finished taking our order. No silverware. Appetizer came out. No silverware. Food came out. No silverware. I asked for my chx to be warmed up extra hot. Came out cold. Never got offered a coffee refill. Had to ask for silverware 2 times before he remembered to bring it out. And when we finally did get silverware. There was cheese still on 1 of the spoons. Walked by our table about 4-5 times. Never stopped to ask how food was or if we needed anything. This location has an open kitchen for the staff. This means you can hear all the personal conversations between employees. Unprofessional. I didn't come to Denny's to listen to employees yelling across the kitchen to each other. I've been here before and same thing every time. Yes the woman at the front counter gave me a discount and offered to remake my food but I already ate and salad doesn't last very well as leftovers. I wanted my food done correctly the first time. I've worked in the restaurant industry. Including Denny's. I know how it works and i understand when it's busy it's busy. But when ur 1 of 5 tables on 1 side of the restaurant with 2 servers in the section and get no attention... That's just bad service. I understand it's Xmas but the service was ridiculous. Patronized this place today. Everything was sticky- the floors, the table, the seats. Everything. The floors stunk like filthy mop water. I had my service dog with me, and he has to have a bath after laying under the table on these floors. My Super Bird sandwich came with hair inside the sandwich. All the staff looked miserable, especially the manager. No greeting, no smile, in enthusiasm, just a blank sad face. There was literally 2 tables in the entire place when we (a party of 6) came in. It took the manager without an exaggeration 15 minutes to "set up" our table which consisted of paper place mats, already wrapped silverware and menus. I asked twice while we waited if our table was ready, to which she rudely replied "I'm still setting it up". When we finally sat and opened our sticky menus we knew we had to order fast if there was any chance of getting our food in less than 30 minutes. Our server looked equally sad and had no emotion. I'm still in disbelief in what just happened and how after getting the easiest part of our order (drinks) way wrong they managed to mess up every single thing we ordered after that. First, they brought out our drinks and my daughter had ordered an Oreo milk shake, so why did they bring a sundae cup full of vanilla ice cream? Moving forward the skillet my son wanted, mainly for the rice was not an option, because they discontinued the rice for 3 weeks according to the waitress. So then he ordered the chicken loaded potato skillet and he got a dry potatoe and bacon skillet. No broccoli, nothing. I ordered the santa Fe skillet which was missing the mushrooms and onions. The portion size also was a joke. My daughter ordered the gravy and biscuits with over easy eggs and they brought her scrambled eggs. Waitress never bother bringing an extra placemat being there was only two at the table when we were seated and clearly it was 3 of us dining. Manager comes over and says well we can give you a discount and we can have the items that were missing from your food choices brought out to you. What, are you kidding me? We all know and I'm sure you can agree if she brings the items out, it will not come close to what it's supposed honestly taste like. Normally, any restaurant will redo the entire dish not just bring out the missing items for you to add to your food. In disbelief we just informed Denny's employees we were leaving and there was no need for any efforts to make corrections. And that was it, nobody said anything or tried to somehow explain what had happened. So we left. I've been to this location several times and the food is always good. We've had quick service and very slow service.. but I think that was because our waiter had about 10 other tables and no other waitresses in sight. The pancake puppies are delish! I was surprised at how nice the restaurant looked, but then, the nice stuff ended there. Our siverware was dirty and when they brought new silverware, the napkins had coffee stains on them. A fly kept hovering over our table. I ordered pot roast and it looked good on the menu. When my order came out, it was like a kids meal.
