Staying next door on my trip from San Diego to Texas. The clerk at the Copper Inn told me I would receive a discount at Denny's! Cool! Went to get take-out since I have my dog with me and didn't want to leave him alone in the room. Asked my server Hayley if I would get a 20% discount and she said yes (had my room key and showed it to her). Wellllll, I got my food and paid and then noticed there was no discount. Went and asked Hayley about it and she said, oh sorry, you have to tell the person when you pay. I said, well, I told you and you didn't tell me that. That is just wrong. Got the pot roast and it was ok. Got the squash as the side and it was undercooked, just shy of raw, and had absolutely no seasoning on it. The 'bread' was greasy. Denny's - American Near Me - Benson, Arizona

Absolutely disgusted by the service that was provided by the employees working at this Denny's. Upon arriving the two young hostess greeting entering customers were very hesitant to seat us down. After being seated down the waitress never bothered to introduced herself. We waited an excessive amount of time and later decided to ask the hostess if she could please send a waitress over to our table because we were ready to order. We then waited some more. As we waited THREE other families were seated nearby and a waitress promptly took their orders, yet no one bothered to ask us if we needed anything. I couldn't help but feel as though we were being discriminated against, seeing that we were surrounded by Caucasian families and they were all being well taken care of. No one ever came to our table to take our orders, so we simply left. read more

Yesterday we stopped at this Denny's as we were traveling through. After we were seated, recommended how it would be nice if every restaurant had plexi guards around their tables. Our food was very good but then we began to notice people were coming in and seated without masks. But it got worse. A male employee was closing out at the end of his shift and removed his mask in the food prep area. Then a female employee came on shift and was walking all around the food prep area without a mask. As we left we mentioned all this to the cashier. He said he would tell the manager about the employees but the manager had said not to stop people without masks because he didn't want to make them mad. We had been so careful on our trip and then this happened. This was reprehensible. I would have given 5 stars but cannot give stars when a restaurant is so careless with people's lives read more

Staffed by dirty looking tweeters. Not too busy BUT it took them 15 minutes to take our order. Saw a scuzzy, homeless looking man clock in and go to kitchen. My appetite left. Ordered finally. Took 37 minutes to reach our table. Food was good. Then we couldn't get them to come to cash register to take our money. No need to stop here unless you have a lot of time to waste. read more

Food is so-so, prices are average, and service was bad. Long waits for server to arrive, no check ups for drinks, really long wait for food, and it really wasn't that good. Even the check took forever. And it wasn't very busy. Good place to eat at 3:00 AM when you are drunk, I guess. Not so much any other time though. read more

Never again. Stopped for breakfast this morning. After placing order, we waited for over an hour. In passing, our waitress stated that our food should be out soon. Had to ask her for more coffee and water. We sat there watching people eat their meals and leave, but not another word from our waitress about our meal. Went for breakfast waited 10 minutes to be seated (not full at all), asked the hostess if I could be seated, she said wait and continued to cash people out without ever seating anyone. Not capable of handling more than one thing at a time. Went to McDonald's up the freeway with fast service and great views. read more

Food took about hour to come out (no really.. ) and I didn't like the way the waitress was treating my table. Apparently she was covering someone's night shift and has to work in the morning the next day. I understand that it gets tiring and all, but don't rush your customers by telling them that they're you're last table so when they're done, you get to go home because you're soooooo tired! We stayed a night at the Super 8 across the parking lot and came here for breakfast. Everyone was very friendly, the server went above and beyond to keep our drinks full and to see if we needed anything additional. Food was great. As a bonus, we received 10% off our bill because we stayed at the Super 8. I would stop here again :) read more

THe General Manager is a pain in the ass!!! I was there today and I heard her talk down to her wait staff in front of the local customers! I was embarrassed for the wait staff, as they were doing EVERYTHING that they could to make the customers happy. The wait staff there is an amazing bunch of people.....they are kind, considerate and in the past have met every single need that I or the people in my party needed. I have been going back to this particular Dennys because of the staff but I find that the new GM is not a nice person and I really hate thinking that she was cooking my food with her hair in ponytails and not having a hair net on....that was gross!! Breakfast is good here. Good coffee. Had Bacon, Avocado Burrito and hubby had sausage and eggs.

I have ordered bisquits and gravy several times thinking each time they will be good. Dennys really needs to work on serving fresh bisquits. Even with the gravy on top of them , they are horrible. Maybe, one day I will try them again to see if anyone reads this and tries to improve. Having a choice of sausage gravy would be nice too. read more

I've eaten here numerous times. Most of the time the food is good (for a Denny's), but the staff is horrible. The orders ALWAYS take too long and the server rarely checks back to see if you need anything additional or a refill. I don't visit this place anymore unless someone I am with insists that we go here. After years of the same horrible service, I will NEVER eat here again on purpose. read more

Two to three years ago this Dennys was in poor shape. My wife and I went to it perhaps two times and gave up. But we recently just happened to go to try it again since we live in the Benson area and see if it had changed. To our surprise it was totally renovated and it's really very nice. Everything: the food, inside and out was excellent. The standards have been raised extremely hi. Dennys has become one of our favorite restaurants in town. If you want to wait an hour without a drink to eat stale browning unwashed tasting lettuce, cold fries, a wait that takes literaly an hour to be served (we timed it), a manager in a thin tank top with cut offs, wearing flip flops, no refills, no waitress asking if you are doing okay (which we were not) and an snarky unnecessary attitude when you try to point this out ...this just may be the place for you. The food always seems to disappoint and the service lacks a lot. Sometimes you can get a great waitress or waiter but it just seems like it's hit and miss. Horrible experience! This place is totally in the gutter with bad/slow service, inedible cold meals, and providing meals with allergy dangerous 'accidents' like the pancakes my friend ordered specifically to avoid chocolate chips due to a severe allergy that she ended up ingesting one by accident that wasn't even supposed to be there on the caramel pumpkin pancakes that she ordered!!! Sunday--busiest day of the week right before noon, and they are down to two waitresses and one cook (who is miserably bad at his job as he couldn't even wash out the pancake receptacle before making a new batch, hence why there were chocolate chips in the pancakes ordered when there should not have been any). Waited forever to get waited on, and when they did it took even longer to get the meals. Seated fairly fast, but they forgot to include menus. Tracked them down for that, finally, twenty minutes later got coffee, and gave our orders. Waited another twenty minutes to get 'some' of the orders and all was cold food (even butter would not melt on the pancakes) and waited another ten minutes for the last order to arrive which was discovered to have chocolate chips in it when one was eaten accidentally by a friend with a severe allergy, so took it back and waited another ten minutes or longer for the replacement. In meantime they forgot to leave syrup, so we got up and found our own. Two of the orders had incorrect eggs/sides, so sent them back for the right ones. No refills on coffee. Never got around to that in the hour+ that we were there. We are locals and we've been here several times in the past after Sunday church services, and every time it's been a disappointment. We kept thinking it would improve, but no. This was the worst. When paying the bill they didn't even have change, had to track down the manager (who wasn't around when we complained about the chocolate chips in the pancakes) to get change and waited another ten minutes. The booth we sat at was slimed all over with syrup and little hand prints, so it wasn't even wiped down, everything stuck to you! This is a dangerous place as they can someday end up with someone including children to have an allergic reaction to peanuts or Chocolate all due to their poor food handling ethics. Everytime we have visited in the past we've experienced some or all of these problems, and this was the last straw. I felt it better to get the bad review out than talking to a manager who clearly will only tell me what I want to hear instead of fixing his many problems. My husband ordered a double cheeseburger with mayo on the side (it didn't come with mayonnaise) and I ordered the spaghetti & meatballs. When our food finally arrived, the waitress asked if we needed anything & I asked for a tea refill and my husband asked for his mayo. The waitress acted like she had never heard of mayonnaise even though she originally told him she would give it to him. After asking for it twice, she went back to her counter station and we watched her talk to the other employees and then proceed to ignore us for the next twenty minutes. When she came back to our table she asked us if we needed anything - by that time we had given up on the hope of receiving anything we wanted and decided to just pay and leave. I ate there tonight for the first time. Simple order, turkey club, mayo on the side. Wonderful fries, and they gave me a turkey sandwich with three slices of bread, cut in half. I asked the waitress, she was very nice, what is up with the sandwich. I showed her the picture on the menu. She took it back to the cook. He said it was a turkey club but he did not cut it. She came back with a knife and I was told to cut it myself to make it a club. What is up with that? Was that the cooks solution? The lettuce was brown and wilted. It had yellow squash, zucchini and cheese in it with a sprinkling of tomatoes on top. No onions, no mushrooms, no spinach. Extremely bland. I said iced tea and the waiter said it will be a minute I am just making tea. I sat there for fifteen minutes and never saw him again. No one came to take my order and the mystery tea never appeared.
