She was friendly, explained items on the menu, and we had 5 star service from her!!! Every single thing we ordered was cooked to perfection! Fried chicken, moist with crunchy seasoned coating, not greasy at all! We also had top notch, hand breaded mushrooms and zucchini. Wow!! To die for!! I couldn't eat my chicken tortilla soup; it was too spicy for my taste. Lexi kept our drinks refilled, the owner brought us towels to dry ourselves with from the downpour we were in! And, the manager didn't seem interested in customer feedback disappearing during this proceds. The most unfortunate thing is they didn't comp the meal but only wanted to send a steak home to- go after all their mistakes and everone else had finshed their meals. I guarantee that will be the last time we visit Mascoutah Steak House. It's sad since it's one of the restaurants I look forward to when visiting the area. But, never again. I loved it all, but my husband thought there was too much sauce on the sprouts and wasn't crazy about the salad. He loved the entree though. We got the tiramisu for dessert, and took it home with us.
