Stopped in on our Sunday Harley ride and we were impressed with the cleanliness and prompt service upon initial review! I had the Strongarm CrossFit omelet; it was delicious, however, there were so many veggies that I couldn't eat it all!!! Hubby chose the GM Slam; we shared the huge fluffy pancakes, pork sausage tasted like chicken or turkey. Not true pork sausage! He was given an abundant supply of hash browns. What a small town gem, this place stays busy for a reason! Good Morning Cafe is the best whether you are stopping in for a quick coffee and pastry on a busy morning or if you are able to dine in! They are generous with their portions and have something to satisfy everyone. We love the fact that they have seasonal drink choices, they even offer a punch card program for each coffee visit! The restaurant is extremely clean and orderly with friendly staff. I ordered the paperboy's breakfast which comes with two eggs, hash browns or fried potatoes and your choice of toast. I went with the fried potatoes and wheat toast. My order came out fast which was nice. The first thing I noticed was the larger quantity of eggs than what I usually receive. The eggs were very warm and cooked perfectly. The fried potatoes were cooked evenly on all sides. The bottle of ketchup that I used on the potatoes said it was their house blend and it was good. The wheat toast was cooked just right, not under or over toasted. There was a short wait when I arrived so I decided to sit at the rail along the windows which was comfortable. I had the sweetest server who kept checking on me. This is a simple diner that delivers good food and good service. read more

Located in a small shipping center at the western end of town, it's easy to find. Just turn in between the Dollar General and Lee's Hardware. There is plenty of parking, with spaces adjacent to the building as well as across a traffic lane. There are several handicapped spaces at the ends of the rows as well as the middle. There are two other restaurants plus businesses in the strip mall, so it can get quite busy at certain times. Walking in, the interior is bright and cheery. The counter for coffee is on the left, with about 15 tables for diners, ranging from counter seats along the window to six person tables. Specials were listed on the far wall. The coffee menu above counter on the left. We were there during the week and they were reasonably busy. Still, we were greeted quickly and our order taken right away. Our food arrived in about 10 minutes. The good morning skillet had a good amount of gravy over the one biscuit, one scrambled egg, and fried potatoes. All items were cooked properly and tasted good. I did add pepper to the gravy, but that is a personal preference. This is a bright and pleasant breakfast place with quick and friendly service as well as a wide-ranging menu. What an amazing gem in Millstadt! We had heard the food was good, and decided to try it out today. The food was delicious and the portions were generous! I had one of their specials which was an English muffin warmed in maple butter with egg (super fluffy) and bacon. It was wonderful. The maple butter English muffin added a nice twist. I had the fried potatoes which were perfectly crispy on the outside with a soft interior! My family kept stealing them they were so good! My turtle latte was a yummy addition to my meal! My husband's meat lovers omelette covered half his plate and his hash browns covered the other half. (Like I said, very generous portions!) He said his omelette was full of meat and cheese, and he left stuffed!! Rounding out our meal was my son's Belgian waffle which he touted as, "the best waffle I have ever had!" He let me have a small bite, and I have to agree with him! Overall, our dining experience was wonderful. We went close to lunch time and saw some of the food coming out for lunch. Guess what? We can't wait to go back for lunch! Everything they brought out looked equally delicious! Our waitress, Faith, was very attentive and kind, offering suggestions if we needed. Nice place in the outskirts of STL. This is a big local hangout where everyone knows your name. As an outsider, I was well received. The sausage gravy was well executed using fresh sausage and a milk gravy as opposed to the typical premixed product that is served elsewhere. read more

A bit of a wait, (the young woman hosting and clearing tables did not look happy to be there) but TOTALLY worth it? Our server, Faith, was prompt and pleasantly answered our questions. She made great suggestions and my husband and I both had the omelette with chorizo, peppers and cheese. The chorizo was SO good-almost crispy and not so greasy as some I have had. The omelettes were great; we love the chunky fried potatoes. I love your iced tea, my my dh said the coffee was remarkably good. Your filtered water truly makes a difference! We visited from out of town and found this charming restaurant to be such a gem in the local area! Not only was the coffee amazing, but the food was extremely delicious. But best of all, was the warm welcome we received from Chelsea, her sister, and rest of the great staff members. We even noticed how well the staff take care of each other while working. Our waitress frequently checked on us and everyone was very personable-- even a cook came out from the back kitchen to give a treat to our kids. We would love to come back next time we are in town!
