WORTH THE WAIT!!! I never thought I'd be saying the best Chinese I've had in the great gem state is in Burley. But here I am saying just that. Everything is made fresh and worth every second of the wait time. From start to finish we were there an hour and a half. From the soup to the rice and noodles and mains...oh my. We had the Chicken Stir Fry, General's Chicken, Mandarin Chicken and Walnut Shrimp. Everything was PHENOMENAL!!!! Will be back again for sure!! Don't read the wild reviews that are bad. They are wrong!!! This place in on point! Incredibly clean and well taken care of and the staff is so great! Give them a try you won't be disappointed!

WORTH THE WAIT! You may have to wait for your meal; some in your party may get their meals before you, but seriously...this is a small town restaurant. Everything was FRESH! We're in Burley for the boat regatta & wanted something different. My husband is Asian and fairly picky about his food in general. He claims this was the best Chinese food he's ever had! (The menu/signs outside may be confusing...they serve Mexican food & some sushi, too). My veggie fried rice was full of fresh zucchini, broccoli, & green onions and tasted good. It was WAY too much for me to eat at one or even two meals! My husband's GIANT seafood platter took longer because the chef had to actually peel all the shrimp-there were A LOT (no frozen stuff here)! Is the atmosphere fancy? No. Wait people decked out? Not so much. But I give stars based on food quality (and in this case quantity!), and the kindness of staff. So, for a small, quirky restaurant, this place delivered.

The place was a total shit show with little annoying ass kids running and screaming everywhere…read morewhile i was trying to have a peaceful diner with my soon to be baby daddy and was thoroughly disappointed with the entire experience. First off, the food was subpar at best. Most of the dishes tasted bland or were over-seasoned to the point where they were inedible. The variety, which is usually the appeal of a buffet, was extremely lacking--half the stations were empty, and what was available seemed like it had been sitting out for hours. Some dishes were cold, and others had clearly been reheated multiple times. The cleanliness was another major issue. The plates and utensils were not properly washed, with visible food stains on some. The floors around the buffet stations were sticky, and I noticed several tables that hadn't been cleared or cleaned after previous diners left. It's unacceptable for a restaurant to neglect basic hygiene standards. The service was equally terrible. It was hard to find anyone to ask for assistance, and when I did, the staff seemed uninterested and rude. I asked for water twice, and it took over 20 minutes for someone to bring it to the table. The general attitude was unwelcoming, which only added to the already disappointing atmosphere. Overall, the experience felt like a waste of time and money. For the price I paid, I expected much better. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone and will certainly never be returning and my poor baby daddies because the fishes were disappearing .And at the end i never got my child support.Never again..

I needed to go to Jerome for an ultrasound last week. Of course I'm going to check out the local…read morerestaurants and see what our food options were. I did Google Chinese restaurants in Jerome and this joint, China Garden came up with a 5 star ranking. Curiosity got the best of me and I needed to see why this Chinese restaurant in this small town is 5 stars. Granted, there were only a few reviews but I had to know why! Honestly, I should have read the Yelp reviews as well. It might have lead me to another restaurant for lunch. My friend and I made it in a little after 1. There were a couple guests eating which is a good sign. We sat ourselves and waited for our server. My friend ordered a diet Coke while we were looking over the menu. Our server had to ask my friend several times what he was drinking because she forgot. I should have taken our first interaction with our server as an indication of how our lunch service would be. I ordered some hot and sour soup to start lunch off. For lunch I got the tofu, shrimp and scallops dish. I did ask the server if there are any vegetables in the dish. Nothing was listed but the 3 things of the dish. She said yes so I didn't worry about adding extra veggies to my plate. Our food came out at the same time. My plate did look good cause it was tofu, shrimp and scallops but I was curious to where the vegetables were at since there were supposed to be some in my dish. Technically there were a few slices of carrots and water chestnuts. When I think of vegetables in a stir fry dish, I think of brocolli, bamboo shoots, onions..... The fact that the server didn't tell me that those were the only two vegetables in my dish was rather annoying. I would have approached ordering my lunch differently. The tofu was soft. The shrimp was nicely sized and cooked perfectly. The scallops were baby scallops and you get a handful of them. The sauce was flavorful and savory. It was actually a good dish but it was pretty much all one texture. If there was some brocolli florettes to add some crunch, I think this dish would have been so much better. My server did forget to order my soup. I probably should have taken that as a sign and not have it. But she brought it out after I asked her about it. I'm going to recommend saving yourself a few bucks and not order it. It was overwhelmingly sour. Way too much vinegar in the soup. No spice and no flavor could be tasted. I ate a couple bites and set it to the side. Our server was clueless, lazy and inattentive. The food was decent. The plate I had could have been that much better if there was a crunch element to it. It's cool I got to check this joint out but it's far from 5 stars on Google. Yelp had the right ranking and I should have read the reviews on Yelp before eating here.

I wasn't going to leave a review because at the end of the day, I don't have high expectations for a chinese restaurant in Jerome, Idaho, but now that it's been a couple of hours, I am feeling really sick.

We were sat, ordered our drinks and then had to wait 20 minutes before receiving them and being able to order our food. We ordered low mein, fried rice, and general tsao's chicken. We waited for nearly an hour or more for our food. When we received the chicken it was the wrong kind. She had given us kung pao, and before I could even say anything she rushed off. We sat there for another 10 minutes waiting for the rest of the food. When she came with it, before she rushed off again I said that I had wanted general tsao chicken. She looked at me and told me that I had in fact ordered kung pao (which is not true because I don't like kung pao). Before I could say anything she stomped off. The noodles and rice both were cold and at that point I wasn't even hungry, I was just upset and wanted to leave. She asked if we wanted boxes for the food we barely even touched. We both said no. And she walked away. I looked at the check and saw that she had left the kung pao on the ticket, but it wasn't what we wanted nor was it remotely eaten. I literally left the plate at the end of the table in hopes that she would notice and take it but she never did. When we walked to the front to pay I brought this to the managers attention and tried explaining what happened. While in the middle of explaining the waitress yelled in front of a lobby full of people that "they ordered the kung pao chicken, I read the order back and they said yes". If that is true I don't have any recollection of it. I was shocked and embarrassed. The manager looked at me and said she needed to speak to someone in the back. So my mom and I stood there awkwardly waiting. She came back and acted extremely annoyed and said she would take it off and said that I should have told her to take it back when it was brought out initially. I told her that I had tried but was met with immediate backlash and she walked away before I could even ask for it to be corrected, nor did she give me the option for it to be corrected. The manager rolled her eyes and collected the money. At this point I wanted to cry. I am not one to ever complain, and it took a lot of courage for me to even say that it was the wrong dish. Overall, today's experience left a bad taste in my mouth and I'm not sure if I want to go back. Which really sucks, because i used to tell everyone how great this place was.
