TERRIBLE. We were seated after waiting 10 minutes, and waited another 15 to get drinks and to be served. The restraunt wasn't busy enough to not be served sooner, in my opinion. (I have worked as a waitress for 5 years and I understand everyone has their days but this was unacceptable..) My husband ordered the steak and eggs with pancakes on the side. His steak came out ice cold and never received his pancakes. I ordered French toast and medium eggs with a sauce of bacon and sausage. I would not recommend this Denny's to anyone. We have been here twice and both times have been horrible experiences. The customer service is horrible. I ordered coffee and got one cup before the food came out because I didn't see the waiter to get another one. This happened both times. The first and second time ALL the food came out cold. The eggs were over cooked. The goldfish were stale. The potatoes and French fries tasted way too old. This last time was the last straw. I put my sausage in my mouth and felt something grainy. I pull out a curly black here. After sending it back disgusted I looked in the kitchen and none of them were wearing hairnets and one of the guys was even scratching his beard. Disgusting. read more

Denny's is Denny's. The only thing that separates each store is the service and how they prepare the various "Denny's staples". That being said I was there on a quiet Tuesday night and there were exactly 6 other people in the section I was in, 3 of which had food when we arrived. There were quite a few people working though. I waited 10 mins after ordering drinks to receive them. 2 of the 3 meals ordered were wrong. One had a condiment I asked to be left off,the other was a COMPLETELY different entree than the one ordered. Server was apologetic but come on! When the staff outnumber the customers and major mistakes and crazy wait times are (evidently) routine, something should change. read more

As far as Denny's go, this one is the best it gets. Chefs and staff are always quick and it's always been clean when we're there, including in the bathrooms. Recently what I had wanted was sold out, so I ordered something similar but did not like it. The manager let us order something else instead, which I thought was so nice. read more

This was my first time eating at this Denny's. I will not be back. The food and service were mediocre. First off, there was no hostess when my dad and I arrived. The place was not busy maybe like 4 tables and like 4 waitresses standing around. A waitress halfway across the room yelled, "you can sit here", while pointing to an empty table. The same waitress, ended up being our waitress, she took our drink order promptly and brought them back promptly. I ordered a lemonade and dad had coffee. The lemonade was DISGUSTING. I could not drink it. The machine needs a really good scrubbing. The coffee was fine. She took our order a few minutes later. We ordered a make your own grand slam and a hearty grand slam. The make your own grand slam was bland. It was barely warm when it got to the table and the bacon was soggy. The hashbrowns were bland, absolutely no flavor to them. The hearty slam was the same. The pancakes, which were included, did not show up until about 5 to 10 minutes after the other food. The reason was because the kitchen made the wrong ones and our waitress told them so. They had a very loud arguement over it, which i could hear from where i was sitting. Our waitress never came back to refill drinks or to make sure everything was okay. She was too busy having a full conversation to the couple directly behind us and to the other ladies working. Needless to say i will never be back to this location. read more

This place has its ups and downs. Late morning today was definitely one of its downs. Waitress was great but food was just ok. Scrambled eggs were overcooked and dry. Hashbrowns tasted burnt. Bacon was limp. Pancakes and sausage were very good. Worst of the visit was the manager who was also working the hostess/checkout desk. I think I heard someone call her Kim but she had no nametag on. Problems with her started right after we walked in the door and she was yelling across the restaurant at the staff threatening to start sending people home. She seemed to be in a nasty mood the whole time we were there. Berating employees in front of customers and talking down about the staff directly to customers. When I was ready to leave, I had to stand in line at the checkout because she was too busy to check us out. I did not see any behavior by the waitstaff that warranted her treatment of them. This was a newer manager has I had not seen her on previous visits. It seems to me Denny's could do a better job training their management staff as I've had issues with the management behavior disrupting my dining experience previously with 2 other managers that are now gone. From what I could tell while we were there, the waitstaff seemed to be working hard and very attentive to their customers. read more

This place is AWFUL!!!! I've only been twice & I'll never go back. First time, we had a fairly large group (11 people) we went when is wasn't busy and we somehow got a new server. Who puts a new server all alone with a big party. We got each of our orders at different times (the children being last). We had a bunch of the orders get wrong too, which is weird because it took them FOREVER to give us our order. Second time (same size party & around the same time) the server was better but it took forever to get our order, my husband found a hair in his food, & again wrong order were given out, cold food. Went for breakfast it was clean staff was cheerful especially the mgr. Service was prompt and food was good the best Dennys in the Metro East by far. Was a lot better than the Cracker Barrel I had last week. read more

The food was soaked in grease. My daughters pancakes were undercooked. She found a hair on her sausages , and the bread was as hard as a rock and I had to order new ones which still weren't what I expected. The wife and I frequent the place maybe once a month or so. Most times it is a good experience. I do have an issue on how they cook "eggs over easy". Over easy, to me means cooked on both sides without breaking the yoke. When I order at Denny's the eggs come cooked on one side and runny. The manager says that's the way "over easy" is cooked. I disagree! I al.so don't order eggs that way any more at Denny's. One other incident was an O'Fallon fire fighter having breakfast with co workers and berating the current President because of his skin color. At the very least the fireman was in poor taste but he was speaking load enough that he was heard across the room quite clearly. I don't need that while I'm dining. I know that some Denny's employees hear him. If he has to talk that way he should keep it in the firehouse or his own house. I also think the manager should have intervened. read more

Have gone twice and both times we've had to involve managers to get a plate correct. The second occasion we had to send a plate back due to it having sausage despite being ordered without and it came back with most, but not all of the sausage picked out, probably by hand. My son and I usually go there at night after work. Service was good and food likewise but when we turned around one of the busboys was bent over collecting dishes and about 7 inches of his underwear was hanging out because his pants weren't pulled up. Makes me not want to go back. read more

Not bad, not great. It's Dennys. I like the Tuesday kids eat free, otherwise I really wouldn't have a reason to go. They do have healthy options and unhealthy options. It's a last resort type place to go when you can't think of what you want to eat, and then spend more time looking over the menu trying to decide what you still want to eat...burger, or steak, or salad, or pancakes.... read more

This morning we decided to try Denny's out since it had been a long while, and we were pleasantly surprised. We walked right in after finding a great parking spot, and were seated in seconds. The hostess was very polite, and our server was fantastic. I didn't get her name, sorry.. We ordered our food, and it was brought out very quick! The food was delicious, and we left satisfied. We don't go out to breakfast joints often, but I will definitely come again if I get the craving. read more
