My colleague and I were driving east on 84, we'd missed the Twin Falls exit, and we were hungry! We got off at the Burley exit and hoped to notice somewhere to have a good meal. We hit the jackpot -- food-wise, anyway. Pad Woonsen is my favorite Thai dish. I order it whenever it's on the menu. This Pad Woonsen was among the best I've ever had in terms of food quality and portion size. I opted for shrimp as the protein, and the shrimp were cooked nicely. Everything was fresh and delicious. There isn't any ambiance. It's a linoleum-tiled floor with two rows of booths on each wall and a row of tables and chairs in the middle. The service was minimalist, too. Our orders were taken a few minutes after we sat down, food arrived, and dishes were cleared. Nothing fancy. It's on the main north to south artery, so parallel parking may be required. The service was very nice but the restaurant was a lot emptier than I expected since the food was really good! I also thought the food was reasonably priced. I ordered the green curry and it could easily feed 2 people with how much rice and curry they gave me, the steamed potstickers were good but nothing out of this world, and the sticky rice with mango was good too but it was unexpectedly really hot in some parts and cold in others. My mom and I were in Burley for a family thing and we came here to dinner one night not expecting any decent food at all. We were very pleasantly surprised at how tasty the food was. It was flavorful, tasted like real Thai food and was really good! The only thing that she and I thought was unlike Thai food we'd had elsewhere was the tofu. It was fried weird. I don't even know how to describe it. But it didn't taste bad. My mom said it had a texture like a rubber band! She had the drunken noodles and I had the basil stir fry. We both liked other spice level (she got 1 and I got 2. Spice level was 0-3). And I think despite the weird tofu we would come back here if we were back in this town. read more

I tried this place because I felt like having some veggies and meat type of meal. So I ordered the veggie plate and I added some protein which I added some beef shrimp and chicken. Today was the first day this location opened. We were excited to see a Thai restaurant for the Burley area. We have always had to travel to Twin Falls or Boise. The inside is basic. Booths and tables. Plenty of seating. Service was great. The food was good as well. We got massaman curry, Eggrolls, and crying tiger. They have Thai teas, and Coke brand fountain drinks. The curry had excellent flavors. That is how I like my curry. A little bit thicker. The eggrolls were ok. The crying tiger was excellent. As far as heat, I like my Thai food, Thai or burn your face off spicy. This was mild for me. I will request a much spicier version. I think this place has some real potential. The restaurant is very clean, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and you can tell they truly care about quality. Every dish is packed with flavor and worth every bite. This place is a welcome change to the selections in Burley. Walking in, Charm doesn't look like anything special. There's no decor to speak of and the seating is very low budget diner and the music selection is an interesting choice that doesn't build any kind of ambiance. Given that the place is new, I don't think this is at all surprising. What the ambiance lacked the food made up for. A lot of options to get a sampling of different flavors. There didn't appear to be a very large staff, so we knew there would be a wait for things- worth it. We tried 3 of the appetizers- calamari, fried pot stickers, and tempura shrimp, the kids liked all of them and I found the pot stickers to be especially nice, though I thought the calamari tasted too much like cheap fishsticks. For main dishes we got the duck curry, the garlic pepper beef, Tom Kha, and the Pad thai. I was surprised to find the highest heat level on my curry to be barely present but the flavors were fantastic. The duck was cooked perfectly and the curry sauce was a fantastically balanced. I didn't find much garlic flavor or the beef, but it was equally packed with flavor and perfectly cooked- very tender with just the right amount of searing. The vegetables tasted fresh and crisp and the sauce they came in was delightfully light. Similarly, the pad thai wasn't overpowering in its penut flavor and the noodles were absolutely delicious. This was some of the best pad thai I've had in a long time. The Tom Kha was interesting but not my favorite. The coconut flavor was very well balanced and the tofu in the soup was quite nice. Though I felt like something was missing in the execution. Adding a bit of rice to the broth made all the difference and it everyone at the table adored the pleasant aroma from the soup. The service was quite slow, as expected given there were only 2 people working that I could see. But we were well taken care of and it wasn't an excessive wait at all. The portions are very generous and you cant beat the pricing. I will definitely be back next time I'm in town to explore more flavors. If this place gets established enough to build the ambiance and staff- 5 stars. read more

We were very pleased to find this restaurant had recently opened here, and finally got to visit to see how good it is. We're familiar with other Thai restaurants in our previous home location and knew exactly what we wanted to order. The Thai Fried Rice, Tom Kha Kai (chicken), cream cheese wontons, Panang Curry (beef) and chicken satay were very tasty (mostly 2-3 spice levels - perfect!), the service was excellent and quick and like always we had plenty to take home with us for a second meal as well. I usually make the drive to Twin Falls for Thai food from Prasai but am so glad there's a place now in Burley to get great food from! The drunken noodles and fried rice were perfect. Ordering online is fairly easy and it was well packaged to make sure it doesn't spill during the drive home. Will definitely be eating here again! read more

Finally, Burley has a great place to eat. Not only was the food exquisite, but the service went above and beyond. They were very helpful with special request, even able to lower or up the spice as long as you know how to communicate you will have a great time. There were 2 of us & we each ordered at the same time. The server brought out one meal, but didn't bring out the other for a very long time. To prevent having his food get cold I told my companion to go ahead & eat. He was nearly done with his food by time I even received mine. He had told me we could share his since I had no food, but as kind as his offer was it seemed unnecessary since I had ordered my own food! Also, I had no silverware... They literally brought out only a fork when they brought out his food. So I'm sitting there with no food & no silverware. Then when they finally brought out my food he was about finished & had to wait for me while I ate my food. A table's food should be served at the same time. If we're at a restaurant to eat dinner together, it's awkward & ridiculous to each eat one meal at a time. My companion said his food tasted alright. Mine was not great. The chicken seemed like it had been boiled in water & had zero flavor. There was barely any peanuts at all, finely chopped about the size of a nickel on the side of my plate. It was the most bland pad thai I've ever had. The employees seemed like they were trying to appear attentive. Between 2 of them they came to our table at least 6 times while we were each eating for a very quick awkward stop. This Thai restaurant offered only 1 appetizer with peanut sauce & no other items. Peanut sauce is an additional $3 if you want it with a meal. The ambiance of this place is very casual. It's not a fancy place by any means. Vinyl chairs & booths, thin paper napkin dispensers with salt & pepper packets on each table.... Food was not great. Service was bad. Highly likely we will never return. read more
