I had a coupon, so I thought I would grab a quick breakfast. They seem to have added a lot of new items to the breakfast menu beyond the usual pancakes and omelets. I ordered a Bacon and Avocado Omelet and had them upgrade the hash browns to everything. (Cheese, gravy and onions). It was better than I expected...a lot better.. Came early in the morning on a Tuesday. An Asian woman was up front and my server. She was excellent. The food was better than expected for a Dennys BUT WHY THE F*** IS IT 40° INSIDE THE BUILDING?!? My truck said it was 39° outside and there was literally no noticeable change in temperature when I walked inside. All the employees are dressed like they're going skiing. I was hungry so even though I was dressed for the cold I sat there and shivered while I ate. I asked if it was always like that or if the heat was broken. Nope. Always like that. Too bad. Me and my daughter went here to eat breakfast a day before my daughters birthday to celebrate just me and her . I wrote down my name on the list and after this manager was calling a name not even close to my name therefore I didn't say anything but the manager called the person that came after me and I went up to ask why they haven't called me and the manager was frustrated because he said he called me but dude come on you didn't call my name he was saying someone else's name! Anyways he was being rude and I told my server about it and he gave me the complaint line since apparently he treated his employees bad as how he treat his customers. 4 months later my family wanted to go to Denny's and we came here! And of course this Manager was being rude after my dad complaints how they said 15 minutes and it's been 30 min and they haven't said something . Denny's isn't the place that you plan to go to, it's more like the kind of place you end up in. I'm not a huge fan of diners/diner food, so this review is solely for their desserts and service. When you're craving some late night sweetness which must be satisfied within that hour, and no candy or chocolate at home can cure this crave, Denny's in the midst of it all. Their caramel apple crisp avec a scoop of vanilla ice cream usually hits the spot, although it could use a little more crisp. Their portion is good enough for two or more people, but definitely not for one. At $3.49 it's such a steal, and you get to satisfy that midnight craving! Service-wise, I can't really complain. I usually come late night when there are a few customers, so they're bound to make continuous rounds. Coffee gets refilled and water is topped off, I'm happy. My biggest gripe is their bathroom. With only two stalls in the women's bathroom, and a very slow night, you'd expect some cleanliness. Instead, I found myself uncomfortably positioning myself to avoid stepping on poo. read more

I used to love coming to Denny's and getting my grub on. Pancakes, eggs, hashbrowns, get in my belly! I last went to get my elevensies on with my sisters and daughter. Geez, I had the worst food coma. I wasn't even this sleepy on Thanksgiving! I ordered Bilbo's Breakfast Feast: "A slice of honey cake French toast drizzled with honey, two eggs scrambled with Cheddar cheese, fresh spinach and mushrooms, a hearty breakfast sausage and crispy hash browns". - The french toast was ok, nothing special. - The scrambled eggs/spinach/cheese concoction was good. Could have done without the cheese. I scraped what I could off the top. - Hashbrowns were good as always. - The hearty breakfast sausage was so greasy. I couldn't eat it. It was bad. The last few times I've been to Denny's I got a food coma. I haven't learned my lesson yet. Next time, I'll have to order off the lighter / healthier menu to avoid the coma. Placed an online order for curbside pickup convenient to me cause had my infant. When I went for curbside pick up there was no answer on phone I was calling literally was sitting in my car waited over 15 min calling. Decided to walk in with my infant. When I spoke to manager he was very rude saying they where super busy (screaming) which in the first place shouldn't be accepting and promoting curbside pick up if they are gonna be ignoring calls for curbside pick up it only takes 1 minute to bring food to someone's car. I wasn't gonna pay for cold and stale food that was sitting on a table just because they didn't want to complete their job I ended up not taking order and cancelling it. August 8 2020 I went to a Denny's restaurant that I'm very familiar with and watched it run down, two years ago on my birthday I sat in the seat that smelled like urine and musty, it took a Second to figure out that the smell was coming from my seat and is now on my clothes. I mentioned it to the waitress she told me there was no homeless person there and then wiped the seat with the towel she was cleaning the tables with! She had an attitude. came into dennys late around 1:30 am. pretty much to kill time until my train ride in the morning. my intention was to order a little something to eat but mainly hang out in a safe place for a reasonable amount of time without becoming a nuisance. money was pretty tight which explains choosing dennys instead of a hotel. hard times but I'm not complainin. just doing what I gotta do. anyways, I explained this to the waiter without going into unnecessary detail and he nearly denied me service before my friend spoke up and said bluntly, "we're here to eat". that pretty much silenced him and nodded towatds a table basically telling us to sit wherever. shit like this rarely effects me in any way at all. ive never written a yelp review in my life. this is the first. as I sit here writing I'm thinking wtf are you doing to myself? like who gives a fuck right? but we've been here for almost 45 min without any service whatsoever. not a drink order nothing. ok as I wrote that last sentence he came and took our order. All I tried to do was explain why we may not be ordering a ton of food and hanging around a little longer than usual. I'm a straight forward type of guy. Went to this location today with a party of 3 and had terrible service from server Raul. This review is not really about the food because that was great but this server is awful. He was not friendly at all, didn't check in on us, when we asked for things wouldn't acknowledge us or even look us in the eye. It was like he hated having to serve us. My party didn't ask for anything extra and we said thank you each time we were very polite. Easter Sunday my family and friends went to Denny's restaurant in Northridge. We were seated in a back room where it seemed like we were forgotten. Still we tried to make the best of it , after ordering 3 of our orders were either missing food or not brought to the table. We had to ask for refills .
