From the moment I stepped into Ok Cafe, I had a feeling things were not going to go well. The menu options looked promising, but the food didn't live up to expectations at all. I ordered a burger medium, and it came out well done. To make matters worse, we had to wait 45 minutes to an hour for our food. The staff left dirty dishes on the tables, and I saw them bring out mayo that had been sitting out and served it to the table next to us. When I went to the restroom, I was mortified by how dirty it was. I tried to find their sanitation score but didn't see one, which makes me think they might have failed it given the state of the place. I genuinely believe they are failing at running this establishment. I hope whoever reads this review avoids this place or at least brings a snack because it's not worth it here.

Loaded biscuits and gravy. Probably would have been good if it was more than lukewarm..

Service was fantastic! I went in there on a Tuesday morning, the place was very busy and there was only one server and one cook. The service was very fast for only two people working. However, the food was only like warm. I had loaded biscuits and gravy, it would have been pretty good (gravy was flavorful and biscuit was fluffy). I went in there right when they opened, and I am guessing they did not have enough time to properly heat up the gravy and biscuits. Cute little place.

Had breakfast here on a Sunday morning! Got seated right away. Pancakes were very fluffy and they cooked with the fruit inside the cake. Burrito was on the buttery side but still tasty. Great breakfast place if you're visiting Tombstone! Casual ambience and old town feel.

Really good fruit plate! (No melon)

Another win-in for the celiac/GF audience. My out-of-town friend and I stayed at a cute miner bungalow nearby for an overnight and needed a hearty breakfast for the day after all of our activities. Luckily for us OK Cafe was open and not busy when we walked by. It's nothing fancy but delish home style, scratch food. Our server was the absolute sweetest! She definitely has a heart of gold and you can tell she likes to chat with people. I got vibes that most of the diners are locals, which is nice for a tourist town like Tombstone. They were one of the few places we came across that had actual cold, iced coffee. NOT cold brew, not espresso with water. Cold, refrigerated coffee as I like it. Friend and I were impressed that the fruit plate was actual fruit and not just yucky melon and cantelope... which feels like the standard nowadays. Chorizo wasn't terribly spicy (coming from an ex-Midwesterner) but flavorful, and I really liked the grilled onions in my cowboy omelet. Confirmed with our server that the home fries are celiac/GF friendly (not tossed in flour). OK Cafe made for a great (not just OK) start to our day!

Dropped by OK Cafe since it was the closest place while on the road back to PHX. This place was definitely better than OK. The staff was super friendly and attentive, the food was really good especially for the price. It was busy, but the wait to be seated wasn't a long wait nor was the wait for our food. I had the onion rings and they were tasty! My boyfriend got the fries and those were delicious. We both got the Virgil burger and ate the whole burger. Super good!

This was the earliest opening breakfast spot in Tombstone this morning. A few tourists like me waiting outside with a couple of locals. The doors opened on time and we were inside. Tables were clean and ready. Warm and friendly service at this easy and simple place. There's all sorts of stuff on the menu but I stuck to the classic "Cowboy Omelet" which is stuffed with sausage, grilled onions, green chilies and cheese. A solid portion and served with home fries and toast. And coffee. Lots of coffee. Reasonably priced and the food came out quickly, cooked to order and served by a lovely waitress who was also just getting her day started. Top notch meal and $20 with a tip. Yes, you should always be overtipping your breakfast server. [Review 17496 overall - 83 in Arizona - 1014 of 2022.]

Freshly arrived from checking-in to our nearby hotel and thirsty from the 8-hour drive, our party decided to grab cocktails and a bite to eat somewhere along Allen Street. We quickly realized that most shops and businesses close around 5 o'clock (which was approaching), so choosing the Longhorn, with its extended hours and large menu, was a no-brainer. We started with a couple of Bloody Marys and a blooming onion appetizer. The Marys weren't particularly spicy but were well-made and traditionally garnished. For an extra charge ($5.00, I believe) you could even purchase a souvenir glass. The blooming onion was also prepared well - not greasy - and came with a tasty dipping sauce I also used on other foodstuffs later. For dinner, my wife and I split the Dunkin' Burger (with french fries) while our friends ordered the New York Steak, baked potato, and a salad. I, personally, didn't think the dipping au jus did anything for our burger since the Angus patty was flavorful and the Texas Toast was soft and crunchy, so I opted to spread some of the onion's heretofore mentioned dipping sauce on it, instead. No complaints from our friends on their steak, which was still sizzling upon presentation and came with a large dollop of garlic butter. Do note, the Longhorn charges a plate-splitting fee, but we were informed of this in advance. We waddled out stuffed and satisfied. The following morning, we found that most businesses didn't open until 10 o'clock; so, being early risers, back it was to the Longhorn for breakfast! I was really blown away by the Country Fried Angus Steak and Eggs I ordered. Hefty, thick yet tender, and topped with a rich country gravy, the steak took up the entire plate (leaving room for the eggs only on top of it all). My wife's simple order of French Toast and bacon paled in comparison, though it was equally to her liking. It was a great way to start our long-anticipated day of exploring Tombstone's shops and attractions. The restaurant's decor beckons diners to explore Tombstone's history through the period photographs, artwork, and artifacts that adorn the walls in the two main dining areas. The backlit stained-glass murals are beautiful, casting a golden glow throughout the interior, and the furnishings perfectly reinforce the town's western motif. Another praiseworthy facet of the Longhorn Restaurant is the staff. Our two servers, Melissa for dinner and Shelby for breakfast the following morning, were so sweet. Melissa, learning we had just arrived into town, offered to snap several seated photos of us, and Shelby gave us a variety of suggestions for points of interest, attractions, and events that would be taking place the day we were there. Our sincere appreciation is extended to both these friendly, hardworking ladies! In all, we really enjoyed both our visits to the Longhorn Restaurant. Prices were actually cheaper than what we anticipated in a town relying largely on tourist dollars, the food and service were on point, and the overall vibe fell right in line with what a lover of western history would expect. Thanks to all; we hope to visit you again next trip!

It was worth the wait, and our only regret is that we hadn't prioritized trying it sooner. Everything was magical, from the laid-back, hippie atmosphere of the street it resides on to the experience once inside the establishment. What makes this even more notable, and further enhances the experience, is the lack of similar dining establishments in deep southern Arizona. One can find fine dining in Tucson, over an hour away and far too far for a simple evening out. That's not to say there aren't decent or good restaurants in Cochise County. However, none excel in all aspects of an evening out experience, from greeting to service to the quality of the meal. We had a reservation and were seated immediately at the only table open in the restaurant. That is a plus for their table management. Within two minutes, our waiter appeared with water and bread. Expressing our joy at this proper start to the meal is impossible. In eight years of living in southern Arizona, we have often observed management and wait staff at other establishments taking five minutes or more to arrive at the table. That delay typically foreshadows a lack of basic service that follows. The bread basket featured freshly baked country bread, accompanied by a small plastic ramekin of butter. We would have enjoyed the butter served more elegantly, but that is a minor matter. The bread was excellent. We had heard that the restaurant's appetizers are a highlight and decided to try three: a fresh bacon, apple, arugula, and beet salad, Mussels Meuniere (which were specials), and Arancini. The salad was beautifully composed with just the right amount of dressing to highlight the flavors of the ingredients. The Arancini may have been the best I have ever had. Perfectly fried balls of tender risotto set in a delicious tomato sauce were an unexpected treat. The mussels, unfortunately, were the low point of the meal. Overcooked and rubbery mussels in a tepid sauce that lacked depth and flavor were a major disappointment. Still, that was the only disappointment of the evening and didn't detract from the rest of the meal. We chose two specials for our main course. My wife selected the Salmon topped with a deconstructed Clams Casino. I opted for chicken cutlets topped with eggplant and a dollop of pesto, served in a rich Roman mushroom tomato sauce. The Salmon was incredible. Perfectly cooked and nestled on a plate expertly nappeed with a sublime sauce, it alone excited the palate. But when topped with a well-made clam casino mixture, the dish became an epicurean delight. The chicken was masterfully prepared and was highlighted by the silky-textured eggplant that topped it. The Roman mushroom tomato sauce was well made, my only minor comment being that a different choice of mushrooms might have taken the dish to another level. That said, I would order it again, and probably will if it's on the menu when we return. The dessert selection had me wishing for a larger stomach. Every item on the menu and the specials board looked enticing. We settled on a Basque Cheese cake with blackberries and bananas. We could not have asked for a finer way to end the evening. Perfectly cooked, silky cheesecake in a subtle white sauce and topped with dollops of fresh whipped cream provided just the right amount of sweet and tart to end the meal. It was hard to have a conversation or even hear the server at times because of the live music out in the common area of the space. The music was good, it was just rather loud. Otherwise the vibe of the space if enjoyable with its nostalgia and stuff. In the past I've ranked my experience five stars but I had to bring it down a notch. I had the meatloaf dinner and my husband had Copper(something) pasta dish. Both were lukewarm at best. The flavors were still good but it wasn't a hot dish by any means, and the meatloaf was a bit saltier than I remember. For the pasta dish, the warm bread was hotter than the pasta dish itself. We didn't send it back because I noticed the server was handling dishes returned to the kitchen at the next table, and our dishes weren't cold or anything, they were just warm. I still maintain they absolutely deserve four stars because I suspect the kitchen might have been having an off night and the food was very good (just the meatloaf was a tad salty). We really enjoyed the mushroom appetizer and the beer selection is excellent.
