In town for one night, looking for dinner; not much open on Tuesday night in November. I stopped in this local dump, sat at the bar, the mixers were in carafe's, on top of bar, keeping warm . I order a miller lite bottle, $4.95 for a 12 ounce bottle of Lite. Then I saw Shaggy carry deep fried what ever it was out of the kitchen. No thanks.....won't be back. read more

Bought a fund raising dinner and was suppose to be chicken parm. Got ziti and 2 meatballs instead, meal was horrific and actually not edible. Bought it to support local team should have just given team the money instead of wasting it once again on a horrible meal from Dana's. Sorry but really one of the worst restaurants. read more

Great service and bartender. Food just adequate we were starving and happy they were serving dinner! But nice casual stop without the fanfare. read more

Dana has a first class restaurant. Her food is amazing and the atmosphere is great. The bar tenders can mix a simple high ball or an exotic apéritif. Come in hungry go home satisfied. read more

Only 4 stars due to I am never happy with there drinks :(. Watterss is always friendly and accommodating. I had Taco salad. Made the way I asked and loved the shell. For a sports bar they have a good menu with specials. I would recommend for a simple dinner. There is plenty of room inside and they have a party room as well. read more

Dana's Time Out - Indinning area - Italian Near Me - Geneva, New York

As a Dana myself, I was all for trying this place out, especially after the place we had intended on checking out for lunch was closed for the month. Very friendly and prompt service, even though the bartender was the only waiter. Food came out quickly, and it was DELICIOUS. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. :-) They also had the salad bar going including meatloaf and mashed potatoes and tortilla soup. I probably would have gone for this, but once I spotted the beer and cheddar soup I needed to try it. Even though there are tons of options in the area for good food, we stopped back for dinner before leaving town. :-) Awesome place. read more

My family and I wanted a good dinner while we watched the season opening NFL game. 6 of us and an infant.. From the moment we walked in, the entire staff went out of their way to accommodate us and made sure we felt comfortable . Food was excellent as well as the service! We will be back!! read more

At Dana's Time Out you have an abundance of amazing food options too choose from, the wide spread menu is great tasting, great in presentation and suits all ages. The service is amazing as always, busy or not owner Dana Newman makes you her number one priority. The overall quality of this bar / restaurant is just excellent, nothing but great things too be said. read more

Stop by here quick for lunch. I'm in Geneva only once in a while, so I'm not sure of all the other local spots. I was given a table that was in a quiet place, which I needed due to a conference call. Very accommodating! The food was really good (Buffalo Chicken Salad). Service was awesome as well. I'll be back soon! read more

Extremely rude. The food was good but I will not be going back due to the service. Sean was blatantly disrespectful, stating "My name is Sean not hey" to me after I politely asked "Hey, excuse me, can I please have a rum and coke?" I couldn't hear his question and he had an extreme attitude when repeating "Single or double?" It is also worth noting that it was a very busy day and I was the only person of color. He did not talk to any of my white co-workers that way, including my white partner. Everyone around me noted the attitude and agreed that there was no need. read more

This meal was not tasty at all. This was the fifth time I've eaten here in order different things each time. Not satisfied. Bartender didn't even care if we were there or not. Nothing great, used to be but not now! read more

Dana's Time Out - Nothing delicious about this - Italian Near Me - Geneva, New York

If cold meatballs in a sub is what you desire this is your place. If little almost nothing cheese is what you want then you can't go wrong. If abusive owners who can't take a critique of their food you will be happy here. read more

My friends and I eat at Dana's Time Out for a couple of years now and the food is excellent, we had Steve who was our waiter that afternoon - excellent service and our steaks were perfect. Service was Excellent and Steve got a 20.00 dollar tip - Great Service. The food is always good here! I have no complaints at all! Very warm place to enjoy a night out.! read more

Dropped in before the crowd. Great place. Clean! Adam the waiter, a joy! Food.. chicken wings, excellent Parmesan chips to live for! BLT with real mayo, YUM shoot burger juicy and filling as it's a 1/2 pounder. Ask for old bay on the FF! Lol read more

Just got back from Dana's Time Out. Which by the way is a weird name. In fact, the place is pretty weird all around. On one side you have the bar, which looks like a dive bar, on the other side you have this very nice, almost upscale looking restaurant with tons of TV's. It's the perfect place for a schizophrenic. So we get seated right away, there wasn't too many people here, and immediately get our drinks. The draft selection, like everywhere else in this town is very skimpy. Perhaps my standards are way too high, since I am from Colorado, but if I feel that that bars (especial sports bars) should have a lot of different microbrews on tap. Perhaps we're just a better class of drunks out in CO, just kiddin, Kind of... So we ordered the Spinach & Artichoke dip appetizer which was good. It came with nachos (I really wish someplace would serve that dip with bread, it tastes better with bread than nachos). Anyways, it came out very fast which was nice. Then I got the roast beef sandwich while the gf went with her normal French Dip sandwich. The Roast Beef sandwich was ok, perhaps a touch over seasoned, but it was good. Though it probably would have been better on a hoagie, instead it came out on a bun which made it much more messy. The french dip was good, though nothing spectacular. The gf had steak fries as her side, and I had the sweet potato fries, which I thought were much better than the steak fries, but I'm not a big fan of steak fries to begin with. Overall the best thing about this place was the service and how quick everything came out. There was little wait time which was nice since we had a lot to do, plus the service was great since they were very attentive to our needs! The food, was average, hence 3 stars... read more

We got sandwiches in the late afternoon and ate at the bar. Clean bar. Clean restrooms. Friendly and good service at bar. A little long to get food considering it was slow but we didn't care as we were watching football at horseshoe-shaped bar. Reuben had "real" corn beef. I thought fries were so-so but my husband thought they were great. Good food. Nothing spectacular. Would recommend. read more

DTO. we were trying to go to the cafe next door, and they were closed so we ended up here and had no regrets. DTO is a bar with pretty good food. I had the flatbread pizza and it was more like a thick pita with lots of spinach cheese dip piled on it - reasonable food, but i dont know if it falls into my pizza category. It's a bar so they had lots of beer on tap and even a hard cider (angry orchard). read more

We were in town looking at a college. It was late and we were tired. We were steered to this location by a hotel person. You walk in and there is a bar on one side and more tables on the other side. Bare wood tabletops-no table cloths. I was not clear in where I wanted to sit. We were there in a Thursday. Looks like a locals hang out with college students coming in for beers. Nice clientele. Not crowded. Attentive staff. Simple menu with the basics. Lots of TVs on the walls. The bar looked nice. The room lacked a certain coziness. Perhaps there were not enough tables to fill the space or there was too much wood all about with no contrasting colors? The place just looked sparse. We are, we paid, we left. read more

The staff was extremely rude. The food was delivered cold or the wrong order was received. When we made the reservation for our group they seemed great. DONT BE FOOLED!!!!! read more

Lobster mac and cheese is imitation crab. Caesar salad was iceberg lettuce and not romaine. Extremely small portion for the spinach and artichoke dip. Disappointing. They quoted me 20 minutes for pickup and I arrived 25 minutes later, only to be told it would be another 10-15 minutes. We ordered an hour before they closed so it seemed like there should've been no problem, and almost like they forgot our order and just gave us what they had with no explanation. Not worth the price! read more

Just called Danas and the woman (not Dana) answered the phone and was very rude. She would not let me talk with anyone else and would not give me her name. I will not recommend this place to anyone. The staff they hire obviously do not have any customer service skills and are rude. read more

Food mediocre. . . Service was terrible. We had a reservation booked months in advance. Food took 2 hours and was not prepared properly.

DTO is a combonation of a dining room with an attached barroom that is much like your typical local watering hole serving basic beer and drinks. This review is about the bar only. Despite the awkward layout of the room, as soon as you sit down at the round bar surrounded by locals and serviced by a friendly bartender you feel very welcomed. This is the kind of place to pop in to, play some Quickdraw, maybe stay for the guitarist on a Friday night, and have a few drinks. We have made it our tradition to take our own time-out here for a much needed shot and a beer after long 6-hour trips from Boston and will continue to do so. read more

Old grease. Overdone wings...got 3 doz... Couldn't even bite into them. Party of 3...Flavorless. Nope , not again

Their wings are amazing!! Love DTO's, great atmosphere. The girl that works there is so nice!

We were looking around Geneva for a place that had a good selection of different types of foods, specifically grilled stuff and offered take out. We ended up getting the Montreal Steak Salad and it was extremely tasty. We went with their sesame ginger dressing and it was an excellent combination. We're definitely interested in trying their other options. We just did take out, but it looked like a very nice sports bar with a good atmosphere and very good food. read more

We just left there. My wrap was amazing but my husband ordered a patty melt. It came cooked on one side, and dogged out on the other, with seven French fries undercooked. When he asked the waitress about it she was so good and took his plate back! The burger was dried out and the fries were undercooked. Too bad because the bartender was amazing and we had high hopes but my husband will never go back! read more

I had high expectations for DTO. It was a beacon of light in a dark world of school dining hall food. The food tasted good, but they got my order wrong sadly. I write this review with much pain from the porcelain throne, hoping others do not suffer my current predicament. read more

We had reservations a month in advance. They overbooked, understaffed. The service was terrible. The waitress was snotty. We waited two hours for our food. Drinks never came to the table. (They tried to charge us for them) Some of the food came out frozen. Asked to talk to the manager and we were told they went out the back door. Again the service was horrible. We were there for the last two years and the it was the total opposite. Don't know what happened this last year but they lost our business. read more

We asked our front desk for a good place to eat and he suggested Dana's time out . Bar on one side and a dinning area on the other . My son wanted a milkshake that wasn't on the menu , but they made one for him anyways .I ordered a 12 oz steak it was a special , my wife had a wrap , my son ordered chicken fingers . The meal was absolutely fantastic . Service , top notch . Price decent . I will go back , next time I'm in town . Don't be afraid to try it . read more

Spence and I had lunch here April 4. I ordered the patty melt with a side salad and Spencer had the blue cheese bacon burger with an appetizer of fried pickles. Spencer's liked his burger and house made chips but the pickles were another story. The menu states that they are deep fried dill pickle chips. What came out were poorly coated dill pickle spears. We were never informed, until the pickles were delivered, that the owner had stopped serving chips and switched to spears several months ago. My patty melt (which I admittedly ordered "medium-well") was like a meat brick and served with red onions. When ordering the salad, which was a $1.89 upcharge from the standard sides (french fries, chips, etc.) I asked if I could just get it myself from the salad bar and was told "no". The salad bar had a number of nice ingredients that would have made my salad a good choice. Well, after telling me that I could not get my own salad, the waitress went to the salad bar and made my salad there. It consisted of a few pieces of iceberg lettuce a spoon of chopped tomato, and some chopped red onion. I am sure that the ingredients for my salad cost much less than regular sides, so why the upcharge? Spence and I have eaten here several times and each time it seems to get worse. Last time we were here, I ordered the Cobb Salad and it came out with everything just thrown together and, to add insult to injury, the hard boiled egg was just that...a whole hard-boiled egg. Spencer ordered the "Hot Brick" burger and the whole thing fell apart when he picked it up.The sad thing is that the the owner was always there, so she has to be aware of what her kitchen is turning out. Anyway, we won't be back. read more
