This was the worst service I've ever received in my LIFE no joke. My servers name (per the receipt) was Kateri C. Upon on arriving I was seated quickly and the place was dead, perfect. She came back over quickly to take my order. Every time I come, I order the EXACT same thing. Grand slam slugger and a side of biscuits and gravy. I ordered the slugger with all bacon instead of a mix of bacon and sausage and then for the coffee that comes with it I asked her to fill it only half full so I can put a bunch of creamer in there. I then ordered my son three silver dollar pancakes with two scrambled eggs. I forgot the biscuits and gravy at first. She took the order and left. She came back with an almost full coffee and says "oops I think I filled it too full." Thinking it was an honest mistake I assured her it was fine and I unhappily sipped on black coffee until I got it to half full like I had originally wanted it. After I finished my coffee and I was still waiting on my food, I realized I forgot to ask for the biscuits and gravy. I'm looking at her, trying to get her attention, waiting for her to come over and nothing. A few moments later a different server came over to drop off our food and as she sets mine and my sons food down, both orders are wrong. My food wasn't all bacon like I asked and my sons food had a bacon and sausage with it and only one egg. What!? That wasn't even close to what I asked for. I let that server know that everything was wrong and asked if I could also order two more things. My biscuits and gravy and a water, but she told me no, she would not take my order, she was leaving but she would let my server know. I thought that was super unprofessional (not a team player I guess) but okay that's fine, yes please let my server know. She did let my server know and she also brought my corrected food over. My server stops by ten minutes later and asked if I was okay. I said yes but I'd like to order a couple more things. She tells me she will come back because she's busy and then gives me a story about how she normally works graveyard so she's not used to this. Okay whatever I'll be patient. I finish my food and it literally took her THIRTY minutes AFTER I finished all my food just for her to even take my simple order. I told her I wanted a water and a side of biscuits and gravy for here, a while later she brings it, and it is NOTHING like what I ordered. For years I've gotten the biscuits and gravy and it's a plate with two biscuits and it's COVERED in gravy. The plate she brought was literally two small bites of biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs and hash browns, which I don't even eat! And let's not mention she put it to go AND forgot my water. I let her know this wasn't what I ordered and she told me she tried to upgrade me to something better for just a few bucks more and while I can appreciate the thought it is NOT what I wanted. I told her I wanted the side of biscuits and gravy like I ordered so she agreed and took it away. When she brings it back for the second time it still had the eggs (didn't want) and still a child size portion of biscuits and gravy (not correct) but she took out the hashbrowns and still charged me the upcharge. I was PISSED. I didn't care anymore took it to go and went to pay. When I went up to the front, the second server who refused to take my order cause she was "leaving" was still there working so that upset me but then the manager comes up to take my payment and when I handed her a 20% off coupon she starts mumbling about how she has to manually do it. THATS YOUR JOB GET IT DONE. I swear I never want to return, I was treated so badly. read more

Woah now! Wait time for the food was over an hour! I get it it's Christmas ! And the workers are required to work. I have a very nice tip for all of the workers. But it's still unacceptable! I will not be going back, service was horrible as we walked thru the door we stood there waiting to be seated a male server come up to us didn't even greet us just pointed at a table and said is that okay. From the time that we sat down to the time he actually took our order 20 minutes had past. He was so rude we asked for straws because he didn't give us any and when we asked for them he just rolled his eyes. LOVE this place. We've always come here for little family get togethers. If we can't ever decide what we'd like to eat, we always come here. Food is always great, service is always superb, and they've even remodeled the place to look a little more modern. My favorite is the grand slam with blueberry pancakes! Hey, it's Denny's so high expectations are bound to be foiled. But, still the hands down best hamburger (the meat patty is always perfectly cooked in seasoned juicy goodness) and decent cheap kids meals anywhere around as far as I'm concerned.(Kids eat free five days a week) Excellent prices and good service. Me and my 6 to boy fed, full, happy for under 12.00 minus gratuity. Now if they could only get that cigarette stinch and pale yellow decor and weak flourescent lighting to change in all the Denny's restaurants u would easily have a four star experience. read more

Absolutely the worst Dennys I've ever been to. I'm pretty sure the host was strung out. He started off the night with talking crap about the other ppl working. There were only 3 table of ppl there & somehow our food was cold when we got it. Very disappointed. That place needs to be condemned. zero professionalism. I went in and ate at your establishment last night and my waiter Kelli was the only server on with a manager cooking and no cook. Serviced was polite but in the middle of our dinner she got reprimanded and started to cry. The management here is below par and I will never be back. Mmmm mmm mmm I always try something new when I go here but my all time fav is the all you can eat pancakes. I never go wrong with those. Staff is always friendly and Managment is on their game. There was a few times the order took a little longer then usual, but it was pretty busy at the time, and my drink was always topped off during that time. Meh. I go to the local college and tend to have one class in the morning and one in the evening. Often I grab something to eat after class. Denny's is my "I think I want something more than a McDonalds Sausage Biscuit" and I have time to kill place. I usually get the grand slam where you can pick four items for 6.79 (7.31 w/ tax.) The waitresses are friendly. But they definitely try and rush you out. Usually in restaurants you ASK for your check. 40% done with my meal at this place and all of a sudden there's a check in front of me. I've been here multiple times and they ALWAYS do it. I always tip. Maybe it's because I always add the tip to my credit card? Regardless, I don't care if it's Denny's, service is service and I feel like they most definitely need to improve here. Also, I NEVER get a drink here because my go-to is coffee and here they charge you $2.09 for a steaming cup of poison. Seriously, what's in that shit? Dark matter! Anyway, the food is okay. Enough to go back, but nothing spectacular. Would I go here for a birthday breakfast, hell no. But the $7.31 is only around 3-4 bucks more than I'd spend at McDonald's to get better, cooked food, and an actual sit down meal. read more

Horrible experience from begging to end! If your looking for a late night dinner or something 24hrs go to the casinos! Came in with somewhat of a lrg group.. There were 8 of us. Took them about 10mins to figure out how/where to seat us.. Olivia was our server she was pleasant BUT she could not figure out what she was doing. Took her 3 trips for our drinks because she kept forgetting 2 waters that were order every time she would come to the table she would bring another ketchup or just walk around looking around until someone would bring up the waters. .. there is nothing worse than watching your food sit under the heat lamp while the serves stand in front of it chit chatting. After watching for 8 mins she finally brought over our food. Fries were cold and the bread on the burgers were so soggy the buns were falling apart... Asked for A1 it was empty.. Asked for ranch 2 times until it was brought over. . Got tired of asking for syrup so I walked up and grabbed it myself.. she saw me & said she was sorry.. at this point it was pathetic! The burger was redone & new fries were brought out there was a credit given for the burger after we suggested that should be done.. we did a survey & asked the cashier where we placed it she said to give it to her, as we walked out all 3 servers walked over to her & began to read & gossip about it. All in all, not just because you throw some new paint on the walls & redecorate means the business will do better if the servers continue with this service! I came in to eat today with my boyfriend. Our server was Italia. She came to our table, just to say she would be right back. She went to the table next to us, then when she came back she said "I had to go get my money from my regulars." She brought us our drinks, and we had a decent wait time before our food cane out. She came out with half of my order, told.me.it would be right up, but about 10 minutes passed before I got the rest. I ordered the Double berry pancake breakfast, which comes with eggs and hash browns. It looked like one side if my scrambled eggs was cooked, while the other side was still rather runny. The hash browns were terrible. I was only able to eat a few bites from the incredibly burnt and old hash browns. It looked like the cooks cooked them too much, then threw old hash browns on top. They were pretty much inedible. The pancakes were a little tough and over cooked. I wasn't at all amused when she told us her regulars needed to give her a tip before taking our order. It wasn't great customer service skills and it was a little rude. I Also came in about a month ago, and Theron was my server. The entire time, she hassled us about writing a review on yelp in order to get a coupon for free food. All she cared about was getting a review written online. We asked several times for refills and condiments, and every time she came back to the table, it was "Did you post the review? My manager can't find it, what is your email? Are you sure you picked the right location?" It was horrible. My boyfriend and I were not able to enjoy our breakfast because we were so pressured to do a review on here. She was terrible. I will never sit with her again; I'm not sure if I will ever come back. This location in particular has no customer service skills, their attention to their tables and guests' needs is way below standard, and the food is getting worse and worse. I do not recommend coming in to eat here. I rated this one star for customer service. read more

With all the fancy coffee establishments around I find I prefer Denny's coffee. Always hot and tasty. They did a remodel and it looks good - a needed update. I enjoy getting a cup of coffee and unwinding. Nice staff, new management and numerous new menu items so overall its a nice place to get away. read more

Denny's has been around for as long as I can remember. The reason for that is they always have good food, good service, and fair prices. I would recommend Denny's to anyone that is looking for a good diner. read more

Dennys has very good foid for that is fairly priced. Their staff is friendly and Cheerful. Shari is an excellent waitress, funny and engaging. Many of the items on the menu are gluten free and a coded system, with calories listed, allow dieters to easily pick and choose. read more

The food was good but within 45 mins I starting with diarrea and vomiting I came home and have a fever.

I went here on Thursday not to get some dessert with my family. When the desserts we ordered arrived they looked horrible. I had ordered the apple crisp and there was a very tiny amount in the bowl with this huge chunk, not scoop, of ice cream. My daughter ordered the same thing and she had a huge chunk of apple crisp and this tiny dallop of ice cream. I have ordered this many times before and never had such a tiny serving. My sister and her fiance had ordered banana splits and there scoops looked like they used a teaspoon to scoop out there ice cream. My brother in law was totally missing the vanilla scoop. We called the waitress over and to me she said thats the serving size you get to which I replied well then why is my daughters twice the size as mine? Her reply was oh well do u want apple pie?? If I wanted that I would of ordered that.. when my brother and sister asked about there desserts her reply was oh well I was having a hard time scooping the ice cream.. We ended up telling the waitress we were just going to leave. I can now see why there was really nobody there when we arrived. Horrible service, even worse customer service. read more

well for starters, our waiter ( the one that used to work at Walmart) was sweating profusely as she took our order and when she brought us our food. used to be kids were free on Tuesday I guess just that day they were not ,in the end as we paid for the food with our debit card we were asked did we leave a tip on the table? thought that was kinda rude. Sad and puzzled to see so many negative reviews. Having been coming here for two years, I can say that this is simply the best Dennys I know, and I have been to many all over the country. Main reason? The friendliness of the staff. Genuine friendliness. They banter with each other and the customers (while remaining faultlessly professional), and honestly seem to enjoy working there. This counts for a lot in my book. This kind of job is not well paid and hard work and often this means sullen service. Not here though. Maybe it's something in the water : Carson City is an unusually friendly town anyway. And the food? It's fine. Above average for a Dennys. By the nature of the formulaic way in which food is prepared in such places, there really can't be much variation from restaurant to restaurant. Here you can watch the cooks if you sit at the counter, and they too seem to be always cheerful. If anything is wrong (not usually), or even if one is just fussy, they fix things quickly.
