I really enjoy the food at Clara B's! I found it first when I used Door Dash once and I loved the brisket breakfast burrito that I ordered. A mix of chunks of lean and marbled brisket. The order was packaged with care and I decided I'd have to eat in person if it was so good via delivery. Clara B's is housed inside of LongStory coffee just outside downtown Belleville. I've been there for coffee a few times and like the atmosphere there. I've now been to have breakfast a few times. If you go there on a weekend, there is a line to order food by 9am and the tables fill up but food comes out in a reasonable timeframe and people clear out as more come in. You pick up a menu and wait in line and order at the register. Not much wait time. Employees are nice. The smaller menu is full of hearty comforts. I love that their choices for breakfast proteins include a fried chicken breast and brisket. Their bacon is thick and delicious, the kind that melts in your mouth. The biscuits are the southern homemade style that are thick and crumbly, not sweet. I've saved one once to make a perfect strawberry shortcake for two. The duck fat gravy is good, a little watery, but it absorbs well into the biscuits. The breakfast potato fries look amazing and one day I'll try the pancakes. I'm low carbing it right now and I like that I can go in and order eggs and a protein and grab an iced coffee and read. A hidden gem in Belleville has been found! I saw a Tik Tok video showcasing Clara B's and had to check it out for our Saturday morning meal. When we pulled in, I was excited to see it housed in the old railroad depot. I have always wanted to check out the interior. We were welcomed by the amazing staff and they took our order at the register. We ordered two delicious Pumpkin Spice Chai's. So, so good! Love the concept here, almost like a mini food court. Clara Bs shares a space with Longstory Coffee, so it's a good set-up to patronize both. It's a walk-up order process, so grab the menu from the window closest to the order counter and then place your order, get a number and have a seat. They bring the order to you, so feel free to zone out in your conversation, phone or book. Seeing all the orders of the Smothered Chicken Biscuit come out, I was compelled to follow suit. This is a huge meal! 1 whole Biscuit and potatoes topped with a crispy chicken thigh/breast, topped with sausage gravy, topped with 2 eggs (I went scrambled). I tasted all the components individually and together. Everything was cooked well, the Biscuit, potatoes and eggs were my favorite on the dish. The chicken and gravy, while enjoyable, needed a bit more salt. As a whole a whole bite it's great! No way could I finish this! Not good. So first of all, you should know the deal. You wait to talk to someone and they tell you to take a menu and sit down. When you're ready you go to their booth and order. They honestly don't seem to know what's going on. So we got out menus, and sat down. About 1:15 my husband went up to order, and was told the kitchen was closing so they'd have to put our food out in a box. So, with avocado toast at over 17$ I would think they might be slightly flexible. By the way, they say online they close at 2, so what?? My husband asked could we just get a couple plates and we'd put our own food on it? Nope, rules is rules. (By the way, there were five other tables, one just got their food. We ordered a very simple item as well. At that point we left. With their high prices, lack of consistency and rudeness, I didn't get a chance to try the food. I have been to Clara B's two times already -- back to back days. It's a bit of a drive but it is so worth it! For our first visit we ordered the quiche of the day with a side salad, the country breakfast and the breakfast sandwich. Everything was incredible! We ordered two of their cocktails and they were the perfect mix of refreshing and they had a nice kick. This was a great stop before we heat up the flea market. On our second trip, I ordered pick up and got their breakfast tacos and breakfast burrito. Sadly,I have no pictures because we devoured them. I got a crispy chicken sandwich which was just subpar due to lack of sauce. I feel like there was just a little bit of sauce and the chicken was just okay. Non-alcoholic drinks were not good for us, we had tea and lemon limeade and both were super sweet and the limeade was very sour. We noticed the food truck parked outside Longstory Coffee and thought it would be a good place to try. We were quite pleased to see they also had a kitchen inside Longstory. Their ordering window is in the right rear of the building, with a menu station to the rear at a small bar. We decided on our order and were greeted as we walked up to the window. After paying we were given a number for our table and went to find a seat. There is an assortment of tables, seats along a bar at the outside wall, and a lounge of comfy couches and chairs. Although the space is shared with Longstory, there is seating for about 50 so we were easily able to find seats. Our order took only about ten minutes to arrive. The biscuit and duck fat gravy was quite good. The biscuit is more bready and easily stands up to the gravy. There was enough sausage to know it was supposed to be sausage gravy. The egg was cooked as ordered. I would have liked a bit more gravy on the biscuit, but that is more a personal preference. I was a bit concerned the one biscuit would not be enough to fill me up, but it was very filling and I was certainly satisfied. The breakfast sandwich was very good. The perfectly cooked burger was at least as large as the bun and over a half inch thick. The added egg made for a very delicious meal. Make sure you have extra napkins on hand as the burger is very juicy without falling apart. We were more than pleased with our food and look forward to trying additional menu items the next time we are in town. read more

I've been here several times. This is hands-down, my favorite food spot EVER. They recently moved to a new spot and share it with 'Long Story Coffee' . This time around I got the brisket tacos. Flavorful brisket amazing additions as well. I've also had the peach cobbler, spicy honey chicken biscuit, breakfast tacos, breakfast burritos, Fruit cup (Fresh Fruit)... I have no complaints , This is my go-to spot. It's in downtown Belleville so it's walking distance. The wait isn't bad at all, even when they're slammed. Nice calm café type of setting. Placed order online at 8:00am for an 8:45am pick up. When I arrived I was told the grits "were not ready yet" and it "may take another 15 minutes for them to be ready". So by the time the grits are ready my other items that were already bagged and ready including eggs over easy will be cold, no phone call to me stating this.
