Independently-owned location right off the freeway in Burley, Idaho. Stopped by on our way back from Utah and decided to get a bite. Very well maintained with cute decorations and art showcasing the local history. My 5-stars go out to Britney, who was attentive and friendly. She was by herself today and running the whole show. There was a lunch crowd of locals, families and people stopping by just to take a rest. She took care of us, bussed tables and cashed us out. Our food was tasty, my burger and egg cooked as asked and my fries were crispy too! Wavy fries, my first time eating this style! And aptly so here in Burley, home to one of the biggest french fry producers in North America!! We'll add this as another stop whenever we pass through. read more

The server was nice and that is all I can say about this place. The resteraunt is filthy. The whole place is cluttered and dirty. The staff clothes all looked terrible. When we got our coffee, dirty cups. The food not so good. I just can't go back. read more

It's been many decades since eating at Denny's. always been very disappointing, and this one lived DOWN to that label. The hostess was nice, as was the waitress. That's the only reason I give it two stars. Ordered the fruit stuffed French toast. That part was OK, but the eggs--ordered Over-easy--were hard fried; and I do mean HARD. The menu said "two bacon, and two sausage," got only the sausage. When I was done, I went in to the men's room and immediately turned around; disgusting was the word. Maybe another 30 or 40 years I'll give it another try. read more

Walked in and immediately felt unwelcomed by the waitress, then when she took my order the food took a while to come out(it happens) i ordered a medium rare sirloin and out comes a tbone, i tell her i wanted the sirloin and she suggested to keep the tbone and pay the price of a sirloin i said no thank you, waited about 10 minutes for my steak to come out and it was overcooked like medium well, she clearly wasn't paying attention nor cared.. at the end she offered me to speak to her manager and i declined because I will not return. read more

I got boiled water with the essence of coffee. Sad excuse of a coffee. The iced coffee was just as bad. It smells like sewer inside. Couldn't tell if I was at Dennys or if I had walked into a retirement home. The men's urinal is backed up. The men's bathroom also smells like mold. Speaking of mold, the toast I got had mold on it. Health inspection should take a gander at the place. The service was decent. It used to be a lot better. Sad to see the decline. read more

Where to begin? 15 minutes to be seated or even greeted. Half of the seating was closed and filthy dirty. The people in front of us even left because of the wait. Order wasn't taken for 30 minutes; no drinks, just ignored. Order was not written down, but done by memory (for a party of 5 .) Another long wait for the food. One order was incorrect; fixed it. Another order was incorrect, sent back only to be returned wrong yet again. Food quality very poor; bread not toasted, hash browns cold. No drink refills at all. Water was never even brought to the table. Seats were torn. The check was not brought. The 2 servers were arguing with a busboy about money left on a table. He was arguing that it should be shared with him. I had to interrupt the argument just to get a check. No management or oversight of the whole process; this is a poorly run restaurant all the way around. Seriously, do not waste your money. read more

Thought we'd give Denny's another chance. Our mistake. Ordered drinks when we got there. Didn't get them till after we got our meal. Ordered a breakfast that came with toast. Never got my toast. The waitress never checked back and I wasn't able to get her attention. Finally got the hostess's attention and mentioned it. By then I was done with my meal. What's the point? No refills in coffee or soda. Definitely won't go back. Brag about how they are under new management- give us a try. We did. You failed yet again. Yes, restaurant is decorated very cute and tastefully- too bad the service is unacceptable. read more

Went to go there today pulled into a parking lot with practically no vehicles. Walked in stood there for 10-15 mins at front with no assistance then after looking around and finding server was told that it was a 20 minute wait to be seated. Looked around there was only 2 tables with people eating one side of the restaurant not even being used... stopped going here years ago cuz the service was getting horrible decided to give it a try will not go back.. would be better to just shut location down and get something that has better service... read more

Giving it 2 stars for our waitress/Hostess/ everything (she did a good job), we kind of had a feeling after looking at reviews on Yelp & Google, we wanted a sit down dinner and was wanting breakfast and Dennys being a 24/7 restaurant had always had a decent breakfast. Like we said, the girl who was acting as a hostess/server did a good job, but whoever was cooking they obviously don't care about how the food looks or comes out, the bacon wasn't even cooked all the way, and then my boy's birthday pancake look like somebody smeared some sort of cream all over the top of it. The presentation of the food was just blah, and my wife's hashbrowns weren't even cooked all the way. And our one boy had mac & cheese, and that wasn't even very tasty very dry, now we see why this place doesn't have very good ratings. We were the only ones in there and that Should've been our tall tail sign. You can find better than this, very sad that Denny's has gone downhill. read more

went in to the front with no one to assist you waited for a good 8-10 to get someone to assist me. then asked me what my order is and I told them I needed time and then waited for a whole 30 min and she never came back to take my order. May 1, 2025 4pm-ish. Almost no one there. Waitress was also the receptionist. Nice lady, forgot to get her name. Wife and I both had the salmon, hers with corn and salad, mine with red potatoes and salad. My goodness, that salmon was seasoned so good, tasted great, mouth watering. I could have sat and made 2 or 3 more orders just for the fish but that would not have been good. Still had 100 miles to go to the hotel in Pocatello. This was day 7 of 19 on a 5000 mile road trip. So we are about 1200 miles into it and this was the best meal we have had so far. read more

We order, our waitress disappears, we watch people at other tables sending food back to the kitchen. Along with other customers, we wait and wait and wait. Our food comes out at different times, put on the table by someone obviously not wanting to work our table. The side dishes are wrong or missing. People are standing at the door, waiting to be seated, and no one is seating them. We finally get the heck out of there. The next day, I have food poisoning that lasts three days and ruins my vacation. I report what happened to the proper Idaho authorities. You have got to be kidding me about this place. read more

Seated. Coffee, hot chocolate and water. Sat in restaurant 35 minutes. No waitress. No order. Smoke from burnt toast filing the air. Starving but can't wait any longer. That will be $8 and "thanks for coming in." Never again. read more

Food portions were minimal at best compared to past visits. The service was poor and the girls had air pods in their ears and were more concerned about talking than doing the service. Great food and great atmosphere. Service was great. Will definitely be coming back to this location!

Thought we would try it now again, against our better judgment. (We heard it was under new management.) Filthy dining area - debris on floor, no attempt to clean while we were there. Waiter possibly new - hard to understand - he kept busy, but not with customer service. He never even checked back with us once after the food was delivered. We had to call him over just to get the check. My food was prepared incorrectly but, as the server never returned, I had no option to have it corrected. Cinnamon roll pancakes were delicious. Wavy fries very good. Waited quite some time to pay at the counter, and employee was rude. No name tag. She did ask how things were, and I said, "Meh, ok I guess." No response, no conversation. Overall, we left feeling unwelcome and unsatisfied with cleanliness, service and order accuracy. read more

I wish I would have taken a picture of our food, it was ridiculous. Or should I say the food that we got, since we didn't get it all. The location we went to was later in the evening and was not busy at all. The manager or so called manager because I don't know how he got that job, acted like he didn't care and like he was just there to collect a paycheck. Dirty tables that he walked by continuously. Food sitting in the window forever! Our food came out one plate at a time every 3-5 minutes. Hash browns looked like had sat on the griddle all day, eggs looked less then edible. Like they were taken from someone else's plate. Waitress never brought syrup for pancakes until we finally tracked her down and asked. I ordered moons over my hammy and one side had literally a quarter sized piece of ham in it and the other side had one slice of ham. My mother ordered an omelet which she never received. When we complained to the waitress she went and got the manager. He never once said oh let me fix this for you or anything. He just made excuses that he went back to see if the cook needed help and he seemed fine, and that he would talk to the cook. Never offered to fix it or anything cause he could care less. We ended up leaving. That's four plates of food, four customers that were dissatisfied, and made our dinner even later having to go elsewhere. I haven't been to a Dennys in awhile now, and I don't remember it ever being this terrible! read more

Good god, what in the world. I have been to hundreds if not thousands of Denny's and I do not appreciate the Burley location's mockery of this amazing establishment. Want your food? Best be prepared to wait an hour. Want ice in your water? Leave that desire in the PAST. The only thing cold in this establishment is the food and the attitudes of the servers. Can only imagine how disappointed Denny would be if he were still with us today. Horrible. read more

Only giving one star because I couldn't do less. First the waitress was clearly on something. And she felt that talking to her friends at the bar was more important then customers. We sat close to the kitchen and heard two cooks talking crap about customers. The chicken fried steak literally tasted like battered cardboard, and the kids spaghetti was so bad that my kid threw up after two bites. I would not recommend this location if you are looking for a meal at night. read more

The place was clean and the coffee good. That said the service was slow. Also the 'skillet meal' was so hot it burned my tongue and even after waiting 15 minutes was too hot to eat. By the time I could comfortably eat my toast and eggs were cold. I felt ignored as my waiter asked other tables how they were and if they needed anything. All in all, I will probably eat here again as there isn't any choices here. But I will know that while the food is edible, it's nothing to write home about.(That's 'instagramable' to the Millennials) read more

Really disappointed in management. Received a core and end of romaine lettuce in my salad. I brought to her an she said " you don't like your salad like that?" Really? It really wasn't the best experience. I was with my mom and aunt. My mom got an omelet. It was supposed to have green peppers, mushrooms, and onions. It had tomatoes and cheese.? I got the fit slam, but I had asked for dry wheat toast. They didn't do that. It was corrected. The fruit was only melons. Not terrible, but not what I expected. My aunt got biscuits and gravy. The gravy was very sweet, she didn't care for it, but she ate it, maybe a personal preference deal. They did not refill coffee. Like we had to get someone to fill the coffee. I don't think I would recommend coming here. read more

I've given this place multiple benefits of the doubt but I've been disappointed every single time I've come to this place. My most recent visit was frustrating because our server seemed more interested in flirting with her coworker than tending to her responsibilities. We had to ask for drink refills multiple times even though she wasn't busy. The food wasn't good, either. Soggy, under-cooked French toast and pancakes, and the eggs were burnt. Then, while checking out, the young man (who seemed to be training our waitress) was telling her about how the lowest tip he got that day was $9. Not professional. The only good thing I can say about this visit was that the restaurant seemed clean (it hasn't always been when we've visited other times) and it was quiet. Save yourself from disappointment and don't come here. There are other diners in town that care more about customer service than Denny's does. read more

Ah Denny's, a church for the lost, the temple of the weary, dusty, travelers of this nation. One doesn't stop at Denny's, one finds themselves at Denny's. I found myself at this particular location after a long night on the winding asphalt roads of the American West, the glowing golden lights of Denny's serving as a lure, pulling me into the parking lot and out of my car. Something ancient exists in Denny's, a long dead god perhaps, or a primal and wicked spirit. A comfortable sense of fear permeates the air, and every bite of slightly warm pancake. I ate my meal and left, and just like that it was over, I was outside again, but it was morning now, I thought "no this can't be right I was only there about 45 minutes" but according to my watch I had been there nine hours. Now dearest reader I beg of you the answer to my query, what is Denny's? And what resides there? read more
