We have never been to a Waffle House before. The food was great!! And our server was beyond amazing! I wish I had gotten her name, but she's very young with blonde hair and has a nose ring (that doesn't matter to me at all, only just giving a description of her since I don't know her name). I hope she sees this, because I really want her to know how friendly and welcoming she was to us and our 4 kids!! The only reason we went there was because we were doing a Route 66 trip and we wanted to eat somehow other than Denny's. I'm glad we picked Waffle House. read more

This place was incredible! I can't remember our waitress name but she was soooooo friendly and nice. I didn't even want to leave. She was a 17 year old turning 18 this Christmas, she was such an incredible spirit. She said she wanted to go to visit NYC at some point, I hope she makes it to New York! The food was also very good. This location stays quite busy! It was a noisy diner; there were some food crumbs left on our table and the waitress refused to wipe the table . She said she just did and proceeded to take our drink order. She obviously had an attitude today. Food was mediocre. Sausage is not real pork sausage! Our waffle turned out piping hot. They use a "whipped spread" for butter. Our waitress kept our drinks refilled. Overall, I hadn't eaten at a Waffle House in several years; the food was mediocre at best. read more

Went to brunch here with my friend, they were able to seat us in the last available booth very quickly! They had very prompt service, with our food being out about 5 minutes after we had ordered it! Waffle House has always been one of my favorites, I think it's an underrated restaurant. I actually love being able to watch them cook the food in front of you, kind of an American Hibachi? lol, all jokes aside the ambience of an old school diner, is something I enjoy as well. The food was very good & hot! We were able to get in and out quickly, thanks to the fast service. The bill was surprisingly low as well! Only $23 for both of us to have brunch, including our drinks. It was my first time with the opportunity to go to too Waffle House. I know my family thinks I'm nuts, but it was spectacular!!! Lol. Review Visit: December 30th, 2012 I've been here multiple times and never had the waffles. Yet. My first real visit to a Waffle House was during my trip to Florida in 2012. It was at the tail end of a great night... and with it being Spring Break, it was quite a hopping place with party people everywhere. It was such a good time that I didn't get photos while there. So a bunch of us ended up visiting one later that year on a trip to St. Louis. This visit was at the end of a long day exploring around St. Louis. We were hungry, slightly tired and ready for a break from driving and sightseeing. If I remember right, I had been the only to try a Waffle House, so my friends were in for a treat. We stopped around 10pm and it was slow. Staff was quick to seat us and get our drinks. While everyone deliberated on what to order, I went for what I had in Panama City Beach. The TEXAS BACON LOVERS BLT! So we all ordered food and waited. If you have ever been to a Waffle House, you'll know the food comes out quick and the prices are cheap, cheap, cheap! This visit was no exception. They also shout orders at the chefs, which enhances the experience. The Texas BLT was just as good as I hazily remembered. Ying loved the bacon so much (can't blame her) that she ordered a bunch to go. Everyone else enjoyed their meal, too. Since this visit, I have been back to another Waffle House and it was just as good. People I've talked to either love or hate Waffle House, so you may not share the same praise I have for the place. Went in for a late afternoon lunch at 3pm, and it was not busy for a change. It was exactly what I wanted, the staff was friendly and talkative, the place seemed to be in good order (I just walked in and sat at the bar, and didn't really look around). Nasty attitude of waitress! Sit down in the booth sun was in our eyes. We adjusted the shade a waitress immediately snapped and said we were not to touch it. It could possibly fall on our head. For literal YEARS I have been anti Waffle House. I've had it in many states + it just never hit for me like it seems to for others. First visit I ordered the All-star breakfast with a regular waffle, bacon, over medium eggs, smothered + covered hash browns + a biscuit and let me tell you something... that biscuit + bacon SHMACKED! Lol I seriously don't know what they did, but that was some of the best bacon ive ever had. The flavor was hittin + the biscuit was perfectly fluffy while still crispy on the outside. The waffle was good too, thats one thing I always gave WH... I mean, as it should be LOL I wish they'd put more cheese on the hash browns, but those were crispy, just as I like them. Overall, I can't say I wasn't satisfied. The second time we went was late night + we ordered to go. I got the cheesesteak melt + maaaaannnnnnn! Throw a little mayo + ketchup on there + you're DEFINITELY going to enjoy it! If nothing else, I highly recommend that sandwich!!! My food was good but I know if I end up sick today it's because of how I saw the grill area I didn't see the grills clean I seen some workers touching raw eggs the straight to cooked meet without changing gloves I would suggest their team starts to steam clean the grills I see they change gloves but it needs to happen more in my opinion if you have allergies to certain meats and what not this place is not for you and they need a bit more seating to serve to the flow of people that come through the door read more

Okay, I am admittedly a Waffle House fan boy. I know a lot of people throw shade at WH, but the fact is, most of the time, you know what you are walking into when you walk into a WH. I happen to like the food and with few exceptions it is at least adequate, if not actually good! I've eaten at so many Waffle Houses across the nation I have a really good handle on what makes a good WH and what makes a bad one. This location in Collinsville, falls firmly into that "good one" bucket. It was clean, the waitstaff was super friendly, they got my order correct, and the food was cooked properly and came out super fast. I am giving this waffle house no stars. From the moment we arrived we were not greeted and they didn't clean any of the empty tables for to sit down. When we asked to have the tables clean, we were looked at as if we cussed them out. Now the real crap started we wait 30 minutes for service and when asked we were met with so much attitude when as if our order could be taken. We were so disrespected that I vowed to never eat at another waffle house ever and to ensure I inform everyone I know to boycott this restaurant for they don't care about the people they serve. These employees have no customer service skills and I guess your company should start with hiring people who know how to do customer service and know that they representing the waffle house brand and not their ghetto attitudes of just here for the check. We don't have a Waffe House in our state so whenever we see one on our travels, we make an effort. You always know what the food will taste like. We had the pecan waffle and although you can't see the pecans trust me they are there! Had my fav, hash browns smothered and covered! This was a newer place so everything was clean.
