The service and food are great at Stevoes! We have been going there since they opened way back when. There is one big problem though, their booths! They have had the same ones they opened up with back in 1995! It's time to upgrade their seating! I don't know if my rear can face going there much longer. Two of my favorite choices are 1: the grilled chicken salad I always get extra onions, cucumbers, tomatoes it's always served with a slice of homemade sourdough wheat bread, and topped with the best homemade dill dressing. 2: the Stevo's's burger with pepper jack cheese served with fresh cut steak fries along with some spicy fry sauce to dip your fries in. Came here based on a recommendation from a local. The fries were tasty. We got both the steak fries and the classic fries. They have a spicy fry sauce and a traditional fry sauce which I thought was a nice touch. I ordered the 2/3 lb burger and it was very big but overcooked. It was so dry I had to wash every bite down with water. I would come back, but wouldn't order a burger. read more

If ya like yourself some taters this is the place to go. Not only do they have taters they have some good burgers and steaks. The service is also amazing. My only recommendation would be to make sure you verify what kind of cheese they are going to use. The first tame I was there I discovered they put nacho cheese on the baked taters and I just prefer the regular cheddar. You just have to ask them so they can make it the way you like it! read more

Stevo's is definitely a local favorite but if you are from Southeast Idaho, I'm sure you have heard of it. It has an authentic western charm about it. The ambiance is no frills, but comfortable and homey. The service is friendly, but if it's busy, you'll have to wait longer than usual to get noticed. However, once you've been attended to, you'll be in the rhythm. Now, they are known for their burgers and fries, but my party had fresh trout, fish and chips and steak sandwiches. I had the Shrimp and chips. All of it was awesome! I was expecting the traditional restaurant style Shrimp, but was I was shocked. You get 6 very large and lightly breaded shrimp that were cooked to perfection! If you just want to relax and have fun, and tasty, meal, Stevo's is the place! read more

We were staying at an Airbnb close by & they had recommended it. We loved everything about it- our server, Luz, was terrific & we enjoyed sitting out on their patio especially with the live music! On top of all this, the food was delicious!! The Stevo's Baked Potato was so good- basically it was a steak & potato dinner all on a baked potato even though it was so much more (see photo). My daughter ordered a jalapeño burger & fries. She had a choice between regular or steak fries and since she couldn't decide, our server brought her both. Had the summer burger and steak fries. They were great and perfectly cooked. They also have Dos Equis Amber which is my favorite and a hard to find beer in restaurants. I didn't get a picture of my burger it was too good and I was hungry. Live music outside is great too. read more

Cute place, very nice over worked servers, the cooks are trying their absolute best to get the food out quickly but their seating capacity is way over their ability to cook and serve a quality meal. Suggestion Baskets of fries or chips and salsa for waiting guests. Slow the oil on the griddle as it's making very greasy veggies for the spuds. Fries should be hot. Serve children first and really try to get the whole group served at the same time. Maybe have one person adding checks for the servers so they can give bills quickly. Best of luck, I know you are a locals favorite place but you need to see where you can tweak the process a bit. read more

Fantastic place with great food. I arrived not knowing what to order. One of the patrons suggested the cheesy fries and it did not disappoint. Steak fries that were cut and cooked to perfection, covered in cheese, steak, onions, bacon, and jalapeños. Stevos is the best restaurant in the area. 5 stars for consistency in great food and service. The ambiance is nice and homey. The only item on the menu I wouldn't order is a burger. I haven't had one that I thought was worth skipping another menu item for. Some of my favorites include the steak sandwich, fish and chips, and the pasta marinara. Most of all the cheesy fries and steak. I add grilled onions and then grilled jalapeños (always on the side because they can be awful hot sometimes) and then a side of house dressing. If there was one restaurant "secret recipe" that I would pay for it would be their house dressing; a great dip for fries and the sourdough toast. A side of steak fries will not disappoint with delicious seasoning and an amount that will please. The only thing that can be a pain is the size of the restaurant. It is small, especially in winter without the patio seating. For locals and visitors alike this place is popular, wait times can be extreme. I am interested to see if the new Kimberly location eases some of the traffic at this location. read more

I loved the outdoor seating and patio, but we had to move inside when it started raining. The meal started with a garden salad and homemade ranch which was fresh and delicious. My daughter loved her trout dinner. I wasn't as impressed with my New York strip which was bland and had a lot of fat. It also wasn't cooked the way I asked. I wish I had just had the trout too because I liked how it was seasoned- although it was a little dry. The baked potato was okay. It's been a couple road trips since we stopped for Steveo's spuds. They were definitely the best potatoes we tried on our Idaho adventure. The salmon burger was a point of disappointment, and the cause for a 2-hour debate over 3 or 4 stars. Since I didn't order it and I write the reviews, it's 4-stars because of my truly 5-star veggie spud. Totally get the alfredo sauce and sauteed mushrooms offered as options at additional charge, because they made this spud next-level. The Idaho nachos, those disk-shaped, self-centered, slightly crispy "fries" were a potato preparation we're not used to. The queso and pickled jalapeno were spicier than we expected for Idaho, but not something that would win commendation at the state fair back home in NM. Still, a solid selection for fusion cuisine. We're take-out only types, so I can't comment on the atmosphere, but it was certainly hopping, and seemed the place to immerse in local flavor. If we were local, we'd definitely be back, but definitely not for the salmon burger. read more
