Consider this a review update (so that all the pictures will post!) Since my first time here when I picked up a to-go order to boost morale during COVID times, I have been back many times. I love the way they manage larger groups so that everyone gets their food at the same time. I love the creative combinations (sweet potato for breakfast? yes please!, Bacon with sriracha also yes!) Their coffee is also good and I can't get over the sweet happy chubby mugs! (so much so that I bought one). One of the other things I love is their rewards plan (Bennyfits). It didn't take us long to get seated which was nice. You also have an option for outside in a netted area. I wasn't a fan of the house coffee. It wasn't hot enough and tasted kind of burnt. The pineapple upside down pancakes are well worth it! The bacon was ok, but overall a little pricy for 3 slices. The French toast were a smidge dry but only because I didn't get the other two sauces on them. Our waiter was very nice but our service wasn't the best. YUMMMY & INCLUSIVE! I love a tasty and supportive environment here in beautiful, diverse Tucson. I really loved Snooze's Protein & Veggie Egg White Scramble, the house salsa is AMAZING! Additionally, I tried the cinnamon roll pancakes, the fluffy consistency is superb. I got the order of two with a Honey Oak Milk Latte. The latte could've been a little colder, but I still enjoyed it. Service was decent. Our waitress was nice, she checked in a bit. The host at the front was a little absent, but she got it together when we walked up to her. The seats were comfortable and had a fun 70s aesthetic. I definitely want to come back so I can sit at the bar, this is a good brunch spot with a variety of options! Snooze always does an amazing job! My family of 12 made a reservation for a Monday morning. The table was all set up when we arrived and our server was very friendly. I ordered a matcha latte. It was yummy and had a good ratio of matcha to milk. I wanted to order a mix of sweet and savory, so I ordered the Sandwich I am and swapped the hash browns for a strawberry shortcake pancake (small extra charge). The sandwich was nothing crazy, but still yummy. I enjoyed the pretzel bun and the hollandaise sauce. The pancake was definitely a highlight. The strawberry flavor in the coulis and strawberry mascarpone was fresh (not an artificial flavor). The portion was also a great size as a side. As expected, very busy Mother's Day. We called ahead and was seated almost when we arrived. Good timing. This was our first trip to the Tucson Grant Rd location as we always eat at the Oro Valley Snooze. Waitress and service was fine, but the food seemed a bit off. Grits were much too mushy; ham benedict seemed a little too salty and the English muffin was almost burnt to a crisp and barely edible. We had business nearby this location which was the reason we chose it. Parking was IMPOSSIBLE and the noise level was unspeakable. Daughter and I had a Sunday brunch and it was absolutely perfect. Noise leave is moderate. Crowd was steady and varied from college age to seniors to young families. I'd been to a Snooze in San Diego and was definitely unimpressed but a friend really like this location, so I gave it a try on a Saturday morning. The space is cute, with a faux retro look. Service was a little uneven- the server was very knowledgeable and friendly when we talked to her, but the wait to order and then or pay was longer than expected. The food was great. House coffee was basic (this is a pro when it comes to house brewed coffee!) and fresh. I was able to get oat milk for it as well. Tons of gluten free options, which I was very impressed by. I went with the Chile verde Benedict (one pork, one beef) and it was light, flavorful and the meat was tender. Poached eggs were perfect. By friend had a Benedict duo of more traditional versions, and was pleased with those as well. All in all, a very nice breakfast. read more

This was our first time stopping here. It was very busy but the wait wasn't very long. The server was very friendly and attentive. While it was busy it didn't seem overly loud. The tables are a little close together but nothing too uncomfortable. There's a great selection of choices on the menu for just about everyone. I originally ordered the protein pancakes, but they came back from the kitchen to tell me they were out of protein batter. So I opted for the Vegan Banana Bliss Pancakes instead, and I had a side of the plant-based chorizo, which I really, really liked. I'm glad I went with the chorizo. The mimosas were also very good. My husband asked her if he could Substitute a pancake for his hashbrowns & she said yes. But, never once did she say it would be an Upcharge of $6! We would not have done it if she said that. I love this location! I go randomly sometimes early morning, once right before close, alone or with friends, my service is always fast, friendly, and consistent. Not all Snooze locations are the same. This one had great service and music. The bartender had a gracious sense of humor while a party let their kids run around screaming that definitely felt made things much more tolerable. Menu suggestions from the staff were on point and led me to getting the Bella Benny with sauce on the side. Very delicious and poached eggs were perfect! Snooze on Grant is a vibrant, kitchy breakfast "cafe" with creative dishes that are a great bargain. Today, 03/2426, the team at Snooze on Grant was an abject failure on the service side. It all began with a young man handling the seating of guests. He is ill-trained, oddly snarky, sashaying as he led guests to where he wanted them to be located after an almost 10 minute wait inside the door. This attitude mirrored what was yet to come. We requested on the four booths and was met with resistance. 3 of the 4 booths were open and available had water glasses (empty) on them.....literally 1 or 2 glasses per open table. I asked why. Couldn't just sit in one of the open booths, and he said because they need to be cleaned. Instead of just grabbing towel, picking up two glasses, wiping it down WHILE WE SAT DOWN(!), he stated that we needed to follow him back to the front doors until cleaning was performed! What? One of the other guys literally performed it in about 10 seconds, (after standing in the middle of the interior portion of the restaurant for about 10 minutes) once they decided to grace our presence and perform the simple act of picking up the glasses, a swiping the table, which appeared very clean prior! About another 15 minutes later another guy came to the table to bring 3 set-ups (fork/knife/spoon/napkin), he appeared to be the Team Leader, and let us know a waitress would be by "soon". As he turned another male asked him if he would like him to handle our table (it wasn't crowded at all, there was a "group" of people in the back, 6 or 8 max) the team leader refused his offer. So we waited again.....then the same employee who wanted to assist just came over and politely stated he will handle our table, took our drink orders, came back in timely manner with the drinks and took our orders. Food, as always for us when coming to Snooze, wherever their location, was perfect!!!! But(!), it must have been at least another 20 minutes before our food arrived! A poor reason was "the party in tented area". Again, not crowded, not big group in tented area. The saving grace for Snooze is our waiter. He was trying to display some organizational skills, while remaining pleasant and kind, in the midst of a very dysfunctional crew. Bar maid didn't lift a finger to assist when bar area was empty, and it only had one patron the entire time we were there. The tragedy here; a senior citizen couple who patiently listened to all the excuses....but NEVER were served!!! They tried to flag someone down but received no attention!! They stood up as we were finished with our breakfast, waited 5 minutes then finally resided themselves to walking out the. The only thing they received was two glasses of water. Young Mr Sashaying Attitude guy needs to be allowed to seek his fortunes elsewhere, you can't change whats going on with him. Whoever the Leader of this crew is, he needs more organizational training on assignments, assessment of positions, and decisions to fix what isn't working. Although the food was absolutely amazing, the time from order to food on table, was too long. Waaaayyy too long. We LOVE SNOOZE! But not today at the Grant Location. Your Oracle Rd @ Ina location, and the San Diego Hillcrest location are what Snooze is; and thats amazing food, great service, excellent staff. After the last 7 times of coming here experiencing horrible service, I'm writing the review. This used to be my favorite brunch spot in Tucson when they first opened, but it's gone so down hill it's not even funny. Not sure who owns this place but I'm writing to help and make you aware that the staffing at this location is horrendous. Slow, wrong orders, forgets things, and never fails to take at least 20 minutes to just get some water once sitting down. It's the same service every time, slow and they quite literally all act stoned. Restaff and get more involved or this place is going to shut down. We were passing through town and found Snooze because the offer veggie options as well as carnivorous choices to suite both me and my husband. First off our server Shea deserves extra recognition. She is kind and attentive but not pushy. A fabulous server offering suggestions and when my husband couldn't decide what condiments he wanted she brought him a "surprise variety" where she basically brought some of everything he had considered. She was on the spot for coffee and water refills. Super friendly, too. The food was fresh and delicious! Flavorful and not greasy or overly salted.
