What a great find! We flew in to Miami early this morning. Looking for a breakfast place and saw this. Did not disappoint! Our breakfast dishes were freshly made, coffee was delicious as was the fresh juice. Cute place with white linen tablecloths, music, about a dozen tables, and terrific prices.

I've eaten at Off the Mile a few times now, and each visit has been consistent. The restaurant is pretty small, so either crowded or intimate, depending on how you look at it. The vaca frita de pollo is pretty good, but not the best I've ever had. There is a parking lot at the restaurant, which is not always the case in that part of Coral Gables and makes it much more convenient to visit. Service is friendly and quick, and the food is consistently good. The bathroom is also clean.

What a welcome surprise Off The Mile is to the Vicky Bakery Family! We stopped by the other morning for breakfast and will definitely be back. Off the Mile is a pretty small spot, with some outdoor seating as well as indoor. We opted for indoor because summer, and were greeted by the friendly server and warm tostadas. At this point, I was already crushing hard on Off the Mile. They have a small variety of items on the breakfast menu, but they are solid choices. I opted for the Traditional Spanish Breakfast which was eggs on top of Garbanzos with Chorizo and a Spanish hollandaise sauce. The hollandaise is what sold me on this, and it seems to be spread throughout the garbanzos in the cute little cazuela it's served in. Points to this dish for being both cute and tasty! For the breakfast, you can get eggs served any way. I asked for poached eggs and the server looked at my like I had 3 heads, but alas you must remember your audience so sunny side up was my final choice. Loved my breakfast choice! I also eyed the Bistec Al Caballo which came with a huge portion of steak, as well as the traditional Cuban breakfast. Breakfast for two, including delicious cafe con leches was around $20. Solid meal for a great price.

We had just gotten off our cruise ship and had driven through parts of Coral Gables reminiscing about growing up in Miami. After visiting Venetian Pool just to show my family one of my favorite places we needed to find a place to eat. So we needed a place to eat. My Aunt wanted to go to some place on Red and Bird roads but I used Yelp to find this little treasure!!! The service was fantastic. The five of us were all happy with our breakfasts. I love Cuban coffee and this didn't disappoint. The bathroom was clean. The server great. The food pretty good. The fresh squeezed orange juice was great too! The Cuban bread...yum. Would go back!!! Oh and it was less expensive than I would've thought for a place in coral gables.

I noticed people dining here as I was grabbing coffee at the Vicky's so I decided to give it a try for lunch today. This restaurant is owned and operated by the same owners as Vicky's Bakery. It has a cozy feeling with a wine rack, which gives this place a wine bar feeling. When I paged through the menu I noticed traditional Cuban dishes. I'm not sure why this restaurant is also dubbed as New Americana. However, the few patrons seated for lunch were also enjoying a glass of red wine, which makes sense---this is also a wine bar after all. The menu also has a breakfast section. I opted for a medium churasco steak with rice and beans. The chimichuri sauce was fresh and zesty and the meat was a nice cut seasoned well. Service was good. There is also a Facebook page for the restaurant. All in all, a very nice addition to our neighborhood.

Being that I live AND work in the Gables, there comes a time where i feel like I been & eaten everywhere & just want something new. Imagine my surprise when i discovered off the mile! Apparently, this place has been opened for three years just blocks from my home & i never knew. Even more exciting to learn that they had delivery! I called in, placed my order & waited excitedly. Delivery was quick & as soon as I opened the container, i knew i would love it. I had the "Classic Spanish Breakfast" (2 Fried Eggs, house potatoes, sautéed spinach & red peppers) I opted out of the chorizo as i love pigs & haven't eaten one on 13 years but did add whole wheat toast & a fresh squeezed orange juice. The whole meal was DELICIOUS, flavourful & very fresh. Will definitely be dining in soon and will continue to order delivery. Really excited to try more of their menu!

Authentic Cuban cuisine. Highly recommended. Had tostones hawaiñanos con Vaca Frita, Tropical Chicken with Mango sauce, and vaca frita de pollo. Very good.

Great place with outstanding food and service. The staff and chef are very attentive to make sure you are happy with every aspect of your meal. The seating is romantic enough for a date but friendly enough for a family. We had the Mahi Mahi Mariscada and the Mixed Seafood Ceviche with Octopus. Both plates were delicious!!! Hope you enjoy Off The Mile as much as we did.

The special of the day, Picadillo, was good, but very small portion. Left kind of hungry. Also for the amount of food, it was overpriced.

AMBIANCE Parking: Dedicated lot and surrounding parking options, though it can get busy during peak hours. Seating: Plenty! Large dining rooms capable of accommodating individuals, families, tour groups, and everyone in between. Vibes: Welcome to Little Havana. It's a bit spaced out for you to experience Cuban culture. The restaurant itself gives you that classic, old-school charm with some history of the Cuban community. I dig the Cuban music giving it a nice cultural touch. This spot is no hidden gem. This is a common place for everyone - locals to tourists. FOOD / DRINKS Cubano (Recommend) Ofcourse you have to get a Cubano. Nothing too flashy but definitely gets the job done. Classic pressed bread with a satisfying crunch with a medley of roasted pork, ham, Swiss cheese, pickles, and mustard to give it a nice savory and comforting taste. Every bite had a good balance of texture and flavor. CUSTOMER SERVICE Awesome! Efficient and experienced. They know this place serves a lot of people so they know they had to come correct. TL;DR OVERALL 5 Stars. Great selections, fair prices, and a solid cultural experience. Versailles does a great job perserving and celebrating Cuban culture. For those interested for that Cuban-Miami experience, this is the place to be. TIPS * Come hungry--the portions are generous

An older waitress served our table. She first brought us calamari that was undercooked, sticky, and raw. She replaced it with octopus, which was more expensive, and we agreed to keep it. We also asked for tap water, but she brought us bottled water instead, which cost $10. The restaurant was very dark, making it difficult to notice these things right away. Before we had a chance to review everything, the food was already served. When the check arrived, she pressured me to pay quickly, so I didn't have enough time to carefully review the bill. Later, I realized we had been charged for additional side dishes that we never ordered, which increased the total significantly. This restaurant is wonderful and doesn't need these kinds of tactics. I only wish they employed more honest waitstaff. My advice is to carefully check your order and your bill before paying so you don't end up spending extra money or dealing with unnecessary stress that could ruin an otherwise enjoyable evening. I truly loved the atmosphere and the food, but I was very disappointed by the service. For me, the ambiance and food deserve 5 stars, while the service deserves only 1 star. That averages out to a 3-star review.

You can't beat having a fake cocaine brick (at least I think) sitting at your table amidst the menus and drinks. They have regular silverware but do use plastic cups that gives off that relaxed, casual vibe. There are several craft beers from all over the country available from $7-10, and I believe a couple house wines. I think the nicest drink you can get is a frozen lemonade or fruit punch. It comes virgin and a little sugary, a little coarsely icy, a lot refreshing. But you can ask for a shot of rum to be added to it. I could drink 3 of those if I allowed myself to! I have tried friends' Cuban dishes, like yuca fries, tostones, rice and beans, which have all been standardly good. But I always get drawn to the Greek menu and end up ordering the plates. The plates are huge and come stacked with fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, a beautifully dressed salad, tzatziki, hummus and pita slices. You have a choice of side, and I have unashamedly ordered the crispy, crunchy fries each time and have plenty to share. The proteins are clearly made freshly---the falafel is crisp and the chicken kebab is well seasoned and moist. However, they come up with creative and tasty offerings as well. The Cuban Sandwich Empanadas are stuffed with juicy pulled pork, ham and melty cheese for a snack you didn't realized you had been waiting for. The Greek egg rolls blows my mind and are a great hot, greasy, juicy, meaty treat. The servers are typically on it when it comes to orders and whatever you need.
