What a great team of people! Stopped here on a Sunday night on our way back from Point of the Bluff. All the restaurants along the way were closed, except for this Denny's. Walking in, we were immediately greeted by Michael, the most upbeat host I have encountered. He reviewed the menu with us and we were quickly served by Alyssa, also lovely and upbeat. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This Denny's was clean and organized and had the most lovely staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered a slam, consisting of eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries and two delectable fluffy pancakes. It was $9.99! Food arrived quickly and hot. At the check out, we saved 15% with our AARP card (I think first time we have ever used this card). Great staff, real and hot food. We have been very fortunate to have travel all over and we just love going for a great burger at this Dennys! It's always a great burger although my husband tried the new fish sandwich which he really enjoyed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is clean and warm ( very cold here) so they even had a space heater for our section.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Jon our waiter is there most every time we go and he is such a great waiter. I worked in food and catering and he really has it all. Very personable, knowledgeable, funny and his timing is impeccable! My wife and I stopped here this morning for breakfast. I ordered 2 eggs over easy-they were raw. I ordered wheat toast-so stale-it was like eating croutons. The bacon and sausage links were ice cold. My wife ordered red potatoes withe her breakfast-the were all dried out like they were a few days old AND they were cold. I spent $38.50 0n this subpar breakfast. I went there a few times when I come visit and I've seen the cook a few times come out with his gloves on. This is beyond disgusting and unsanitary. Someone's going to get food poisoning. My husband and I went to the Geneva Denny's for dinner on 8/28/22. We were seated right away but waited over 15 minutes and no waitress came to our table at all. We were seated at the front of the restaurant so there is no reason why the waitress wouldn't see us. They were not busy and there were 5 waitresses walking around, talking and some were on their cell phones. This will be the last time we go to the Denny's as this isn't the first time this has happened at this location. No longer wonder why some of the Denny's have closed, this one is on its way to closing if it keeps treating customers that way. read more

Worse seveice ever. Came into dennys friday night not very many people seated and our severer finally decided to bring our drinks 15 minutes after taking our drink order. Then it took another 20 minutes to take our food order. We ordered an appetizer that came to our table very cold and not in the proper plate. The server said she had a week off and first night back after the week off. I dont care about your personal life! Dishes were dirty. I gave this one star because i cant give it 0 stars what i think they deserve. 0 stars. 4 cooks in the galley and they still are slow with all the orders. Guests around us were complining as well. Servers/Cook/Host Jenna (assistant manager), Brittany, Natasha, Erin, Kathy, Jackie, Nicole, Electra All of these employees are outstanding and make the dining experience at Denny's very enjoyable and fun. This place all around was a joke! First the waitress Shelly a blond lady in her 50s was in her car when I pulled up at 1:30am. Second she didn't even wait for me to finish placing my order before walking away from me so I had to tell her as she walked away how I wanted my eggs. There were two other people in the restaurant waiting for food. As I sat waiting for my order she decided to start complaining about the worthless cook who was outside smoking weed in his car even though she told him he had an order. She also told me she had worked in Canandaigua and Victor but this place was a joke (I had the same thought)She asked what he (the cook) would think when she just gets in her car and leaves. After a 15mins a taller man with dreadlocks came walking in he seemed to not have a care in the world (I guess he bought the good weed) He did not stop to even wash his hands just like the waitress when she came from her smoke break and went right to work (I guess they missed orientation about sanitation) well I guess at least he wore gloves. A good waiter/waitress could have just made an excuse about a break for the cook or did what I did when I was younger and cook her own food when employees were unavailable or unreliable. Under no circumstances should anyone have said any of the things to a customer like she did. I had to ask for my eggs to be remade cause they were over hard and not over easy. I thanked the cook for doing it and it seemed that he was not as high as she was making out cause he had clear eyes smiled and said no problem. As she went on another rant about the cook in a low voice so he could not hear, I offered her a bit of advice and told her that she should never tell customers what she told me and she could have handled it different. My daughter and I went in about ten pm for a bite to eat. Their were only two other people in there. That kind of scared me cause I thought the food wasn't good. But the waitress came with water and a bubbly attitude and so I decided to stay. Normally I would have left and gone somewhere else. Probably home because there's not much open in Geneva at ten pm. I ordered a slam plate, two eggs, hash browns, sausage.bacon,ham , and two pancakes instead of toast. The food came out quickly, hot and delicious. I like my eggs over medium with no slimy white. They were cooked perfect. Not many people can cook eggs like that. They either cook them hard with brown skin on the bottom or leave the whites too soft that they're slimy inside. You can't imagine how many times I,ve sent eggs back. But these eggs were perfect. Everything was good and cooked to perfection. The place was clean and comfortable. And so..... I already was looking forward to coming back again. But my next visit wasn't so pleasant. I'll make it short. My daughter and I came back, same waitress, ordered same food and had to wait and wait and wait. And it was so damn cold in there that I was shivering. And I mean shivering. I wanted to leave cause I was freezing and couldn't stop shivering but my daughter talked me into staying by ordering me some hot soup. Only thing was, they didn't have any! So I had hot cocoa, hot watery cocoa. About forty minutes later, the food came out , warm, not hot like the first time. Well, I didn't care if I ever went back there but I did. This place is sad. It was freezing inside. I ordered a special turkey club with avocado, it was in the menu. They brought me a regular club. The fries were also disgusting, like they had been sitting around. When I got the new avocado club this time it didn't have avocado and the fries had obviously been dropped back in the oil. I had to wait for my food while by boyfriend finished his meal. I will not go back. Especially after seeing the Facebook video of the disgruntled employee and what the coolers and kitchen looks like. When we first got in the place was freezing and we had to overhead from a different customer that the heat wasn't working. It was barely 40 degrees out and no one was told this when they arrived and before being seated. I'm pregnant and had my young child with me. We would have went some where else if we had known. Our waitress finally gets to our table and asks if we want drinks but before we can answer she disappears. When we got our food it was either barely warm or just plain cold and everything we had ordered was cooked. All the workers were very nice and had a chill vibe .Once I finished eating I saw one of the cutest employees barely clock in, wish she would've been serving us lmao. Denny's always seems to be a hit or miss experience, but my son and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this location recently. No one greeted us at first, but when we were seated our waitress was very friendly and personable. Our food was the best food I've ever had at any Denny's... Still going to Denny's despite past negative experiences. We like their food and prices, however watch carefully HOW your food is served. I ordered a dish of fresh fruit which came heaped up (great until you notice how it was handled). The waitress had her hand completely over the top of the fruit so much that she wiped her hand off on her shirt.
