This was a pleasant surprise of a coffee shop. The food was good with lots of special coffee flavors. The service is amazing and friendly. Plus for a special treat swing by on a Sunday and enjoy one of the best cafe singers ever! Upon entry, I was greeted by a very friendly barista, and I believe her name was Leticia (sorry if I'm wrong). She introduced herself, asked me my name and welcomed me. That was very impressive! I ordered a peppermint bark & oat milk iced latte and she started that while I continued to look over the menu. Music was playing oldies -- The Temptations, The Dells, etc., which was a chill vibe. I then ordered a half order of biscuits and gravy as I am always on the search for the best b's & g's. Latte was handed to me quickly at the counter and my food was brought to me within 2 mins of sitting down. The latte was quite sweet, I didn't taste much of the espresso, which isn't my preference. I really am kind of biased though as a former barista myself, ;) However, I know next time to remember to ask for less syrup, if I order again. The b's & g's are very fresh -- the biscuits were warm and tender; the gravy is more of a brown gravy and not your classic white gravy. It was thick, with chunks of sausage, flavorful, with herbs on top. It was not that salty which I noticed right away as I am very particular about that. I appreciated that a lot! I don't think I would order these again, solely based on liking white country gravy better. But very flavorful and for someone else, worth a try! And they were served in a Togo container which is cool, in case I wanted to take it with me. The cafe itself is immaculately clean & that included the beautifully wallpapered bathroom. The tables are all clean and they all have pretty little real mums in cups, I love that simple touch - so cozy. One walls is covered with photography pieces for sale and as I photographer, I love to see the support for us and our work! Definitely super cool. As a NYC native, this cafe felt more urban-esque, while sitting in downtown small town Belleville and really such an, "at home" type vibe -- really though, shout out to the barista who really stands out in treating you like family. They live up to their sign, inside, "Welcome to the family." That's valuable! Overall, I'm super impressed with the service and I'll definitely come back to try another drink and more food. Really enthusiastically welcoming service. I enjoyed my visit in part because the person who helped me seem to enjoy her job and talking to people. My sandwich was good, but maybe a little too much, with too many flavors going on. I got the double pig with bacon, ham, cheese, apple butter, and some kind of mayo. I think it was the apple butter that pushed it over the top. Also, pro tip: hold the lettuce. Mine was tragically wilted from the heat of the sandwich. My latte was OK. I don't really like a very sugary drink. This is my fault, I should have asked. But again, the service very much made up for any drink issues. It wasn't bad, just a little too sweet for me. I would come back and try something different. I also recommend this place for anyone looking for a nice place to stop for a cup of coffee or a snack. read more

I'm downgrading from 2 to 1 star. This place is ridiculously bad. Went in today wanting a quick salad. They have 2 salads, both priced at $11.25. For comparison, I can get a dinner sized, super fresh, delicious salad at Dewey's Pizza for like $11.50 and it's ready in a few minutes. We waited 45 minutes for our food because only one person was working and she was so slow. When we went up to get our food, the salad consisted of: 1. 'Mixed Greens', I.e., a handful of limp romaine (literally, a handful) 2. 3 cherry tomatoes 3. 1 small chunk of cucumber 4. A couple of raisins 5. A bunch of stale croutons 6. Onions, which I asked them to leave off. 7. House dressing, which was vaguely sweet with no other flavor. 8. Maybe a single slice of deli turkey. The $11.25 salad filled less than half of a regular sized to go bowl. It was limp, tasteless, and I honestly can't believe they serve that slop. If I had been paying, I wouldn't have waited for my food and absolutely would have demanded a refund when I saw what a ripoff it is. Oh, and fyi, if you get the biscuits and gravy, the gravy they serve comes in a gallon can (mmmm, yummy) and the biscuits come in a shrink wrapped flat box. Seriously some high quality stuff, delivered right inside the front door. They still don't have proper ventilation and the place reeks. I will never go here again and will celebrate when they close. read more

This time I went for their biscuits and gravy. With a jelly filled donut. Had their hot honeybee latte, so good! Their staff is friendly and helpful. They weren't too busy. Edit: my friends who remained inside waited 50 minutes for their food and his sandwich had wax paper in it. Awful place, never coming back. Edit 2: mine had wax paper as well. I told the owner and she instantly said no you didn't get wax paper in it. She asked for my receipt and I told her I didn't get one. Very bad and scary experience here. I found a plastic piece that I still would assume is a bottle cap top for sauces in the middle of my breakfast sandwich. I took it to go without opening it up - which I will never do again anywhere after what happened. I only knew once I bit down the half eaten sandwich at home. I had called and reached the girl responsible for our order. I let her know what I found, and fairly quickly, she said, "I don't have any broken caps on my bottles." Which was odd because I remember having trouble describing what the plastic looked like. I barely mentioned it being a bottle cap. I went back in, and admittedly I was emotionally fragile due to something else. I tried to remain calm at first, but the girl just kept showing me a rather full bottle of sauce with an intact cap. I got to a point where I demanded the refund and was visibly upset. She gave it to me, but told me my aggression was threatening when her inconsideration and thoughtlessness could have cost me my life - had I not realized what I was chewing on earlier in the sandwich. When I left a Google review, the owner stood by their worker, and they said they didn't know where I got the plastic, but I scored a "free meal today." That is atrocious and disturbing behavior from local ownership. Check your dumpster and trash before accusing me of trying to get a free ride... jesus. And check your video too. If you don't have audio, I do. I am seeking professional guidance after their response, but wanted to come here to share a more detailed review where it cannot be deleted right away. read more

This is a great little place right outside the courthouse in Belleville. I have been here twice and there was at least a couple weeks in between each visit. The cashier remembered my name before I checked in, very impressive! I had the strawberry mocha green tea latte on my first visit and it was so delicious! The second time I tried the pumpkin spice green tea latte which was equally delicious (I should have gotten that in a large). Such a warm welcome we received when we walked in this morning. They told us that they have been open for 9 weeks and are always adding things to the menu. Many made to order coffee options. Woods bakery pastries plus in house homemade goodies. I got the vegetable frittata and my friend had the bacon, egg and cheese on ciabatta. The manager even brought out a secret sirachi marmalade for us to add to our items. The frittata was full of mushrooms, spinach and peppers. My friend loved her sandwich as well.
