Because it's probably the best Mexican restaurant in Southern Arizona. And now, EVERYBODY knows it. I used to blame the Snowbirds, but it's obviously because of the "locals" now. Not many Canadians spend the summers with us, and the place is still crazy busy in July -but- If you can get in...do it! If I had the time to wait in line, I'd do it too. Enjoy!

My order- pictured shrimp tacos- were absolutely delicious and as you can see the presentation is top tier. We got their dessert special carrot cake to go and had it later that night. The carrot cake is beyond words crazy good. All around just a delightful experience! If you're within 80 miles of this place make the journey. I'm not kidding at all- best Mexican food I've ever had

I had a bowl of their deluxe tortilla soup and loved it! I decided against adding chicken but still the soup was so filling and warming. Very fresh vegetables and lots of avocados too. I'd definitely get this again. My friend had a chicken mole plate and said it wad good but did wish the rice wasn't overcooked but then commented that this seems typical. He also loved the old fashioned coke in a glass bottle for his drink. That's why I gave them 3 stars. I got the taco salad with fish. Most taco salads have rice in them but this one did not or at least I couldn't find any. It did have lots of beans. The fish is breaded. The fish on the top of the salad were very good and hot and crunchy. The rest of the fish was hurried in the beans and were soggy and mushy. There was more fish buried in the meal than beans or greens. Too much fish when I didn't like the fish in it. So I took 2 stars away. I won't eat there again but I am sure my husband will.

The quesadilla was actually pretty decent. The tamales were ok. They were bland with little flavor. The chips and salsa were sad. The chips were stale and the salsa was a poor purchased hot sauce. The seating area must have been purchased in the early 70s and never updated. I would look somewhere else for mexican food. This is not the place.
