Made a lunch stop on my way to the Sawtooth Mountains. Portside Pizza and Pub was our gps location, but to our surprise the owners also own the restaurant next door, The Boathouse in Burley. Unfortunately, a restaurant not found on Yelp, but since it's the same ownership, I still want to make a review. The Boathouse in Burley was just the quick stop we were looking for. While it's a 10 minute detour from the highway, I could not recommend a better place. My partner and I started off with Mozzerella Sticks, to die for! While I'm not a fan of breaded Mozzerella sticks, these were coated and fried to perfection, with just the right amount of good quality cheese. For my main course, I ordered the Prime Rib Sandwich (upon availability)... wow! The prime rib was so tender and although it came with horseradish cream, they put it on the side, thankful for that small touch! My partner ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, which was crunchy and juicy, yet not greasy. The Buffalo sauce wasn't overbearing, it had the right amount of zing. The fries... some of the best. Our server was sweet, accommodating our request to sit on the patio with our pup. She made sure to give us a nice shaded table in the corner! The food came out quickly, which was appreciated as we have a few hours left on the road. I absolutely love the owners concept, two restaurants side by side, both with patio seating hosting views of the Snake River. Unlike most restaurants, you don't need to be on the patio to enjoy the same views. Each building has big windows with scenic tables, you can't go wrong choosing indoors or outdoors! To make it even better, they are adding campsites, trailer hookups, more cabins, kayak rentals and a wedding venue. A one-stop shop! read more

Overly salty, lukewarm pizza and cheese bread. Lackluster flavors and service. Red floaties in my clear mixed drink (served in plastic cups). Employees vaping in eyeline of customers right on the patio, not washing their hands after returning inside. No gloves on the kitchen employees putting up food in the window, touching the sauce ramekins they set right on top of the salad. We have been here twice and I don't think we will return for a third. Ambiance and location on the river earns the 3 stars. Could be a fine place with some management tweaks. read more

We came to the restaurant just about 15 minutes before closing time. Even so, Amy made us feel right at home and we had much-needed drinks, pizza, and salad. The food was great, and there was a huge beer, cider, and cocktail selection. It was Karaoke night when we were there, so we even got a free show! I highly recommend this place. read more

Nestled on the bank of the Snake River in Burley, Idaho, is the hidden gem of Portside Pizza & Pub. If you're looking for a place that checks all the boxes of delicious food, friendly staff and amazing atmosphere, this place is it! There's even boat docks for those enjoying the day on the river, working up an appetite after a fun day on the water. My husband & I have eaten there twice now and once just to relax with a couple of their top notch drinks with a side of beautiful peaceful sunsets. The pizza was made to perfection, Snake River meatballs are a filling appetizer that melt in your mouth, and the homemade lasagna will make you want to savor every bite but at the same time bring out your inner fat cat Garfield! If you ever find yourself in Burley, make sure to stop in to feed your body & soul at this family friendly restaurant, (even your extra furry behaved children are welcome)! we have always had good food and service here. the buffalo cauliflower is great. all the pizzas are super good. the kids love their dessert pizzas. fun to go watch a game or sit on the patio in the nice weather. they have really made a lot of improvements to the location. read more

The garlic knots were sent out BLACK like it was standard. Sent them back- was told "they weren't burnt but baked." Baked is golden brown not black! Another couple at the table ordered same item they kept theirs even though theirs were also black, said they were doughy inside. Wasn't given my money back but replaced with a $5 salad for a $9 item. Service was okay, they were friendly but not attentive. I see why you pay as you order otherwise they'd make no tips. Got a stomachache later. read more

It was amazing actually the place was really interesting in there there are some games in so there is also a Karaoke spot in there as well they do that on Wednesday um they also have a bar there too! But anyway overall it's a really quiet place for the most part the place is very quiet. So go there have fun play some games and enjoy!! read more

I find myself using "hidden gem" a lot with respect to Burley and Portside Pizza is no exception. This is a cute little hole-in-the-wall place nestled right on the banks of the Snake River, featuring patio seating and a large grassy area out back overlooking the river. One thing to be aware of - if you're from out of town and trying to navigate, your GPS will take you to the wrong place if you search for Portside Pizza. You have to look up the Boathouse (they share a parking area). I gather this location or at least the current version of it is somewhat new and imagine this will be updated at some point. This is very much a DIY kind of place; you place your order at a counter and can retrieve your own plates/napkins/utensils. Which is generally how I prefer things so that you're not waiting on various odds and ends from a busy waitstaff. As mentioned the location is fantastic, with great views of the river from the patio and ample room for kids to run around outside while waiting for food, not to mention a giant Connect 4 type game located on the patio. Live music is often featured on the weekend, but is not noisy to the point of being distracting, particularly if you're seated on the patio. As far as food goes, the pizza is almost surprisingly good (spoken as a NY pizza snob who's come to accept that the pickings are slim west of the Mississippi). If you don't mind something with a bit of a kick, I'd definitely recommend the Snake River Pie! Highly recommended if you find yourself in Burley with an appetite. read more

I actually found this little hidden gem Pub on Yelp on my way home to Utah from Shoshone Falls for an awesome day trip drive. Portside Pub was a great place to finish off our day trip. My wife and I chose to sit in the outside covered patio that overlooks the Snake River. The food portions were larger than we expected, and the flavor quality of the food was amazing. I am on the keto diet and had their Caprese salad with the cauliflower crust Margherita pizza, while my wife enjoyed the Philly sandwich with the pesto bruchetta. I would strongly recommend this wonderful Pub to anyone, and we will absolutely return the next time we are in this area. read more
