The staff had to get him from outside and get him to start cooking. He came in and using his bare hands started the orders. I love eating at Denny's so I expected this Denny's to be good as the other Denny's I have been too. I was very wrong. We walked in and didn't get a host until a few mins later. Restaurant had only one other costumer. We sat down for ten minuets without anyone coming to ask for drinks. It was about ten minuets and we were looking up and heard someone say "Stop B-***" (btw these were the workers) And we heard a slap. As soon as we heard this we got up and left. Ridiculous. Made an online order at 10:25am. I was told the order would be ready at 10:45 but it wasn't until 11:05 that I got the order in hand. MY COMPLAINT is that the employees were SUPER SLOW, it felt like they didn't give a care in the world. When my boyfriend asked about his bacon the waiter tried to take the plate to the back and my boyfriend had to literally push it back down. It's Denny's... If you eat there, you're probably wasted after a concert, or an old fogie, eating there for a discount. In my case, it's the former. We went at 1 AM after the Clapton Guitar Fest... it was pretty packed, with a dozen or more waiting to be seated. We had a room across the street so ordered to go, and glad we did so... We had our food, and were out the door, before more than s couple tables were seated. They weren't flipping tables quickly at all. Food was average,....Denny's... I ordered a hot tea, orange juice, and water to go along with my "Berry Vanilla Crepe Breakfast." As described in the menu, the Berry Vanilla Crepe Breakfast consisted of "one crepe folded with vanilla cream and topped with fresh seasonal berries, strawberry sauce and powdered sugar. Served with two eggs*, hash browns, plus two bacon strips or two sausage links. Berry selection based on seasonality." The hash browns tasted burnt. The crepe was hard to cut through. A generally disappointing experience, drastically different from the corporate locations, this franchised Dennys really does not live up the name it serves under. The food isn't cooked to the same degree and quality as other locations, and the clear lack of knowledge and quality of ingredients is apparent. With crispy spinach, undercooked broccoli, unseared and barely cooked salmon and a luke warm presentation, their Salmon Skillet isn't what I expect out of the usual Denny's experience. They also have a penchant for forgetting, switching or not serving orders/changes. Paying was also a hassle and took multiple minutes, and a loud phone call to finally get someone else to help us. Overall, the only thing helping this location is their proximity to the Hilton Anatole, but if they think that a short distance will make up for poor quality, they're truly mistaken. read more

I visited this location on 9/2 late at night and most likely won't return. I ordered chicken strips with a side of mashed potatoes. The waitress wasn't the most attentive waitress and about 5 minutes later she came back and told me they were out of mashed potatoes. I then ordered corn and about 5 minutes later she came back and informed me that the cook told her, "the corn smelled funny". I then settled on broccoli. When my meal arrived, the chicken strips were small and the food didn't even fill up half of the plate it was served on. The broccoli wasn't hot and I could tell it had been frozen. It seemed as if the food was heated in a microwave. The chicken strips were average, but the sauces were very good! The side salad that I ordered was good, but nothing spectacular. Although I understand Denny's isn't a fine dining restaurant and my expectations weren't high, I expected a little bit better service and tastier food than my friend and I received. I've eaten at plenty of Denny's, and this one tasted different. The hash browns tasted like they used a bad oil. Plus, I had some little black and gray ash-like things on my plate. The waitress said, "Oh, that's just some little black things under the grill." and walked away. Plus, the butter on the bread didn't taste like butter, it, too had an off-taste. Ick. The first seat I looked at in the counter was dirty, they didn't bother to clean it up. I took another seat. But, we used that as fuel and decided if Denny's wouldn't cook us Cinnamon Roll Pancakes..then we would. If not us, then who? Waitress with glasses was outside sitting in a car with a guy smoking a cigarette in uniform with the windows up leaving the employee inside all alone with three people waiting for orders to pick up. Very unprofessional to do in view of the customers. Also, extremely disgusting for someone to be doing that and then going back inside to do her job. I'm a smoker and have been in the industry for 10 years. No customer wants to smell my smoke when I hand them their food and/or drinks. Especially the non-smokers who can smell it from a mile away. I placed an order for delivery because I had recent surgery and can't do a lot of moving. The scheduled time for delivery was 20 minutes. After an hour I called the restaurant for an update. The young lady who answered was very condescending and rude when I simply asked if there was a problem with the order. She explained the food had been sitting waiting for pickup and delivery. She explained they have no control over the pickup and delivery process. The store obviously has caller ID because she told me she recognized my name and number for the order without me telling her. It would have been nice if I could have gotten a call from the restaurant to give me some information about the order and the option to cancel the order. While I realize DoorDash seems to be their partner delivery service I'm not upset with DoorDash as much as I am with the service Denny's provided. As soon as I was contacted by the DoorDash driver he explained the employees told him I wanted to cancel my order and while that was true, it further bothers me that they were willing to tell my business to the Dasher than to help me with a fresh order while he was there. Bad customer service. The Dasher was professional and polite with helping me to cancel the order with his corporate office. If I could give this location zero stars I would.
