Look, I'm not gonna to lie you...I haven't eaten there in over 10 years. Not because it sucked, mainly because I can't get into the place. It's too busy. Guess why it's so busy? Because it's probably the best Mexican restaurant in Southern Arizona. And now, EVERYBODY knows it. I used to blame the Snowbirds, but it's obviously because of the "locals" now. Not many Canadians spend the summers with us, and the place is still crazy busy in July -but- If you can get in...do it! If I had the time to wait in line, I'd do it too. Enjoy! read more

My wife & I visited Benson this weekend, and tried this restaurant for lunch on Friday. It's small, and they only had 2 servers so we waited maybe 20 minutes for a table. BUT THE FOOD!!! The chips & salsa: chips were piping hot, and comes with a bowl of the best green salsa - perfectly sweet with that hint of hot at the end. Amazing! My wife ordered a horchata which was spectacular. My order- pictured shrimp tacos- were absolutely delicious and as you can see the presentation is top tier. We got their dessert special carrot cake to go and had it later that night. The carrot cake is beyond words crazy good. All around just a delightful experience! If you're within 80 miles of this place make the journey. I'm not kidding at all- best Mexican food I've ever had read more

The most amazing and interesting Mexican food I've ever had, which is saying a lot cause I'm from Texas and have lived all over the desert South West and definitely had my share of all manner of Mexican. Each dish is individually made by a single woman... a professionally trained chef. We were told she had been doing this for well over half a century, and might be retiring soon. It makes me wish I had discovered Mi Casa years earlier. Worth the travel across the country to eat this deliciousness!! read more

Wow wow wow wow!!! What an amazing place to experience. We were some of the first people waiting in a long time before they even opened. We drove by and say this cute spot and it was worth every cent. They do have limited and I mean limited staff and they do have a sign out front that does let you know that the wait will be long and the staff is limited and to please be patient with them. I ordered a 2 item combination plate with a shredded beef tostada and a chicken enchilada it does come with beans and rice. My daughter ordered a 3 item combination plate with carnitas tacos and a beef tostada it came with beans and rice as well. You do have to ask for salsa and chips (it's free) but they don't want people to waste them so that's why you ask if you'd like some while you wait. The staff was super nice and must have the most patience I've ever seen at a restaurant. The demand for this place is high, it was packed and stayed that way until we left. The ambiance is an older style colorful and dim place with Hispanic photos on the walls and plants outside. I took pictures of the full menu, they do have a wife variety of items to choose from, I don't believe you can wrong with anything that you order. The tostada bowl is of another tables order I just that it was cool. I highly recommend stopping here if you're from out of town, out of the state or even if you're local. read more

We were traveling from AZ to TX and stopped in Benson for lunch and decided on Mi Casa and are so glad we did! I had the enchiladas banderas and my husband had the green chile pork burrito. Everything tasted delicious. Also ordered an horchata to go after hearing other customers raving about it. We will definitely stop back in when driving through the area. read more

I hate to write bad reviews about a place you check Yelp to find good ones but if you're from out of town don't expect to be seated first before locals show up. We got there to have dinner and the temperature outside where you wait was 98. They had us stand outside but the moment a local couple showed up they took them in. So we left. read more

The food was great and tastes homemade. There is a homey feeling to the environment, although small. Great service.

Fantastic place for dinner! You will have to wait but the food is a work of art! Very quaint atmosphere! read more

Where have you been all my life ? I don't even wanna write a review cause I don't want anybody else going there. I want it to be all mine.!! From the moment I walked in I felt like I was in the right place. My son had seen a post on Instagram about this place. Saying it was a hidden gem. And man was he right and were they right!! I was greeted with a friendly smile like she wanted me there, like she knew I would love the food. I just moved here from California and it was like I just exhaled. I ordered the cucumber drink and was given chips and salsa. The drink was so amazingly refreshing. The chips were so amazingly good. They were a little on the done side in which I really like. I asked the lady if that was normal and she said no I said how can I make it normal she said to ask for the darkest chips in the pot. And I will do so on my next visit. The salsa was so good. I'm not sure if it had nopales in it or what, but I can't even explain to you what the flavors were I just know that it was delicious. I ordered the fajitas chimichanga with shrimp. They suggested I try all three salsas And I did and I don't have a favorite because they were also equally good and all so different with each having different flavor components and profiles. The beans and rice were so flavorful, and they even had a chip shaped like a bird in it. My son is coming to visit next week and we are going there to go eat lunch together. It's a quaint house made into a restaurant, I felt like I was on a television show about good food in an undisclosed place. The outside grounds were beautiful also. It was a little too hot to sit outside, but I can't wait to visit on a cooler day and enjoy the ambience outside. read more

Good Evening my friends, today Jen & I are on a two day road trip to Tucson Az and St David Az. It's Grandparents lunch day with Grandkids at school so have one today with Issac and tomorrow with Olivia. Lunch with Issac went well, after lunch we headed down to St David for our local Honey pickup, St David has some of the BEST Mesquite Honey so we make a road trip to get 2-3 gallons to take back home with us. Ok, let's talk about tonight's dinner, the choice was Mexican food so headed out ( downtown Benson Az ) to Mi Casa Restaurant, this is a small restaurant but was very busy while we were there, we were seated at a reasonable time and was greeted by the hostess who was very friendly for our drinks & dinner order, ok these plates are huge so pictures may seem like there's nothing on them lol, dinner was great I had the Popeye enchiladas with beans & rice and Jen had the Chili Riano and was happy with her choice, we left full and satisfied and ready now to relax for the evening. If ever passing through or going by Benson Az stop by and have lunch or dinner at Mi Casa Restaurant. read more

Oh my god. This was the top 5 best restaurants i've ever been to. So delicious, the plate was completely clean after. Everything was perfect! The ambiance was so beautiful, it was so intimate. The waiter was so sweet and funny! We waited like 25 minutes for a table, because they can fit very little people in. The wait was so worth it though, and the food came to the table quickly after we ordered it. Such an amazing experience, you would've never thought! read more

Amazing food although the server got my order a little wrong they were nice. And it was in a cute house .

This gem is a must if ever in Benson AZ. Nestled back on a nondescript lot is a small eatery that houses a juggernaut of Mexican cuisine. Quaint and homey in decor, intimate in capacity but well worth any wait. The staff is welcoming and friendly. The food is the super star. Incredible home style food presented in Michelin style. Fresh prepared guacamole that is next level, homemade salsa and fried tortilla chips, a Horchata that is epic in size and flavor! The carrot and caramel cake is an existential flavor journey. If ever in the Benson/Tombstone area make a point to treat yourself to this experience. read more

This is the best place to be when you're on a date. Great service great food. The presentation is wonderful, especially the taco salad.

Decided to try this place again and still not a fan of the food. I had the special which was enchiladas. The red sauce was pretty good but they put so much shredded cabbage on top of the enchiladas I had to scrape it off the enchiladas to be able to eat them. Wife had a chile relleno and an enchilada. Chile relleno was still cold so the cheese wasn't melted. The nice young girl brought out really watered down salsa. Big chunks of onion in it. Chips were way over cooked. The waiter never came and checked on us after we received our meal and was overall not very friendly. Will we go back? Probably not. This was our second time there and wasn't impressed. read more

Stop here! Yes, what an incredible place and bummed I didn't eat here more than once. Service- top shelf! Ambience- homey and charming seating for 28. I stopped by at 3:00pm on a Friday. Ordered Surf n turf enchiladas. There's no way to explain it other than mouth watering delicious and I want more! The green sauce (?tomatillo?) YUM! Red sauce (?8-10 diff chili peppers) not spicy but double YUMMY! Wow! And the 3rd Casa Sauce was Yum! The food and presentation is Michelin star!! Oh and I forgot the chips n salsa! The salsa was oh so delicious too. Did you roast the tomatoes and chilis? Mouth watering! read more

Food was top notch. Flavors were delicious with creative combinations. Service cost them a star though. Inattentive, almost dismissive server. Waited forever for everything as others were being served and checked on. Where most places give you chips and salsa, we had to ask for it, and then it took 10 minutes to come. Check also took 10 minutes to come after asking. This place is small with maybe a dozen tables inside, so there seemed to be no reason for the service we experienced. But let me end on the fact that the food was delicious, so give them a try! read more

Wow! I was blown away by this little casita aka restaurant! It's an old house turned restaurant in Benson on the main highway to Tombstone! Very unassuming. You will NOT get a better meal in Tombstone, so stop herr first to get your fill. They have ample outside seating, as well as inside. Service was very friendly and hospitable. I ordered a refreshing drink that had lime and chia seeds and it was huge! My drink and meal was delicious and beautifully presented. Their chips were very good and you could tell they are homemade! Their salsa was just OK for me and our table. We all agreed it needed some more flavor to it. I wished for a variety of salsas to choose from. Overall, this little gem will blow you away! This is an odd review. This restaurant is in a quaint little house set sort of off the main road. We were traveling through and it had great reviews and we decided to go local for lunch. There were people eating outside and we signed a sheet with our names to check in. There was a sign on the door that said they were short handed so please be patient with them. Long story short it took a long time to get in, order and be served. Once the food arrived it didn't matter, I ordered the taquitos, my husband had chile rellenos and my brother in law had the enchiladas. I am not exaggerating when I tell you it was about the best mexican food I have ever eaten. Delicious, ample portions and beautifully presented. We licked our plates clean. So, if you are not in a hurry or have anyplace else to be, do yourself a favor and slow down long enough to eat at Mi Casa, you won't be sorry. read more

What a treat. This small but mighty restaurant did not disappoint. We were vacationing in Tucson and sightseeing in Tombstone, I yelped to find a good Mexican restaurant. This little gem popped up. The plates of food and good reviews brought us here. We drove by it twice because it's set back from the street. Maximum occupancy is 28! The locals dined here and outsider's we're bringing their friends. We're so happy that we found this restaurant. The eclectic ambiance was charming, the giant plates were impressive, especially with the delicious food placed upon them. The pork burrito was an explosion of tasty goodness as well as an appearance that matched! My salmon was fantastic. The carrot cake was sublime! I'm posting a picture of the exterior so you won't drive by and miss this little haven of splendor. read more
