Pros- easy parking, clean restrooms, restaurant was clean too, super friendly staff. We arrived before closing and everyone was very nice. We never felt rushed. Tasty dinner was well-prepared & plated. Refills offered with a smile. Decent prices. Huge selection of pies, etc. . Cons- ice tea not great, perhaps old brew or need to clean urn. Server dripped soda on table, never offered to clean. Tarter sauce is a weird choice with garlic-grilled fish & shrimp. No offer for dessert. . Yes, I would return. read more

Perkins Restaurant & Bakery - Grilled Fish & Shrimp dinner - American Near Me - Burley, Idaho

It was a subpar meal. I preface my remarks with the fact that I spent several years as a short-order cook, so my expectations for breakfast are pretty high. The sausage links were undercooked. The bacon tasted like it was fried hours before they put it on my plate. My pancakes were covered with small black flecks which tells me the grill wasn't cleaned off before the batter was poured onto the grill. The hash browns weren't fresh. They had spent too much time on the side of the grill to keep them warm which dried them out. The eggs, well they were about a minute or two short of being medium. read more

They offer Perkins 55+ Menu. The meals that we selected were delicious, reasonably priced and sized right for seniors. I ordered the Butterball Turkey & Dressing. Oven roasted, sage dressing, turkey gravy, ooooops, she forgot the cranberry sauce! Rice herb pilaf and buttered corn. I'm saving half for another meal. Hubby ordered the Country fried steak, top with country style cream gravy, and garden salad. Hubby ate everything on his plate! Emma, our waitress also gave us a complimentary dessert. We picked Chocolate Overload Cake. Thanks, Emma! Service was friendly but spotty. Restrooms were very nice & clean. read more

Ordered the Tremendous 12 with over easy eggs & tots. If there's a Perkins restaurant in the area where I'm at, I always try to go and have something to eat. I really like their breakfast and it's fairly reasonable. read more

Extremely Over Priced!!! $20.00 for a coffee and Eggs Benedict with little sauce, a small portion of hash browns, and it didn't even come with toast. The Service was friendly, though! It's winter now and the restaurant was cold! Never going back! read more

While the food was delicious, we waited an hour and twenty minutes for our food. We sat down at 1:47 PM and didn't get our food until 3:08 PM. Very disappointed in the speed of service and the inattention by the waitresses to keep our drinks filled while waiting. There were 8 other parties there, the largest being 4 people, I do not understand why there was such a long wait. We were not offered anything while we were waiting or a free dessert (which I think is very fair for the wait). It was my first time there and probably last time there sadly. read more

Upon entering the restaurant, there is no one to greet/seat you. Prepare to wait several minutes, and I DO mean SEVERAL. People hovered at the cashier station waiting to be seated and there were several people waiting to pay their bill after their meal. We reviewed the menu then ordered drinks and our meals. I specifically asked for ketchup while ordering my meal as I hate having my food delivered and have it become cold while waiting for the server to circle back. It took over an hour to receive our meal. Once the food was placed on the table the server, Tiffany, asked if we needed anything else. I looked at my plate only to see fry sauce with my meal. I removed the fry sauce from my plate, placed it on the table and said, "I specifically asked for ketchup with my meal, NOT fry sauce. And we have no eating utensils or napkins." She turned on her heel, returned shortly and literally SLAMMED the ketchup bottle on the table while stating snottily, "For your information, your meal COMES with fry sauce, not ketchup, and the napkins COME with the utensils!! And YOU might work on your attitude!" She then slammed our bill on the table, then stormed off never to be seen again. We never did get our drinks refilled, nor additional napkins that were needed. Nor were we asked if we wanted to order dessert. We paid our bill and returned to the car that was parked just outside the restaurant. I sat there watching through the window. The cashier must've told Tiffany that the coast was clear as Tiffany popped her head out of the kitchen doorway and scanned the restaurant looking for us. Coward. Tiffany seems to be costing Perkins money with her arrogant attitude and her blatant lack of customer service. They will get no repeat business from me! I suggest you choose somewhere else to dine also. read more

I read lots of reviews mentioning poor service. Our service was just fine. We had fish and chips, which was good. The Santa Fe salad was also good. read more

My wife and family have been to this spot for breakfast and dinner for years now. Yes this is a nationwide chain. But don't let that fool you. This food, is very good food. If you can't find something to enjoy, shame on you. The service has always been excellent. Some of the waitresses come and go, but it has never been horrible. Brought the wife for breakfast on Christmas Eve and enjoyed it. She got the Eggs Benedict with Avocado, and I got the tremendous twelve with an extra side of bacon with no pancakes. The food was good and filled us up. We have had their pies and muffins, and those are all delicious as well. I recommend highly. read more

The staff is awesome but the food is bland at best and that's me putting it kindly; If you prefer comfort food save yourself money and a trip and cook from home the ambience and atmosphere is fantastic though 10/10 of any restaurants in town! But the food....no I think I'll pass. read more

Everything was great at this restaurant. The service was very good. Keisha was our server, she was nice and efficient. The food was really really good. Emma checked us out and she was also super nice. I highly recommend this restaurant! read more

I wish I could put no stars but that isn't an option... It's April 2021 and Perkins has gone DOWN HILL. From the moment I walked in an older lady said to me, "It's terrible service and I wouldn't even bother." I thought it was actually rude and thought id still give it a chance.. I wish I didn't. The food was ROCK HARD. Eggs and Crepes were so cold. I almost wanted to throw up. My daughters food was fine, however- it just made me sick. We didn't get straws, or anyone to check on us after giving us the food. I had to get up and ask for the bill after 30 min of waiting. I used to like this place but sadly I'll never go back. She said "Sorry I tried to give you a discount on your meal but it won't let me, oops." I had to pay full price for food I had one bite out of. 10.00 down the drain for my meal. Just don't waste your time. read more

I will admit they were busy. But I ordered turkey and dressing. My green beans were dried out and looked like they were days old. The turkey had been microwaved so much I could not cut it. What they called dressing was dry and hard and cold. I could have broken a window with a "dressing ball". Nothing on my plate was even warm and we waited a long time to get food. It should have taken a picture of the food to show how bad it was but I did not have my phone. I can't believe someone felt it was ok to send that out of a kitchen. I ask them to bring me what my husband ordered. Almost 30 minutes later a burger arrived and wasn't the same as he had (it was dry). So I gave up on eating. We also had trouble getting tea refills. A horrible experience- it was my first time to try a Perkins and will be the last. read more

Consistently good food and service when we come to Perkins! My kids will actually eat things here, and they're extremely picky. The bathrooms were also very clean. read more

The Perkins are all over, but the last time I was ever in one was back when I lived in New Jersey. They don't have them in Texas. The only comparison I can give of this place is that it is on par with an IHOP or a Denny's. Same type of place and the quality of the food is basically the same. Not bad, not great, but decent. I ended up having two meals here. Dinner and breakfast. Dinner was a turkey special. Sliced turkey breast, gravy, cranberry sauce and stuffing with two sides (baked potato and broccoli) It was ok. The broccoli was a little overdone and the potato could have been hotter but the food was ok. My server was a little frazzled and some of the orders at the other tables were getting mixed up, but I got everything ok and she "table-touched" a number of times. Breakfast was brioche french toast with eggs and bacon (plus and extra side of bacon) Can one ever get enough bacon? I think not. The french toast was melt in the mouth good. I will say that was the best part of both meals I had there. The eggs were good but the bacon could have been a little crispier. The service was fine and she did everything well. Perkins is not a place I'd go out of my way for, but with the limited selection in the area, it did just fine. read more

They served a pretty good breakfast twice in a row! I had American standard with bacon. The pancake it came with was huge. I don't personally care that much for pancakes but it was a good pancake! Friendly staff. Convenient place to get a bite to eat! read more

Food was absolutely terrible! Ordered medium rare prime rib and it was well done. The place was a mess with only one waitress.

Tables were all dirty. No one at front counter. People waiting to pay, as usual. Just a bunch of teenyboppers as crew. Waited 7 minutes. No one came to help us. We were just about to walk out when a waitress (Kassandra) from another section came and took our order. Need to get your crap together, Perkins. Have adults to supervise. They'd be working not goofing off. Shortly after adding this review one of the waitresses was yelling at another waitress right here in front of us. People were, again, waiting to pay. The waitress who was yelling came out, looked straight at these people, turned around and went to the back. Those people waited another 5 minutes to pay. Kassandra helped them. Kassandra was amazing- she was doing everyone's job. Literally. read more

Clean and very nicely kept. About 1/3 to 1/4 full each time we went so seating was quick with service right away. Waitresses we're attentive with service with a smile. We arrived at about 9:25. It was neither crowded nor busy. We waited over 20 minutes before we were even acknowledged and seated. It was another 15 minutes til a waitress came over to take our order. It took another 15 minutes for the food to hit the table, which I would consider reasonable. Additionally, the food was just basic and below average. All in all , it was not a good dining experience, and I cannot recommend this place, unless you like being ignored read more

Worst service I have ever encountered in a Restaurant. The food is fine, but came out wrong both times and the server's excuse was "we didn't want to keep you waiting any longer to make it right." Nope. Wouldn't go here again. Service was poor. We stopped by after the lunch rush (maybe 1PM-ish), and after being seated, waited at good 15-20 minutes for someone to come by to take our order. Food quality was just so-so. About what you might expect for a Perkins, but certainly no more. read more

On a positive note, they have great pie although i think they are bought and brought in frozen. The roast beef was mush. By mush i mean it was as though it had been put through a food processor for an elderly person who is unable to chew. The beef gravy was way too salty and the mashed potatoes were obviously reheated and crusty/crunchy. The asparagus was burned black on one side. I dont mean grill marks, i mean laid on a flat top grill and allowed to stay on one side until it was burned black along 50% (one whole side) of the entire surface area of the stem. Besides this it was over cooked in that it was grilled to mush with no crunch of any sort. Luckily, i ate in the bar area and not in the actual restaurant so i had quick access to Vodka, and this meal needed Vodka or the taste buds of a toothless 90 year old. But its Perkins so what can you expect. Fire the cook and get someone who has a bloody clue.!! read more

This place had the best breakfast burger I have ever had photo on the menu looked just like how it came out which was amazing!!

Have eaten here twice in the last month, and it's been an ok experience both times. As with most chain restaurants like Perkins, the food is always the same no matter where you go, well, that is as long as the cook knows how to cook :-) Service was not too bad either time. read more

I made a quick stop for a BLT to go. Our waitress was courteous, friendly and thorough, even though I was only going to be there a few minutes. I wish I'd caught her name so I could give her a shoutout. She has very long brown hair and long lashes. We had a nice conversation at the register about our pets' separation anxiety, which I'd explained was why I needed my order to go. The BLT was exactly what the doctor ordered and I appreciated the option of tots over fries. Clean, quiet restaurant. Overall excellent experience. read more

Buyer beware: This place has some serious money handling issues with their servers. I gave Perkins management the opportunity to respond to our issues described below, and after 48 hours, no one has replied. My family stayed at the Burley Inn for three nights. We ate at the restaurant twice. The first time, the server never brought our credit card back after 30+ minutes. We had to go retrieve it. I wonder what her plans were for keeping the card and putting it in the hotel safe? The second time, we attempted to avoid the credit card issue and gave a different server our payment in cash. She left the table with $46 (two 20s and six 1s). A few moments later she came back saying she needed more money and showed us $23. We said that three of us saw her walk away with the $46 and she needed to go find it. She wandered around and came back to the table. She refused to compromise or believe us. We gave her the credit card and paid full price but left no (more) tip. The food is mediocre. The service is average. The money handling is borderline fraudulent. Go somewhere else and you will avoid potentially being scammed. read more

I ordered roast beef stroganoff. What I got was not stroganoff but I don't know what I would call it. The noodles were very overcooked and had a small amount of sauce that did not have any taste of sour cream. It was all stuck together in one blob. It was totally covered in onions, then a small amount of roast beef that had no sauce on it. This was drizzled with a bit of sour cream. I ate the beef, it was good but didn't have any sauce on it. I left the clump of over cooked dry noodles and most of the onions that was not cooked in the little bit of sauce but just piled on top. read more

A restaurant that's never had a pick up order before? I tried to call in an order an the woman seemed not only annoyed but very confused as she asked me "for how many?" when I asked to place an order. After I was told one of the items was out of stock I said I was fine with just the one item which was followed up with a "that's all?" as if she was very much put out by this request. I then show up to pick up my ONE item and they claim the ticket didn't print so the order was not ready. I tried to add on a muffin after asking which flavors were available and after the woman checked she said the flavor was available - when I go to check out that muffin wasn't available and then a couple of minutes later it was?
