Stopped in here after a walk in the nearby wildlife refuge. I ordered a burro asadero with chicken, green chilies, beans and cheese. The meal came with two grilled burritos. First I talked to the girl taking my order and made sure I was ordering what I wanted, but when I opened my order at home it was the wrong thing, made incorrectly with the wrong ingredients. Second the pollo was so super salty it was not edible! It was so salty it made me sick. Such a waste of money. Even the agua de Jamaica wasn't good. After eating there I talked to others and they said the place is only good for carne asada, everything else isn't smart to order. Wish I knew that before! read more

The asada was really good in a taco. I also had the adobada taco which was delicious! I would get both again. But actually I would try the burritos. I paid $8 for two tacos. Asadero El Guero is right across the Best Western and is the best late night option in town. Service is super friendly and the portions are generous. The carne asada plate was juicy and very tasty, but I realized that carne asada is too tough to eat as a fork-and-knife steak. It's better shredded in a taco or burrito. Next time I'm in town I will definitely be back for delicious Mexican food and to visit with the nice people who work there. read more

We came down from California to handle some business. After it all we decided to get Mexican food meaning we were on the border. We looked up restaurants near us with good reviews-well the reviews were deceiving...for ten dollars you would think you're getting a full size burrito not a flower tortilla taco....it was super salty with no beans, no cheese, no rice no sour cream...just azada with like a small amount of cabbage mix. I ate it in 2 bites my husband ordered a macho adobada burrito and they brought him a azada - mind you it took 30 minutes for us to get our food; here we're thinking "awe man they must be doing it right" haha well they took the little burrito back and came back alot faster this time about 15 min with the adobada - still small but tastier than the salty azada. I will say my daughter ordered a burger and it was good, fries were really good. My recommendation is get the burger there was a ton of people coming in but they all ordered burgers...I should've done that...but yea don't listen to everyone "good portions" "good price" read more
