The location is great. It's on the end of Allen St, closest the OK corral and has ample street parking. The decor is sparse but old west themed. It was clean. We arrived 10 minutes too late to order off the breakfast menu (which looked delicious) so we were relegated to the limited lunch menu - burgers and sandwiches. Service was slow, seemingly due to the place being full and understaffed. Our server was pleasant and seemed to be working hard. The burgers were good, not great. The house made chili was good, not great. Same for the corn bread muffins that came with it. Not sure if any of the tourist trap restaurants located farther down Allen St are any better but the OK Cafe kinda lived up to its name. OK. read more

There aren't a lot of places in downtown tombstone for breakfast, but this is one of them. Despite having a patio outside, there's no service we had a dog so we were forced to take our food to go, which ended up OK. The portions were large fresh with plenty of meat. From the moment I stepped into Ok Cafe, I had a feeling things were not going to go well. The menu options looked promising, but the food didn't live up to expectations at all. I ordered a burger medium, and it came out well done. To make matters worse, we had to wait 45 minutes to an hour for our food. The staff left dirty dishes on the tables, and I saw them bring out mayo that had been sitting out and served it to the table next to us. When I went to the restroom, I was mortified by how dirty it was. I tried to find their sanitation score but didn't see one, which makes me think they might have failed it given the state of the place. I genuinely believe they are failing at running this establishment. I hope whoever reads this review avoids this place or at least brings a snack because it's not worth it here. read more

Service was fantastic! I went in there on a Tuesday morning, the place was very busy and there was only one server and one cook. The service was very fast for only two people working. However, the food was only like warm. I had loaded biscuits and gravy, it would have been pretty good (gravy was flavorful and biscuit was fluffy). Another win-in for the celiac/GF audience. My out-of-town friend and I stayed at a cute miner bungalow nearby for an overnight and needed a hearty breakfast for the day after all of our activities. Luckily for us OK Cafe was open and not busy when we walked by. It's nothing fancy but delish home style, scratch food. Our server was the absolute sweetest! She definitely has a heart of gold and you can tell she likes to chat with people. I got vibes that most of the diners are locals, which is nice for a tourist town like Tombstone. They were one of the few places we came across that had actual cold, iced coffee. NOT cold brew, not espresso with water. Cold, refrigerated coffee as I like it. Friend and I were impressed that the fruit plate was actual fruit and not just yucky melon and cantelope... which feels like the standard nowadays. Chorizo wasn't terribly spicy (coming from an ex-Midwesterner) but flavorful, and I really liked the grilled onions in my cowboy omelet. The staff was super friendly and attentive, the food was really good especially for the price. It was busy, but the wait to be seated wasn't a long wait nor was the wait for our food. Tables were clean and ready. Warm and friendly service at this easy and simple place. There's all sorts of stuff on the menu but I stuck to the classic "Cowboy Omelet" which is stuffed with sausage, grilled onions, green chilies and cheese. A solid portion and served with home fries and toast. And coffee. Lots of coffee. Onion rings and ranch dressing are the best we've had anywhere!! So good we stopped by on another date during our trip to pick up an order to-go! Overall, it is a decent menu with many tasty options. I ordered the pesto chicken sandwich but was later told they ran out of pesto. They have signs outside all gleefully announcing how they are open at 7:00 a.m. 7 days a week. We were there at 7:20 on a Wednesday. The cafe was locked up tight. Lights were off and nobody was inside. I called them repeatedly, even after 8:00 and it was the same, no answer every time. At the very minimum they should have at least put a notice on their door explaining why they weren't open or when they would be back but apparently this establishment couldn't even be bothered to do that. Such a cute place! We tumbled their way and sat down to eat at 1:45 on a Monday afternoon, not realizing they close at 2. There were still a few other families they hosted as they cleaned up shop, they never rushed us. All the staff was so friendly and cheerful to each other which was so refreshing. My family was in tombstone and looking for lunch. Since we had our dog with us we decided the open patio area would be best. My wife went inside to place the order. I got the Ike and my wife got the Virgil. Both burgers were so good we're still talking about them. Cooked to perfection with quality ingredients and well seasoned. My oldest got a bratwurst that she devoured. My youngest got a grilled cheese with ham and a chicken soup. My wife and I ended up eating the soup because she got so full. It was a great chicken and green chili soup. We finished our meal with coconut cream pie which hit the spot. The service was excellent.
