We ordered the cowboys breakfast and we shared since I'm not a morning person of course and it was very delicious. Service was excellent here, everyone checked-in on us periodically. Everyone was attentive, nice and friendly. Ambience here is a small cozy place with a very old southwestern setting. You can come as a group or family here. The location is great. It's on the end of Allen St, closest the OK corral and has ample street parking. From the moment I stepped into Ok Cafe, I had a feeling things were not going to go well. The menu options looked promising, but the food didn't live up to expectations at all. I ordered a burger medium, and it came out well done. To make matters worse, we had to wait 45 minutes to an hour for our food. The staff left dirty dishes on the tables, and I saw them bring out mayo that had been sitting out and served it to the table next to us. When I went to the restroom, I was mortified by how dirty it was. I tried to find their sanitation score but didn't see one, which makes me think they might have failed it given the state of the place. I genuinely believe they are failing at running this establishment. I hope whoever reads this review avoids this place or at least brings a snack because it's not worth it here. read more

Another win-in for the celiac/GF audience. My out-of-town friend and I stayed at a cute miner bungalow nearby for an overnight and needed a hearty breakfast for the day after all of our activities. Luckily for us OK Cafe was open and not busy when we walked by. It's nothing fancy but delish home style, scratch food. Our server was the absolute sweetest! She definitely has a heart of gold and you can tell she likes to chat with people. I got vibes that most of the diners are locals, which is nice for a tourist town like Tombstone. They were one of the few places we came across that had actual cold, iced coffee. NOT cold brew, not espresso with water. Cold, refrigerated coffee as I like it. Friend and I were impressed that the fruit plate was actual fruit and not just yucky melon and cantelope... which feels like the standard nowadays. Chorizo wasn't terribly spicy (coming from an ex-Midwesterner) but flavorful, and I really liked the grilled onions in my cowboy omelet. Dropped by OK Cafe since it was the closest place while on the road back to PHX. This place was definitely better than OK. The staff was super friendly and attentive, the food was really good especially for the price. It was busy, but the wait to be seated wasn't a long wait nor was the wait for our food. It didn't start off good as once inside we saw no staff and several tables needing to be bused. Then many people were paying and leaving, it was a rush that was finishing up. Tables were clean and ready. Warm and friendly service at this easy and simple place. There's all sorts of stuff on the menu but I stuck to the classic "Cowboy Omelet" which is stuffed with sausage, grilled onions, green chilies and cheese. A solid portion and served with home fries and toast. And coffee. Lots of coffee. They have signs outside all gleefully announcing how they are open at 7:00 a.m. 7 days a week. We were there at 7:20 on a Wednesday. The cafe was locked up tight. Lights were off and nobody was inside. I called them repeatedly, even after 8:00 and it was the same, no answer every time. At the very minimum they should have at least put a notice on their door explaining why they weren't open or when they would be back but apparently this establishment couldn't even be bothered to do that. Such a cute place! We tumbled their way and sat down to eat at 1:45 on a Monday afternoon, not realizing they close at 2. There were still a few other families they hosted as they cleaned up shop, they never rushed us. All the staff was so friendly and cheerful to each other which was so refreshing. We both got the homemade vegan burgers with fries and bottles of sarsaparilla (local root beer). The burgers were very unique! A blend of veggies formed into a party.
