Buckets everywhere!

Ohhh boy. We stopped here because there were literally no other options and it was already 2pm when we left the nearby national monument. We entered the restaurant to find buckets scattered all over the floors, chairs and tables to catch all the water drips coming from the ceiling. Yikes! As we entered the restaurant we heard an employee going on a rant about her workplace to another customer. Super awkward. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. The entire meal was flavorless. The portion of spaghetti was just absurdly large - it was quite literally a mount of spaghetti. The sauce tasted like it came from a metal jar of tomato sauce - not even as good as Prego. I would quite literally never return here.

We stopped in here for lunch today. I ordered the southwestern burger. You can get it in either 1/3 or 1/2 pound; I got the 1/3 pound. The burger itself was a good size and came with a generous portion of fries. Both the burger and fries were good. The fries were thin and crisp like McDonald's, but not greasy or salty. My wife ordered spaghetti and meatballs, which came with a salad. The salad was almost large enough to be a meal all on its own. The plate of spaghetti was massive; I can't imagine one person eating all of it. Unfortunately, her spaghetti was pretty bland and she only got 4 meatballs. So if you eat here, stick with the burger, not the spaghetti. I liked this place enough to come here again.

Grilled chicken sandwich with western chicken topping of bbq, bacon and an onion ring, with a side of fries.

We had a great meal here! This place was the closest restaurant to our Airbnb before getting to Willcox so we decided to give it a try. And we are so happy that we did! The food was great, and the our waitress was working hard to take care of us and the whole restaurant. My steak meal was good, my wife had an awesome chicken sandwich, and my kids loved their kids meals. We would definitely come back the next time we're in the area!!

New years eve special. Best prime rib of my life. The flavor was beyond amazing. The service was excellent. It was great.

The meal made it a very Happy new year. Finally a restaurant that lives up to our expectations. The fact that is local is just icing on the cake! And yeas there was cake with icing.

Their ribs are a feast. Also, their tacos for $1.50 on Wed. are worth the trip there.

The Longhorn Restaurant - Prime rib

Before dining at Tombstone's Longhorn Restaurant, I read the varied reviews. I'm not sure if the…read moredining experience differs due to the increased weekend crowds, but our weekday visits (yes, plural) were positive. Freshly arrived from checking-in to our nearby hotel and thirsty from the 8-hour drive, our party decided to grab cocktails and a bite to eat somewhere along Allen Street. We quickly realized that most shops and businesses close around 5 o'clock (which was approaching), so choosing the Longhorn, with its extended hours and large menu, was a no-brainer. We started with a couple of Bloody Marys and a blooming onion appetizer. The Marys weren't particularly spicy but were well-made and traditionally garnished. For an extra charge ($5.00, I believe) you could even purchase a souvenir glass. The blooming onion was also prepared well - not greasy - and came with a tasty dipping sauce I also used on other foodstuffs later. For dinner, my wife and I split the Dunkin' Burger (with french fries) while our friends ordered the New York Steak, baked potato, and a salad. I, personally, didn't think the dipping au jus did anything for our burger since the Angus patty was flavorful and the Texas Toast was soft and crunchy, so I opted to spread some of the onion's heretofore mentioned dipping sauce on it, instead. No complaints from our friends on their steak, which was still sizzling upon presentation and came with a large dollop of garlic butter. Do note, the Longhorn charges a plate-splitting fee, but we were informed of this in advance. We waddled out stuffed and satisfied. The following morning, we found that most businesses didn't open until 10 o'clock; so, being early risers, back it was to the Longhorn for breakfast! I was really blown away by the Country Fried Angus Steak and Eggs I ordered. Hefty, thick yet tender, and topped with a rich country gravy, the steak took up the entire plate (leaving room for the eggs only on top of it all). My wife's simple order of French Toast and bacon paled in comparison, though it was equally to her liking. It was a great way to start our long-anticipated day of exploring Tombstone's shops and attractions. The restaurant's decor beckons diners to explore Tombstone's history through the period photographs, artwork, and artifacts that adorn the walls in the two main dining areas. The backlit stained-glass murals are beautiful, casting a golden glow throughout the interior, and the furnishings perfectly reinforce the town's western motif. Another praiseworthy facet of the Longhorn Restaurant is the staff. Our two servers, Melissa for dinner and Shelby for breakfast the following morning, were so sweet. Melissa, learning we had just arrived into town, offered to snap several seated photos of us, and Shelby gave us a variety of suggestions for points of interest, attractions, and events that would be taking place the day we were there. Our sincere appreciation is extended to both these friendly, hardworking ladies! In all, we really enjoyed both our visits to the Longhorn Restaurant. Prices were actually cheaper than what we anticipated in a town relying largely on tourist dollars, the food and service were on point, and the overall vibe fell right in line with what a lover of western history would expect. Thanks to all; we hope to visit you again next trip!

The kitchen was very busy on a Sunday midday and it took over 45 minutes to get our food. It was worth the wait. The place was pretty busy, every table pretty much has guests so we had to wait but the wait honestly was a couple of minutes. The staff had their hands full but you would never know it - they were super kind and fast with their service. It's a decent size restaurant with indoor seating and a patio and it was nice and clean. I was craving a nice cold salad and their salad bar hit the spot! everything was crisp, cold and fresh and the blue cheese was so good. I especially loved the tea and the sweet tea they both were super refreshing and even the water tasted so good. They serve the drinks in giant mason jars which I loved. Do not skip the Brussel sprouts or the green beans! We had steak, chicken fried steak, a burger and they even had my daughter's favorite, spaghetti, and it all was a hit for us. I was enjoying it so much that I forgot to take pictures of it! This place has me wanting to take the drive from Tucson to Willcox just to enjoy another meal!

I say okay! My bad I looked at yelp and when I clicked on their "website" option it took me to Facebook. She very rudely told me she didn't write the website. Okay? Awkward. She said they only had bar food and pizza. I asked what kind of bar food, and as soon as she said chicken wings I interjected and said okay great how many! And what flavors. She is super rude on the phone, and without prompt tells me she's super busy and doesn't have "all day" to read me the entire menu. I'm like, "I'm sorry I get that there's just no visible menu to order from" and she starts berating me that she doesn't write the website. She's so incredibly rude, at this point I'm literally holding the phone with my mouth open. I ask her what her name is and she HANGS UP THE PHONE ON ME. I call back and ask to talk to the owner because that sh** was OUTRAGEOUS and she denies hanging up and suddenly insists she didn't hang up the phone. I get it's a small town but no amount of ignorance or lack of socialization calls for that level of rudeness. Next time, just say you don't take call out and maybe update your information so people don't call asking WHAT YOU SERVE.

The chips we got were warm and crispy. My enchiladas were spiced just right. I'd have them again. Service was friendly. It was hard to have a conversation or even hear the server at times because of the live music out in the common area of the space. The music was good, it was just rather loud. Otherwise the vibe of the space if enjoyable with its nostalgia and stuff. In the past I've ranked my experience five stars but I had to bring it down a notch. I had the meatloaf dinner and my husband had Copper(something) pasta dish. Both were lukewarm at best. The flavors were still good but it wasn't a hot dish by any means, and the meatloaf was a bit saltier than I remember. For the pasta dish, the warm bread was hotter than the pasta dish itself. We didn't send it back because I noticed the server was handling dishes returned to the kitchen at the next table, and our dishes weren't cold or anything, they were just warm. I still maintain they absolutely deserve four stars because I suspect the kitchen might have been having an off night and the food was very good (just the meatloaf was a tad salty). We really enjoyed the mushroom appetizer and the beer selection is excellent.

Okay, I also have to mention the salad. The salad was fresh and amazing, and just when we thought it couldn't get any better, we were served a lime palate cleanser before our entrée.
