I don't normally write reviews but unfortunately I had to, I was really disappointed with my experience at Bent Bean. When I walked in (it was sometime last week), no one greeted me or even acknowledged that I was there, which immediately made the atmosphere feel unwelcoming. Customer service goes a long way, and that first impression matters. What concerned me even more was that staff were vaping inside the room. That's unprofessional and uncomfortable in a place where people are trying to enjoy food and drinks. It didn't feel like a clean or respectful environment. I used to like coming here; but the last two times I have gone- an employee Jamie (not sure how to spell it, but this is what she claimed her name was) has been nothing but super rude, and when she catches on that you do not like her rude responses she tries to kiss your ass. the first time I ignored it, still ordered and moved on. but after today and the rude customer service to happen once again, I'm not going back :) May this girl heal from whatever issues she dragging into work. read more

The service was the worst experience I ever had at any coffee shop! I went there last week! All of them were really rude! Like they all hated their jobs and didn't want to be there!! The manager especially was the rudest I have ever encountered! My coffee was so cold and it tasted old! I asked if I could get it replaced and she told me no that I had to pay for another one! In spite of the great reviews this place is just mediocre. The service was pretty disinterested, my chai was pretty run of the mill and barely hot. The tables weren't especially clean. I probably won't bother to come back. Nothing outstandingly terrible, but nothing great either. read more

Great comfortable place to sit and enjoy a cup of your favorite brew. Place has several comfortable chairs, some around a fireplace, and most can see the flat screen TV above the mantle. Several types of muffins, scones and desserts can be had with your coffee, and later in the day, one can order a variety of sandwiches to eat. read more

This is our go-to coffee shop when we visit Burley every month. They serve Seattle's Best, and it is hands down the best! It puts Starbucks to shame. The staff is always super friendly! The atmosphere is super cute and comfortable! read more

I give it two stars because the food was great but the service is horrible. Both employees were rude and when I was at the counter waiting to order I was told that I'd be helped in just a minute as the one girl was doing drive thru and the other girl was in the back. The drive thru girl carried on a conversation with the person at the window although she had customers waiting. It didn't seem as though either employee enjoyed their job and time management skills were poor. Although the food was great I won't be back. I would prefer to go were I am valued as a customer. read more

Cute little place for Burley. Good coffee and tea. Comfy seating next to a fireplace. Ive been here quite a few times, to try to convince myself im not in the worst town ever. The Bent Bean is attached to a gas station and sells Seattle Best Coffee. This is not all bad but not what I was expecting after seeing the pictures posted here. I'm not sure where the pastries are purchased but they were pretty good. The service was great but like I said, this was not the type of coffee shop I expected and the coffee was what I would expect from SBC (not great but not horrible). read more

Although I loved their selection of coffee and Red Bull drink concoctions, the people there gave it a three! After ordering a chocolate cake pop that the service lady said was dipped in cake crumbs, I bit into a nasty flavored chocolate one dipped in NUTS! I have given this coffee house many Chances but more often than not its takes a very long time just to get a simple coffee. The staff is very friendly however someone who is in a hurry might want to consider elsewhere. read more

I'll never shop here again. The owner was behind me in line and asked me to change the next time I came in. If you're working in the agriculture department of our community and want to stop for a drink here, be sure you change into clothing fit for the dress code at this location. Coming back to Burley for a high school reunion, The Bent Bean was a great little coffee shop tucked away behind the gas pumps on Overland. Seattle Best is much better than Starbucks and the Breakfast Burritos were a welcome change from the other breakfast chain restuarants . The inside could have been in Seattle, Portland or San Francisco - not what I expected in Burley at all - a great surprise. read more
