Whenever I shop at Macy's and need a bite, I stop by the Taste Bar. My favorite things to snack on are: the spinach empanadas! Omg they are THE BEST spinach empanadas you'll ever taste! There's just something about them! They're $4 a pop and very filled with delicious spinach filling. Not dry, not too tart like in other places...just right! If I'm a little hungrier, I add a soup which are pretty tasty! You wouldn't believe how good the food here is unless you try it! They have baked goods, coffee, and I always pair my snack with a cold pressed juice! I love the beet juice. They have different ones for detox, immune system booster, citrus, etc. The service is always good and friendly! I would definitely recommend stoping by if you've never gave it a chance before. If you're at Dadeland and looking for coffee that's not Starbucks stop inside Macys on the first floor for Cuban coffee. They have espresso's, colada's and cortadito's, and almond milk for it if regular milk isn't your thing. They also have pastelitos and empanadas along with salads and sandwiches. ​Finally, ​we ate here!!! I have been wanting to come and try their food in here for a long time. This ​​is a cafe inside the Macy's store at Dadeland Mall here in South Miami, with chairs and tables​ so you can enjoy your meal at this department store. We had a chocolate muffin and chicken fingers. The chicken was good, served in​ a little bag and hot. The Taste and texture were​ delicious. The muffin was super good, so moist and not greasy at all. So much more than expected. Holy crap. This is real food. Good sandwiches and salads and stuff. My favorite is the cobblestone sandwich. Real food does take a little longer to prepare. This little mall eatery is great for a quick lunch or snack after shopping. I love their Cobblestone turkey sandwich so much, sometimes I'll just pop into Macy's just for that, like I did today. I know, it sounds silly to drive just for a sammie, but once you've had a bite of the thick and sugary cinnamon raisin bread that makes up this sandwich you'll do the same. Layers of turkey, melts Swiss and thick crispy bacon make up the rest of the sandwich. The cranberry and lemon aioli takes the scrumptiousness to next level. read more

HORRIBLE PLACE I AM A FORMER Employee of this place and I do not recommend this place whatsoever. I recently experienced some behavior that was not appropriate of my former boss to do. Bosses should not try to hug or make any type of physical contact with their employees including hugging or complementing physical appearance. I used to love Cosi, the former cafe smack-dab middle of Macy's so Macy's Taste Bar had a lot of hype to live up to in my mind. And fortunately, I wasn't disappointed ... at all. They have an assortment of sandwiches, salads, and pizzas and while I really wanted to try the garlic cheese pizza - I decided to play it safe and try the tuna melt. It was pretty good, melted and cheesy, just the way I like it. I also had some bites of the tuna salad sandwich on Ciabatta bread and it was just as good. The prices are affordable, about $6 with chips, which is almost unheard of by Subway standards. They had enticing desserts that I refrained from sadly, as well as many different sauces, jams, condiments, snacks, and salad dressings available for purchase - some of them really, really interesting. They also had a sign up with a quote and salad named after Michelle Bernstein (chef of Michy's & Sra Martinez) so I couldn't help but wonder her true connection and if she is on board with the Taste Bar, then so was I. read more

I've been here twice now and ordered something different each time. I came here because I happened to have a Macy's gift card (they accept as payment which is a plus) so I figured why not. Now I know why not, lol. The best thing about my experience here was the customer service. The young lady who took my order was very patient when I asked her several questions and she offered to let me taste all the soups to decide which I liked best. I had the cobblestone panini. It seemed like it wasn't pressed, or if it was pressed it wasn't long enough. The sandwich was warm but it was not toasted as a panini should be. It wasn't even hot tbh. And it just wasn't good. Which was really disappointing since the description sounded like it would be great and unique. Second time I ordered the grilled cheese. It was better than the Cobblestone sandwich at least but still not that good. Let's just say I'm happy I didn't pay for the meals. read more

The plates here are great but the service is far from it! All the servers are always displaying horrible moods and are extremely lazy. The only reason I have stopped by twice is because the pizza is very good and so are the salads. There is absolutely no cell phone service in this location, the mood is gloomy and depressing. Horrible energy from the staff and the wait for your food can take up to 30 minutes for a salad! read more

Food was fine after I had to pick out the bacon that I did not order with my sandwich. I agree with other reviewers that the prices are reasonable. I will give this place another try. I did receive good customer service. Although it did take almost 20min to receive a turkey sandwich. Next time I go, I will give myself more time to eat and shop. I was extremely happy with the service here. Its not that the food is five star... its a taste bar with good sandwiches and coffee ect... but the attentive staff is great! I ordered a sandwich that was not what I expected and the lady ( i think she was one of the cooks) in the back offered me another delicious sandwich complementary and was so sweet and friendly. The food here is great. When it is prepared correctly. Unfortunately you need to be ready to hold the servers hand as they plate your stuff. They will forget to add your carrots or chips or sauce. They will pack your food in the inappropriate container which would lead to disaster unless you stop them and tell them how to pack it. And of course the customer service is laughable. They don't acknowledge you. And food takes forever to be served. The Cobblestone Turkey pressed sandwich is delicious but for some odd reason it take upwards of 20 minutes from ordering to receive. read more

The only reason I give it 2 stars is because the food happens to be tasty. Somehow the service was the most disappointing thing ever! We waited 30 minutes for a soup and sandwich. After 30 minutes the cashier poured me the soup and at 40 minutes the sandwich still had not come out. It seemed like one order was being prepared every 10 minutes and all they really serve are soups, salads, and sandwiches. The ladies preparing the food spent more time arguing among themselves than actually preparing the food. Sadly, this kind of place in the middle of the store should serve as a semi-quick food place where you can eat to take a break from shopping. The Taste Bar was renovated about a year ago. Customer service has improved. Ive noticed this change because I've come here a few times through out the years. I love the chicken spaetzle soup. The pretzel turkey sandwich is delicious. I would come here again because the food has never disappointed me. read more

I have been a customer at this cafe for about a year now. My past experiences have not been good ones, and I have been disappointed with the service and quality of food. Gina waited on me today and was upbeat, patient, and considerate. She waited for me to find my cards and asked me how I wanted my coffee made. Throughout the order I changed my mind concerning my purchases, and she was more than happy to assist me, without skipping a beat, she offered me alternatives and was genuinely kind. Disgusting. No other word. I ordered an egg/cheese/tomato croissant, and said several times, NO bacon. Of course the croissant took over 20 mins & had bacon but no tomatoes. I told the lady @ the counter. She gave it back to the kitchen. I stood there horrified when all the kitchen did was to open the sandwich & pick the bacon out! I asked her if all they planned to do was just pick the bacon out & add tomatoes? She proudly said yes, handed me the croissant & walked away. The sandwich was cold, soggy, and gross. Their sandwiches are very tasty...and i used to love their chicken chili until(the is the reason for the 3 stars) once i found a chicken aorta in my chili which really ended my love for their chili.They were nice about it and gave me a free sandwich for the mishap but it was really gross when your eating your food and you find chicken organs in there. other than that I will steer away from their soups and just eat thier sandwiches which are very good.. read more

I work in the mall and eat here all the time! The best to me is the Chili! I know crazy right? Who would have thought Macy's has the best chili ever! THEY DO! And the Cuban sandwich is awesome as well. I am always greeted with a smile and they are always helpful and patient with me. Love this place! read more

I have to say. This was my second visit to this Taste Bar. I went about a year ago and was so disappointed that I told myself I would never return. I am not one to write a review on any place, but I was stuck at the Macy's while my Grandmother finished her Christmas shopping. I was sitting there with just coffee, remembering the horrible service I received the previous visit, so in my mind I was refusing to eat a thing. But as I was sitting there, I was watching a young woman walk around and greet everyone at the tables, introducing herself as the new manager, and making sure everyone was ok. The gentleman at the register was quieter than I'd pick for food service, but the lady next to him at the other register was just as pleasant and super bubbly, greeting everyone vocally as they walked in the door. I was watching everyone eat.. and the food walk past me. Everyone seemed happy and I decided... to give the Cobblestone Turkey panini another try. I waited just over 10 minutes for my food. There were people there complaining about the wait... but come on, this isn't a fast food restaurant! They were so welcoming and the sandwich came with chips and was very good. I also got a homemade lemonade, which was great as well. I actually decided to write a review, because it was so different from my previous visit. The place is under new management, and it was very clear that they are making changes for the better. It was also extremely clean and went tended after. I'd recommend for sure. read more
