The staff here is GREAT! They are always so kind and food is always on point. Fast and easy, but great vibes.

my friend & i had a really disappointing, confusing & upsetting experience with the staff member named destiny at this location tonight. we came around 9pm, & he first asked if they were making more honey sesame chicken & super greens. this immediately gave her a sour facial expression & she snarkily said "yeah, but you would have to wait". i then asked if they were also planning on making more buldak chicken too. she had the same facial expression of disgust and repeated herself VERBATIM, the sense of being inconvenienced as if she was cooking the dishes herself. i initially dismissed this, figuring she probably had a long day. for context, i tried the buldak chicken for the first time about a week prior at this same location. this dish obviously has bell peppers & at the time, i asked the super polite lady (i caught her name but can't remember) if there is any way at all that she could do me a favor not to get as many bell peppers in my order if i were to opt for the buldak chicken; if not, i didn't mind ordering something else. that lady was enthusiastic & willing to go the extra mile to just gently scoop around the bell peppers for me. fast forward to today, i proceeded to ask destiny for the same favor & prefaced my question with "i KNOW this may be odd to ask, but could you please try to avoid including bell peppers". her face continued to sour, transitioned to an offended facial expression as if i've just personally insulted her bloodline. "i mean, there's nothing i can really do. i don't know what you want me to do. there's only so much i can do. there are bell peppers... in" she retorted curtly. obviously the dish has bell peppers & it's an odd request & i still work in customer service too with previous experience in the food industry, so the last thing i want to do is inconvenience anyone. but since my experience with the other lady a week prior was SO positive & refreshing, i wanted to nicely ask destiny for the same thing. destiny was unwilling to accommodate & she made it very clear through her passive aggression, then tried to mask with aggressive contrived over-politeness. my friend urged me to talk to the supervisor, but i chalked it up to her having a bad day & tried to give her grace. the reason why i'm even writing this is what came after. i watched her scoop the buldak chicken dish into my order specifically (my friend got the same thing as me along with his honey sesame chicken) & not only did she not "try to avoid" bell peppers, she actively shorted me on my portion, only giving me three pieces of chicken with a bunch of bell peppers at the bottom (pictured below). even the chow mein & rice were smaller. i didn't get to take a photo of my friend's order, but his was at least 3x the amount i had received, to the point where he even shared pieces of his buldak chicken with me. it's one thing to be unwilling to accommodate someone's request despite the restaurant being slow, but it's completely out of line to deliberately short the portion of food that someone is paying for with their own money just because you didn't like how they tried asking you for a simple favor. even when bagging, my friend asked for a pair of chopsticks & a fork for me, & when she asked him for sauces, he mentioned teriyaki for me. no fork was included, no sauce was included, & to add to the pettiness of the entire confusing situation, the fortune cookies she had included were both CRUSHED. and obviously deliberately. i wish i was making this up. she then forced a smile before handing the bag, exerted the same aggressive contrived over-politeness, & looked me dead in the eyes and said "i tried to avoid the bell peppers" while fully knowing she did nothing of the sort besides scoop a smaller portion of the entree into my order because she didn't think i was watching her scoop the orders into our plates. again, i can relate and empathize when someone has had a bad workday & everything just feels so aggravating, but the energy & retaliation was misdirected towards me when i was trying to be as polite & gentle as possible since i did not want to ruffle any feathers. i am not a punching bag & i definitely shouldn't have to suffer the consequences of her lack of emotional regulation at the expense of the portions of my fully paid meal. it was just really confusing, sad, disappointing, & at this rate, it's not the monetary value & more about the principle of the matter. & i wish the lady who helped me here and was super nice to us a week prior was there instead. even my friend was shocked at her behavior & how everything was handled, so he had filled out a survey with the same experience since we were on one check. i wish destiny well & i hope she has better days working here, but i don't ever want her to touch my food order when i come here next. the world sucks right now & i get that, but kindness doesn't take that much out of you to give to others who mean no harm. read more

They were so busy there was nobody there to hand me my bag of food so I looked on the rack and picked up my name by the time I got home I realized that 1/3 of my order was not in the bag. I called and let them know and they said drive back. It's a 20 minute drive each way. There are no sauces. The food was horrible. It was cold disgusting place inside we will never go back and I will guarantee everybody in the new development at North River Farms that I know will not go there either. read more

This is my first time ordering from this Panda Express Restaurant location. I ordered one quantity of Vegetable Fried Rice, Grilled Teriyaki Chicken , and one Fried Apple Pie Roll and one Chicken Egg Roll. My total purchase was $22.00. I picked up this Chinese food and then I drove back to my home to my Oceana Condominium at 4 p.m. I had to re-heat my food in my microwave oven when I arrived home. Afterwards, I took bites of this sliced Teriyaki Chicken. This meat was very tender and lightly sweetened with Teriyaki sauce. Teriyaki Chicken is my favorite dish I usually order first before anything else. The Vegetable Fried Rice was very tasty! And my dessert was the one Fried Apple Pie Roll was very crispy and the apples were very sweet and delicious. Their customer service was fast and friendly to me. read more

Panda is a fast food chain, food is good and as expected What prompted me to write this 5 star review is for the service I received, specifically from Anna. I was solo parenting, and decided to grab dinner here with my toddler and baby. One hand on toddler, one arm carrying baby. After paying for food, Anna, without me even saying a word, grabbed my tray and asked where I was sitting so she can bring it there for me. My son had a nose bleed. As I was tending to him at the table, she came back with a make shift ice pack. Again, without me saying anything. Thank you Anna. I lost my receipt so I am reviewing Panda Express here instead. This is the Panda on Oceanside blvd and College. First off I am totally pleased to say that this Panda is a very well run and organized place. Natalie was filling orders and Avia was ringing them up. It was quite busy at lunch time but these to young ladies went to task and managed all who came in through the doors. I had to wait a couple minutes for a entree to get done cooking and I got to watch these two go to work. VERY efficient. Walked in and placed my order The young man dishing out the food handed me a nice size orange chicken and a nice size of teriyaki chicken some locations like the camp on Orange chicken not this guy and he gave me more rice and I could ever eat Went to the cashier she was very friendly. Wife & I had lunch here on Sunday, the 28th. Restaurant was busy. The manager, Dennis Vu, took our order. Dennis was super friendly, professional, apologized for the (very short) delay in taking our order. We told him it was hardly a delay at all, and thanked him for being so professional and attentive. The female cashier was very helpful in helping us with getting our points from the Panda Express app. She also offered my wife and I free samples of some special drinks they were featuring. The food we had was hot, fresh, and delicious. After our meal, we enthusiastically thanked Dennis for his hospitality and professionalism, and praised him for his excellent customer service. We've never had a bad experience at this location. But because of manager Dennis going above and beyond for us, we wanted to recognize him and his staff in this review of his restaurant. The food here is excellent. The service needs to improve by a lot. The young gentleman who took my order was good but when it was passed down for the teriyaki to be cut the lady who handled it took her time, incorrectly charged me. She's the one who cut the teriyaki chicken but forgot to charge? How does that make sense? She took her time that the line extended to near the entrance! I'm only commenting on the new vegan option. The beyond orange chicken is amazing! My hubby and I really enjoyed the Beyond Orange Chicken and Chow Mein which are vegan friendly. I hope this is a permanent menu item because it's sooo good. I haven't been to Panda Express for over 7 years, since before going vegan. It's nice to have a local vegan friendly option for one of my former favorite dishes! I hope they bring on more vegan friendly options. read more

I went to this panda and ordered white rice with orange chicken. When she was putting in the orange chicken I noticed she put fried rice in my plate not white rice. I'm not much of a Karen however yall only have three side options. White rice, fried rice and chow mein. Then when I told the young lady that she did it wrong she gave me a dirty look. Then proceeded to only scoop out a portion of the fried rice. What if I was allergic to soy sauce? What if I was allergic to some of the certain vegetables? She then placed the white rice on top of the fried rice. In my head I'm thinking oh she'll replace the plate especially since youre a food restaurant. But no she didn't. The staff is very friendly. Most of the tables were dirty, we had to find the least dirty table to sit at. I was so excited because I actually got more than 3 pieces of meat in each scoop. Then I started eating only to find a hair in my green bean chicken. I asked for a replacement plate. They were very nice about it, but this time I got pretty much 98% veggies, barely any meat. I came to this restaurant after having a negative situation with another eating establishment earlier this evening where the food was a mess...I felt defeated and sad along with being really hungry and decided to try my luck at this restaurant...boy am I glad I did! I think people expect more from a fast food Chinese place than they promise. I've eaten at this place several times. I find the staff to be very friendly and helpful. On two occasions I've had to wait for an item to be cooked, they gave me a free soft drink for my inconvenience. The items were in the container, but not fresh. Very good service. The food has always been tasty, the facility very clean and the service great. Update. I have been here several times since the review. It is still the same. Only what strikes me is the staff are consistently friendly and very service oriented. I really feel good about going here. The Franchisee and Management should be very proud of the staff. read more

It was just after 7pm on a Sunday and we were heading home from an unsuccessful trip to the local casinos. We were still an hour and a half from home and wanted to grab a quick bite and find a clean restroom. We thought it would be fastest to find a McDonald's and do both. But, the two we found both had already locked their dining rooms...7pm on a Sunday... So on our way back towards the freeway, we saw this Panda Express and a line of people inside. We stopped and low and behold, the dining area was open. We stood in line (with about 5 parties in front of us) and waited to order. They had a Subway style service, you approach the counter and tell them what you want and they pack it for you. It was pretty quick given that people have to decide between about a dozen different items. You first have to decide if you want a one item, two item or three item container. Then, do you want greens, or rice, or low mien? You next pick your main food item, or items and then they walk you to the cash register. Extras like egg rolls and drinks are placed along the way. Our server was extremely friendly and had a heavy hand when it came to serving sizes. Both of our orders were overflowing with food and it was hot and tasty. We ate in the dining room which was a bit cold for both of us. They must have either had the AC on high or the heater wasn't working as it was cold outside. They also have two unisex bathroom which were clean and ready for use. So it is now on our list of places to possibly stop on the way home, whether or not we happen to win. I'm so completely tired of bad service being blamed on being "SHORT STAFFED" I have been to this restaurant three times walking out all three times! 1st was at about 8 pm with almost no choices left being told sorry? We are short staffed! 2nd plenty of selection to have dining room closed due to being short staffed? 3 rd was to get behind a very large order 10 plates! There was one guy filling the order with 4 employees wondering around including the female manager! I stood there almost in amazement for 10 minutes I timed it. I was never acknowledged and nobody was helping the one working guy! He should be asking for help? The most important part was a manager who values her time more than mine? But when I asked to speak to the manager the young guy that was working completely copped an attitude! I was about to complain to the manager that he was the only one working as a compliment but then he messed that up? The manager was so full of apologizing and mentioned being short staffed? But, what she is missing is doing what management should be doing? Managing the restaurant! That includes making sure all of the employees are helping and being involved! Moral of the story! Manager training? Pay the manager to manage, not just unlock and lock the door? read more

Worst Panda Express that I have ever visited. The place was so filthy that it looked like a million people ran their hands down the glass door and no one ever cleaned it. (And that is during COVID!)
