Bright, friendly, and fun- great burgers too! My kiddo and I came in tonight for dinner and a milkshake. We were greeted immediately by the hostess to take our order, and my daughter liked that she was able to build her own burger from the menu and order it easily on her own (while the hostess patiently waited and helped her out). My daughter got a cheeseburger with bacon, while I got one of the special burgers- the Taco Burger, with seasoning in the patty and special sauce. It was all really good! My daughter wasn't a big fan of the seasoning on the fries (I think she prefers typical fast food), but I thought they were great. Also- the soft drink machine dispenses Excel/Ski products. Fun local touch! Service was fast and friendly. They came out to our table with our order fairly quickly, and they came back around a second time to see if we needed anything. I was in town for work from DC and one my employees raved about Hi Pointe. He told me they have the best burgers in town. I love trying new places when out of town so we drove over. Let me tell you, they did not disappoint. After combing through the menu and taking recommendations from the cashier I settled on the double burger with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and bacon. I also added a side of fries. They bring the order to your table and let me tell you, the presentation was great and the taste of the burger was even better. Amazing flavor, delicious bacon, overall great burger. Finger licking good. The fries were just as good. The food was so good I went back and ordered a turkey club. The delicious bread made the club to me. I wasn't a huge fan of the warmed turkey and cheese but the sandwich was still good nonetheless. If I'm back in O'Fallen, Hi Pointe is a must stop for me. This is my first time ever seeing one of these places, and my first visit inside. It's like a Five Guys but way better! There's a much more extensive menu, on top of providing great burgers, shakes, fries, and (for those that prefer turkey burgers) the absolute BEST turkey burgers! The service is great, very professional, and very fast from order to presentation of the food. They don't just slop things together, the food looks just like the photos advertised on the menu. The diner is very spacious and clean. I love openness of window views. This could be a very nice hang out/kick back spot for friends and family, or just your next favorite burger spot if you've never been. I highly recommend giving this place a try! read more

We just went to this restaurant for lunch for the first time. My Hubby had a double cheeseburger with all the fixings and fries. The cheeseburger was delicious! Here's a local joint that has all the makings of being a family tradition; fun atmosphere, lively and friendly staff, great location. But, and it's a big one, their food is overpriced and very sub-par. I had the Frisco Melt ($9.50) which while an ample portion was a grease and salt bomb. I had to pay 75 cents for 2 cents worth of grilled onions to boot. As well, it didn't come with anything else, so I added Fries and a soda for another $4.50. Ouch. My wife got the chicken sandwich for $9.50. See the picture I posted and judge for yourself. It was pitiful. Aside from being paper thin, it was dry and nothing else came with it. The manager came around asking how things were, and I pointed out the chicken sandwich. He said he'd look into it, but it was clearly lip service and we never saw him again. The manager might have gotten us back if he made amends, but nope. So, we won't be back. It's a shame as they opened with such fanfare, and the town needs someplace like this. read more

I have been to this O'Fallon location a few times and it is consistently good. It's a little pricey for "just" a burger, so I tend to get the specials. They're different and unique and they are a little expensive too, but they are worth it because it is a daily special and something you can't get anywhere else. Sides are a separate cost so you can easily go here and spend way too much money on a burger and fries. I do like their boozy shakes too, expensive but once again, it's not something you can get anywhere. read more

Ok let's get Hi. Probably one of my favorite burger joints I've been to anywhere. The burgers/ specials are always slightly over the top. I love the names they give them. My only complaint is I can hardly finish the whole meal anytime I go. The staff rock. Like I don't know how the interview process goes but the manager must tell them to just be cool. Whatever it works. There's always good music playing and it's probably a decibel or two too hi (see what I did there?). First, I have been to many of the hi point locations, and even take my family when they're in town to visit. Mccausland location is our preferred location. We were so excited to get a location on this side of the river. Sadly, we have given this location many opportunities to change our mind about our initial visit in which I messaged the business and she promised to refund me for over charging and missing items. That never happened. Today we received 2 orders of burned chicken nuggets for my kids. I took a bite and there was nearly no chicken meat left, just fried to death. Another kids burger was also extremely over cooked. My burger was well done too, but I could've tolerated it if they had put the sauce or any sauce on it that I ordered on the app. Just super bummed because we generally had good experience until this location. Hopefully they can get it together, but we will definitely be taking a break from paying such a steep price for sad quality items. read more

Stopped at this little diner on our way through St Louis. It's a nice clean place with super friendly team members. They greet you and actually do a little chant while cooking. It's a nice refreshing change to the normal fast food chain. I ordered the Chicago dog and the sweet potato tots. I'm not gonna lie, that Chicago dog was different than any other one I've had...and I'm legitimately a fan of a great hot dog. The difference is the bun is lightly toasted, yet still soft, the onions are nicely grilled and the pickle is fried. Yes, fried! The sweet potato tots were really, really good. But, the size was pretty small. Jacob got the Cobb Salad...exactly, who does that at a diner? Don't worry I gave him a goofy look of disbelief. It was massive. There was a ton of fried chicken on it (we both tasted before the pic). The chicken was really tender and juicy. The whole thing was fresh and it offered a change from the same old ranch by coming with Greek goddess. The only thing was the chicken was a tad salty for both our liking. They also don't have the normal Coke or Pepsi branded products. They have a pretty cool selection of local and specialty sodas. I see you Hi Pointe. I am a HUGE fan of Hi-Point, so this was a very disappointing experience for me at this location. This was my first Hi-Point experience on the Illinois side of the river, and I was very disappointed. They completely forgot $14 worth of food from my online order. It was the special of the day that was sold out, I understand specials sell out, but they actually called me to tell me my order was ready to pick up, but didn't bother mentioning they couldn't make me that part of my meal, took my money, handed me a bag knowing my order wasn't actually ready or fully inside that bag and let me leave. I understand these things happen when places get busy...but this place was not busy at the time. We were dealing with some family at the local hospital down the road and couldn't really wait around for them to "make me something else," unfortunately, either. They weren't even able to give me a refund right then and there until the "next business day." The women who helped to fix the situation were helpful as much as they could be, but this location won't be on my list of "must come back soon!" places anytime soon. I got the Salmon BLT and it was VERY tasty. Hubs had the Grilled Chicken sandwich with buffalo sauce and it was good also. The fries were delectable and I love that they serve a CIDER! SO, food GREAT. It doesn't have the ambiance that the old one in St. Louis does, and they've got the music cranked so loud, you can't even think straight, much less hold a conversation. The acoustics are not good. And they need more help walking around wiping tables and condiment bottles down. I also loved the atmosphere, very fun and friendly place and they have a patio which is great for good weather. I decided to try the Stoney HI-Sland which is a chilli dog and I tried there macaroni and cheese as well. It was sooo good. My boyfriend decided to build his own burger and they have a lot of add ons like mushrooms, jalapeño's, grilled onions. They have multiple cheese options to add to your burger and even add ons like fried eggs. He ordered a side of fries as well which were so good,crispy and seasoned to perfection. First walk in and greeted with "Dining in or Togo?" We advised dining in. We had never been before and really wasn't sure what to expect. The menu is on the wall as you walk in and ordering is done at the counter at the front. It took us a couple of minutes to figure out what we wanted as three ladies stared at us from the counter. When the lady took our order she wasn't rude but she wasn't friendly, either. It was, for lack of better words, blah. We picked our table and then went to the restroom. I noticed as we walked to the restroom the floor is very sticky. The floor in the bathroom was sticky, as well. The paper towel dispenser was broken. The soda machine had postit notes on it saying out of order and the other said root beer. The floor is what really got me. It makes me wonder 1 why a plain concrete floor and 2 how can it get this bad? I had the turkey club - actually was kind of bland for being smoked turkey and the herbed mayo did not taste any different to me than normal mayo. But the brussel sprouts..yumm!! Husband had the grilled chicken he says it was good and moist. And the fries were typical fries. Over all it was okay, but uninviting and I felt like we were interrupting their day by being there. Also, if you have wide hips the chairs are painful to sit in. If I get their food again it would be a to go situation. I would have been more comfortable eating in my car, honestly.
