We decided to give Drake's to a try this evening. It looks like a sports bar with TVs everywhere. A very active restaurant for everyone. A very good menu with many selections. I ordered the teriyaki bowl. It was outstanding! My husband ordered cheeseburger with fries also very good. We ordered two iced cheese. Staff came to refill mine tea. I was very happy that we went to this restaurant this evening with my husband, and I know we will return to enjoy a nice meal. read more

My family met at Drakes in O'Fallon, IL meeting one of our family members that was in town at Scott Air Force Base. I like the environment of the restaurant. It gives a sports bar vibe with doors that open to the outside which is great! They have a great selection of beers on tap. The waitresses were friendly. I felt that the food took a little to long to come out and it was average. The burger was ok and fries were as cold as could be. I don't understand why restaurants think it is ok to serve old, cold fries. This is a pet peeve of mine. This restaurant has some nice items and could be very nice with better attention to the food. read more

Mixed bag. My salmon, broccoli, and sushi rice (with GF tamari) were excellent. The fish was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I felt it was a decent size portion considering it was $20. Clyde's sushi was good but kind of bland. He did like his bowl tho and would def order again. I want to give a shout out to our server Liz who was very helpful putting together my GF/DF meal. Thanks Liz! 030726 read more

Roses are red, Violets are blue In town for work, So what should I do? Luckily for me, I am staying next door to Drakes, so our group of hungry travelers walked over and were welcomed with a great atmosphere and some good food. The hardest choice was deciding what to try. I decided to go with the BBQ Burger and it was delicious. The Jalepeno BBQ sauce on it has a surprisingly smoky flavor. The Mac-n-cheese as a side, wasn't bad, but seemed like a traditional Krafts shells, so I'll pick something of different next time. read more

Took our family of 5 to a Sunday after game experience Here in O'Fallon. Both Front and rear dining rooms were moderately busy yet our server seemed overly stressed. Drink service (No alcohol) was reasonably swift. No coasters or napkins are provided for drinks and during our time the table was pooled in water from condensation on the drinks. This was simply annoying. No water was served or offered. Being first time dining experience it took longer for our group to make decisions on choices. This seemed to stress our server more than she appeared. Se was polite throughout. Appetizer was prompt and all liked the Fried Pickles. However when served no additional plates or napkins were provided. They appeared as we were finishing as we believe that someone overheard or comments. The food selections were disappointing. My hamburger was ordered with everything plus extra onions. I got no lettuce or tomatoes, the onions was simply a singe serving. Had I known all there burgers were Smash-burgers, I would have ordered chicken. The volume of ketchup and mustard was excessive and very messy. The fries were okay but I did not see what made them "Drakes" fries. Refills on drinks were offered and they were brought without removing the empty glasses. Just adding to the congestion and the additional water on the table surface. Unfortunately as the head of the table I was not brought my refill that was requested. We were offered drinks to go when we did leave. We had quesadillas and a selection of burgers. The waffle fried sweet potatoes fries were actually the high point or our dining experience. Three of the Five requested take out boxes. Overall grade by all was 50/50. It took what appeared to be longer than usual to get our bill. To be honest the value of the food vs. the level of service and the quality of the food seemed excessive. We spent $150 for supporting our local business. For the record we are not the type that shorts the staff when tipping unless there is something that is grossly egregious. We believe that this atmosphere was not the best for a casual family experience as it was suited more like a sports bar with heavy emphasis on the bars. We appreciate this business for supporting our local schools but we will take our family to more suitable and enjoyable surroundings in the future. read more

Really good food at Drakes. I ordered the salad with apples, chicken and bagel chips. Not remembering the dish name. It was delicious. Service was fine. Restaurant divided into two sections (three if you include both sides of the huge bar). We sat in a booth with raised, wooden seats. Not the most comfortable seats. read more

Pretty good food and the inside is quite nice, the wait time just leaves a little to be desired as I've always had an excessively long wait time every time I've gone there. read more

This was okay. The service was not great - my water was empty for over half the meal. It took awhile to take our order and we didn't have time by the time the apps came out to eat them because our main dishes came out 5 minutes later. After a few trips this year, I had come to expect dissapointment in the places I went to eat at. This time, however, It didn't happen. Thank you Drakes..... I stopped in by myself for a quick bite after flying in. I saw on the online menu that they had a dish that took me right back to 12 years old, so I knew I had to go there. I sat at the bar and was immediately acknowledged by the bartender Kylie (I hope I git that right) as she took my drink and food order. She got my strawberry lemonade immediately. I don't know what kind it was, but it was very refreshing. It didn't have that overpowering artificial sourness one might normally get; no, this one was light and refreshing. About 10 minutes later, my meal arrived. I ordered the fried bologna sandwich. That's the first time I'd seen it on a menu, so I had to order it. It did not dissapoint. I thought it was delicious !! The fries were nicely cooked as well and came with a big fat pickle wedge. Overall, the food was great. The place seemed very clean, and the bar was nice and tidy. The big TV screens had funny videos playing, so I loved watching that as I enjoyed my food. There was nothing bad that I could say about it... WELL DONE Drakes. !!! read more

I am so glad this place was open for dinner after 10 PM! This place is so comfy if you are lucky enough to snag the table by the fireplace with oversized leather chairs (which we were on this visit). The service was great and the food very good! I got the teriyaki chicken bowl and my son got the cheddar smash burger with bacon. If you are in the mood for drinks, there is a full bar and the music is playing all night. We will be back! read more

It was our first time here and we will definitely be back. We'll also be bringing friends! This place is awesome. When we sat down, there were huge green lounge chairs at one of the tables that we could have chosen to sit in, which really set the vibe for the place. There are huge TVs everywhere, a big selection on the menu, and even a dedicated zero proof section on the drink menu, which I really appreciated. Our server Grace was amazing and very knowledgeable about the menu. They started getting pretty busy after we got our appetizers, but I noticed Grace hustling and helping out the other staff while still making sure we were taken care of. The mini burgers with the garlic mayo are AMAZING. Highly recommend trying them. We will definitely be back next Sunday. read more

The service here is ridiculou. We sat down and waited about 10 mins before anybody came to our table. Ordered our food, which was 2 burgers, quesadillas and some chicken tenders. It took an hour for us to get our food. Our waitress also barely came to our table. Twice in an hour. Not to check on us or an update on why our food was taking forever. If I could give this place no stars I would. Spend your money elsewhere. read more

It took 30-40 minutes for my party of two to get our food, despite there being a lot of empty tables. When it came, the fries were room temp at best and my fried fish was slimy in the middle like it had not been cooked enough. Beer and cocktail selection was good. The fireplace was nice for a cold day. Maybe the sushi is good. But I would not order off the burger and sandwich menu again. read more

Sat at the bar on a busy Saturday for lunch. Bartenders were great, beer was cold, and food was awesome. Had the mini BLT Burgers with tots and wife had the fish & chips. We love Drake's and this is another great location! read more

This chain is ok. Burgers and sushi doesn't seem like a good mix considering they have 2 different preparation processes, but i guess it has worked fro them. I wouldn't go here for sushi or burgers since they are not the best compared to a place that specializes in sushi or burgers and fries, but whatever, everyone needs a niche right? I have ordered a specialty burger here the couple times I have been and it was ok. Nothing horrible but not spectacular either. I have been here a couple of times because others have wanted to meet here, other than that I wouldn't go on my own. read more

Everything we experienced at Drake's was amazing. The wait time to be seats was short and nice that they text you when your table is ready! Then we had Corey, who was our amazing waiter! He went above and beyond to make sure our two little kids had everything they needed! The food was spectacular! You Have to try their bowls. We are the California Crunch bowl and the Teriyaki Chicken Bowl and both were amazing! read more

Husband and I went for dinner and I ordered the Queso burger and husband got the buffalo chicken wrap. The Queso burger so good especially if you like spicy such good flavor and fried jalapeños and cheese and seasoning and fresh. This wasn't a frozen burger either. Driving through the Midwest? What a find! Friday night brought us to a bustling restaurant with only bar seats available, so make your reservations! The fresh fish used for the creatively curated sushi rolls and offered Gluten Free options of rolls. What to get? Pretzel bites with beer cheese, although the pretzels were a bit over cooked on the outside, and were brought out with the sushi.. we ate it all. The edamame was nicely steamed with a tinge of spice and sesame seed. The Sushi Rolls were not the best, I expected a bigger representation for the NY roll, and the tuna lovers roll was pretty plain and too much rice. This place needs Bar Rescue help. There were two staff that could actually pour beer from draft.. this one staff kept pouring, and scooping all of the foam head off with a spoon. And then refilled with over spillage. Two customers actually asked for napkins to wipe the glass dry. I will try to upload the video. The second issue while sitting at the bar, the used glasses were placed on the upward stream for rinsing, and not wiped down, when placed for reuse. That's when I thought Managment should be aware. We tried to get the "red shirt" managers, and they were too busy covering tables and the bar. Perhaps they were short staffed this visit? All of the staff was friendly, checked in.. and the main complaint was bringing the appetizer out with dinner, and the waste observed and cleanliness factor was lacking. read more

Becoming a local favorite for our family. I hear great things about the sushi but we've stuck to the burgers mostly. Looking for a place with a broad selection of foods and drinks, look no further! Drakes provides sushi, excellent craft burgers, fish and chips, etc. - there is something for everyone. Service is normally excellent and friendly, as well. My only wish is that there was more proper and additional seating by the fireplace in the cooler months - sitting there eating is wonderful. BLTs and Club Sandwiches are my go-to here, but their BLT salad is hard to pass up! Great place to take the family, the team after a sports event, or even for a date in the evening. Lot's of televisions tuned to all the sports if you want that, too. Casual dress - ample parking - and some great reserved spots for our military and veterans, too (thanks for your service!!). read more

Came here for the first time today with my coworkers for a going away. Was extremely excited since the menu looks amazing. The booth seats are setup weird but it is what it is, I had only gotten fried pickles since I had already eaten lunch. My coworker got the salad, as she was eating it she said she thought it tasted funny. All of a sudden her fork stop instantaneously like she hit a brick wall, well close enough as she hit a block of ice at the middle, and it was white like it was soap water from the dishwasher that got frozen. When I asked the waitress if it was supposed to be in the salad, her eyes got wide and her jaw DROPPED because it was not supposed to be in the salad. Prob won't come back here for a while and hopefully none of us are sick from the food the next couple of days. Fingers crossed we won't. Update, my coworker is already feeling sick from her salad. read more

Grabbed a few quick bites and beverages from here and enjoyed the wait staff and our selections. California crab roll was good and the tacos were decent. Enjoyed our drinks as well. This was a CarryOut order. For a basket of chicken tenders/side salad+fries and three mini cheeseburgers/tator tots, $41 total. Items were forgotten and small side portions were given. I have higher expectations and was disappointed with this interaction. One positive was quick curbside assistance (~3-5min). I do typically enjoy this establishment, but constancy in food and service is lacking. read more

The burgers are good when they are prepared correctly. The chili is good when they bring it. If you get there before sundown, keep in mind many of the bar seats face the sun and there is nothing blocking it. People were using menus as visors. The service was good for the first week when they had every trainer in the country working to get orders out. Now, the staff is about as incompetent as it gets. Food comes out slow, and usually wrong. Let's not forget the parking situation. Good luck finding a spot read more
