Food is good, reasonable price. The pastrami is absolutely legit. Not much more needs to be said.

3.5 stars I'd say. It was okay. Personally I'm too picky for this place. Didn't get to choose a bread which first was very odd considering it's a deli. I got the #2 with no pickles and toasted. They toasted it after everything was on it making the tomatoes and lettuce hot which threw me off. I also got cookies and while they were okay, they were pretty dry. However, the size was nice. If you like cold sandwiches on white bread this place is most likely for you. The drive through is a plus as well for people on a time crunch. The ladies there were very polite. Definitely worth a try and with prices comparable to larger chains, why not? Star of the show was definitely the bread. It's definitely worth a try it may become a lunch spot It's a good place for a quick sandwich and their friendly. Was this the place that used to be on the plaza on the west end ? If so their phillys are okay just be sure to ask for Mayo I tend to forget as most places use it for default even if it's not on the menu but it's a good sandwich. I get the pulled pork all the time now. She did let slip it comes from out of the walk in Which no points against cAuse as to be expected but I just think she should've closed the window before she said it as it might be off putting to some but it is good ! First I will state I am not much of a deli sandwich guy. Nothing against them just not my thing. We have heard a bunch about this place from friends and it was in the way so we have it a shot. I would say interior is as I would expect. Basic deli. Clean tables, floor etc. Menu is also broad enough to suit most with all the classics. Everyone in my party was pleased. They advertise bread from the hill and I would agree it was fresh and soft. My wife had the Italian and son had the BLT. Nothing is left of either! Other kids got chili and it was devours as well. I went simple with house salad and it was good. Crisp lettuce, right amount of cheese and dressing. Healthy portion of chicken as well which was moist and flavorful. Meal finalized with the ice cream another big hit with the kids. All in all good experience. if nearby and craving a sandwich or soup it is worth a visit! read more

I'd like to compare this place to my favorite sandwich place on the west coast. Every sandwich I've had has been great!

I would say the food is pretty good. I had the hot pastrami sandwich, decent size and good flavor. However, I think the price was too high for what we got. It was $6.49, thought it should be about $2 less. But, my opinion only. My wife enjoyed her BBQ chicken sandwich. Straight forward motif, if a little plain on the inside. Overall, ok food but nothing superb and a little more pricey than I would have liked for what you get, although it does not appear to be a chain. read more

One of the worst sandwiches I have ever purchased. Jimmy Johns, Jersey Mike's, and Even Subway are waaaay better. I could make a better sandwich with my hands tied behind my back at home. Barely put ingredients in their sandwiches and they are not inexpensive. I had high hopes for this place since non-chain sandwich places are hard to find and they deliver. Not good at all. Pastrami sandwich was the worst I've had. Meat was about a quarter gristle, dry with very little flavor, and not a lot of it. Clearly microwaved and stuck on some barely toasted bland rye. Piles of mustard and a flavorless bit of cheese. Cole slaw tasted like something from Gordon Food Service. Ground up in a food processor with sickeningly sweet dressing. Hubby had a Reuben (on toast for some reason). He reported that the sauerkraut was ok and the thousand island flavorless. The potato salad was inoffensive. About the quality you'd get from the grocery store. I really feel for restaurants right now but can't justify going back. read more

Uncle Nick's is a small business for sure and the the guy inside was really nice and seemed passionate about what he does. The bread of any sandwich is the make it break... and they have good bread. I got an Italian while my wife got a meatball. I personally think the Italian was better. But they were both good. Good size and fair price. The only reason a did 4 and not 5 stars was because of the facility. Just general needs some TLC. You can tell it used to be an old Subway store at one point and has been left go. As a bonus, they do have a drive thru, I'll probably just use that next time. But I will go back when I'm craving a sub. read more

I love every sandwich I've tried from Uncle Nick's Deli. The chicken salad sandwich is my favorite. But today I tried their cream of potato w/ bacon soup. OH MY GOODNESS! Best soup ever!!!! Just the right amount of potatoes, and huge chunks of bacon. I would go back just for the soup. Everyone there is always very polite and know what they are doing. Stopped in Uncle Nick's Deli for lunch. I had the pastrami and the hubs had the veggie. The veggie was your typical veggie sandwich but on extra good bread from The Hill. My pastrami was delicious. The bread could have been toasted a bit more but the pastrami had great flavor. Nothing better than a hot pastrami sandwich. Be had pastrami all across the country. Uncle Nicks doesn't compete with the east coast but it's certainly my pick for a tasty pastrami here in the Midwest and better than the places I've tried in St. Louis. read more

BBQ pulled pork sandwich was really good and made with Sweet Baby Ray's. Hot ham and cheese is very good my son ate only half of a full sandwich. Chicken gumbo that's good a hair spicy. We had a wonderful experience here. We were looking for a place to get sandwiches for an evening flight. Being from out of town, we searched out Yelp and were happy to see a highly rated place nearby. They took my specific orders over the phone and had everything nearly completed, wrapped and labeled by the time we got there. They even gave us some ice to keep things cool. I can't figure out how this place stays in business. It's always empty and the food is basic, plus they have pretty limited hours. They constantly are putting huge banners outside advertising something and they just scream CHEAP. Then, they leave them up as clutter forever or until the wind takes them down I guess. I've had both hot and cold sandwiches here. They have a tendency to over sauce if you have a sandwich with sauce and the cold ones, well they taste like I could have made them at home. Nothing to write home about here. But if when I go I'm the only one there, I'm still stumped how they stay in business. read more

Great little deli with kind and cordial service, fresh bread and meats. For the price of two sandwiches, 2 bags of chips and two beverages, you can get two artery blocking meals at a fast food dump. The food is very fresh and far more palatable than the garbage you pick up at chain sammich shops. It reminded me of having a hero with my grandfather back in Jersey. Ordered #4 roast beef & smoked turkey on marbled rye. Roast beef was not lean. A bit pricey for what you received they had no heart smart items. Only one low dressing. Basic variety of condiments. Person who waited on me at the register was very friendly and tried to be helpful. No specials or least special board was partially erased so couldn't understand. Place was clean. read more
