Located on the bottom level of an office building in the Coral Gables area, this cafe mostly fuels those who work in the same building or nearby. The owners are Venezuelan though their menu offers a wide variety of easy breakfast and lunch items. They also have weekly specials that vary by day of the week so if you work in the area you could come here frequently and always try something new! My boyfriend and I were starving that day so we started with a smoothie that was decent and refreshing at the time. We were lucky since we came on arepa day (Friday) in which you can also get your arepas fried. My boyfriend is Venezuelan so he was eager to try what they had--- we got the carne mechada (shredded beef) and chicken both fried. They were DELICIOUS. Tasted just like home cooked arepas! Both meats were extremely flavorful. When it came to our meals I had a sandwich with prosciutto, mozzarella, and tomato. It was very mediocre and seemed a little expensive for what it was. There wasn't much prosciutto in it, the tomato wasn't ripe enough and the baguette bread used wasn't anything special. My boyfriend ordered the steak quesadilla which was much better than what I ordered. They filled the quesadilla adequately with cheese and juicy steak, also including green peppers which were all really tasty paired with their side dipping sauce. Would recommend ordering a quick coffee from here, the arepas on Fridays or the steak quesadilla. The other items we tried didn't stand out too much to me so wouldn't seek specifically to return here but would frequent this place if I worked in the area!

I've been bringing my 4oz cup to get my daily cortadito; tasting better than the day before. Highly recommend you bring your own cup or mug for you coffee. Your Welcome!

The location is pretty easy to get to, although I'm not quite sure about parking as I took a rideshare and got dropped off in front of the entrance. Upon entering this was a small quaint space, cute bar area and a cozy waiting area that also included a couch and a couple of chairs. I sat at the bar as it was just myself. Peter and April were wonderful in regards to their service and their conversation skills throughout the meal. The tasting menu had several items on it. All of them were absolutely fantastic. A couple of other reviews mentioned that they wish the portion sizes were a little bit larger and I'm not quite sure. Maybe they just have a larger capacity because I left absolutely stuffed. Each dish was explained very well with all of them having a combination of savory, sweet, umami, and the presentation skills were on point. The one thing that was a little bit interesting is seeing that this is an Asian fusion restaurant there were no chopsticks in sight using a knife and fork seemed a little bit out of place. I'm not gonna lie. As this was a tasting menu every course was timed out and at one point Peter and I were having a conversation and April informed me that the next course was gonna be on the way. I ended up having to eat a little bit faster than I would liked to make sure that I could keep on the chefs schedule. At the end of the meal they give you a token to redeem in the cookie gumball dispenser machine. I was curious about this as all night a guests departed. I saw everyone stop at the machine, deposit the token and get something out. April informed me that the plastic balls didn't have to be left there. You could take them with you as I could not eat anything else at the moment. Such a fun idea and nice parting gift as well as a nice memory for such a unique experience. I'll definitely keep this on my shortlist of places when in Miami and would love to come back to try any menu changes as I really enjoyed the variety and again not having to select specific items and being able to try multiple dishes throughout the courses that were offered.

It has amazing portions as well. For starters, we got the Pulled Burrata, Brussels Sprouts Caesar Salad, Soft Baked Potato Rolls, and Yellowfin Tuna Tiradito. The rolls came with a maple brown butter on the side that was sooo good, the perfect mix of sweet and salty. For our entrées, we had the Pasta Carbonara, which was my absolute favorite, and the Wagyu Smash Burger. It came with the best truffle fries, and the whole plate was filled. They were incredibly crispy and delicious. We also had the Slow Cooked Short Ribs, which were so tender and served over a rich, flavorful sauce. Of course, we got all the desserts, the Dirt Cup with ice cream on the bottom, the Cap'N Crunch Panna Cotta, and a Tres Leches that I forgot the name of. It was like a funfetti birthday cake-style tres leches. My favorite was definitely the Panna Cotta.

For a starter, the tuna crudo was incredibly fresh, perfectly complemented by the guava sauce and pickled onions. My short rib entree was tender, though the true star was the Tuscan kale with a sherry demi-glace. I have to figure out how to recreate that kale at home! My mate also thoroughly enjoyed the wagyu burger, which was tender and memorable. We finished with the "dirt cup." The combination of vanilla ice cream and cookie crumbles was great, but the hazelnuts stole the show with their addictive crunch. Overall, I had a fantastic meal and highly recommend Eating House.

I dined here on a Thursday night. I was told that Wednesdays and Thursdays have a limited menu and on the weekends the menu is coursed options only. I don't normally love coursed meals, but I feel like this is the place to do it because everything we tried on that Thursday night was DELICIOUS. First off, they did such a nice job with the space. It's colorful, well lit, and inviting. The wine list also has excellent options and the waitress isn't trying to force you into the most expensive items. The wait staff are cordial and helpful and the Chef is humble and sweet in his explanation of the dishes. For wine, we got the bottle of tempranillo and it was delicious. We started with the focaccia and ricotta and honey. Honestly, it was the best honey I have ever tasted. They even told me where to buy it on my own if interested. Everything is freshly sourced from local farms and it shows. We also had the steak tartare that came with the blueberry capers. Those were a little weird for me but my friend loved them. We also had those delicious scallops that I believe were poached in wagyu fat. I don't even like scallops normally but they were exquisitely prepared. For entrees we had the boniato pasta and the cod. Both were deliciously prepared and I will definitely order again. But that boniato pasta that was sort of like a tortellini filled with boniato and topped with like a foam of citrus flavors- was easily one of the best pastas I have ever eaten in my life. The dish is creative yet light but absolutely delicious. This dish belongs on the show "best thing I ever ate". For dessert, we tried the lemon dessert that was light and airy and not overly bitter or citrusy. We also got the brownie dessert that was one of the most delicious desserts I have ever tasted. My friend and I fought over not one- but two portions of that dessert. Can't wait to go back for the tasting menu and friendly service!
