There is ALWAYS a line inside the front door in front of the register waiting just to get a table... when there are PLENTY of tables vacant. Whether it's that there is a shortage of waitresses (doesn't look it) or the waitresses are too stupid and inept to handle more than 2 tables at a time (could be), the manager is the one whose head should come off first and foremost. read more

I had the grand slam sandwich- comes with bacon, egg, cheese, sausage, ham, mayo on toasted sweet bread with maple spice, and hash browns on the side. Pretty good. The coffee was alright, nothing spectacular. Hubby was looking for an interesting type of pancake- but they had nothing!! Regular flap jacks- take it or leave it. I know we weren't at IHop, but at least come up with a chocolate chip pancake or something with a fruit topping on top like most ordinary diners have!! Pancakes for breakfast is just as popular as eggs- c'mon Denny's!! That's why they get 2 stars- not a great variety on the menu. Once we got inside there we noticed a lot of people waiting but when we looked around there was 10 tables open - there was no one in front desk to greet or take names down, no one would even make eye contact- ten minutes later I was able to get someone's attention (if you can even call it that because she didn't once look up at me and had a terrible attitude, as if I were unconvincing her) They said 20 minute wait and 30 minute later we were still there , asked the employee how much longer and she curtly replied "they'll call you when they're ready" We walked out. In general, food was good, and service just regular. Disappointed that the waitress gave us the bill and state that it is mandatory to pay 18% of the total bill on tips. We received a receipt without any percentage of tips of whatever. We were not agree to pay 18% tip for a service of just 5 min. In Europe you tip if you feel the waiter did something extra, they get a salary and if the restaurant don't pay enough salary then they should look for another job!. TIPPING IS NOT MANDATORY!! We offer a tip of 8 dollars and she didn't accept it, she wanted the 18% of the total bill! At the end we didn't pay any tips. We were craving hamburgers so we thought what other place than Denny's for that.
