    Double Espresso so tasty!!!

Absolutely the best Mexican food in Douglas so authentic and large portions on Thursday I ate there for lunch with the Chimichanga with red sauce and shredded beef and refried beans n rice so filling I could only eat a salad at my hotel. Today Friday I went early for breakfast and had the Eggs and green chiles and refried beans and buttered toast and Americano Coffee so filling I passed up on lunch. The service both days was excellent fast time under 10 minutes both days to have the food on the table. Busy both days but still not full great parking lot and also more parking on both streets as it sits on a corner lot very easy to find!!! Not noisy at all colorful inside and out highly recommend giving it a try. Here for two more days so I'm sure I'll be back again!!!

My favorite place to eat when in Douglas, AZ. Love the decor and the food. Always greeted with a smile. Family atmosphere. Seated quickly, drink order taken, and chips and salsa on the table before you know it. My dilemma is always choosing between the Joe burrito or the Bobby burrito. Great portions and incredible flavor.

    Delicious drink!

Food is delicious! Their coffee menu is great, too. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

I'll give credit here to the polite and prompt wait staff and cashier. And also the cleanliness and decor of the restaurant. If I were rating on the food alone I would have left 2 stars for the tacos I had. There was very little shredded beef in them, they were barely crunchy in some spots (see picture), not seasoned well, rice & beans were bland. They do have some redeeming items on the menu though. The Bobby burrito is one to try. Most of their food tends to be spicy, but I like my Mexican food that way. Give them a try... but not if you're in the mood for tacos dorados- go to The Grand Cafe or La Fiesta for your crunchy taco fix! Their seating is a bit uncomfortable also. :-/

Had to give El Chef Café a 'shot'! So glad I did! The Chai Latte was amazing! Carefully prepared and delicious! Horchata and Limonada are also on my list of faves! Authentic and super 'delicioso'! (Food here is also delicious ... one of the best eats in Douglas!)

Recommended by the front desk at the Gadsden! Here we are!

Excellent food! The beans; although a side dish, was phenomenal! The service was prompt and friendly and we had a great breakfast here. We ended up here on a recommendation from the hotel staff and they were spot on!

Big menu, lots to choose from. Excellent service but a bit of a wait. Ambiance is pure Mexican Fiesta. I like it that way.

Two words- REAL avocado. If you've been to other restaurants in the rural desert SW in the past…read morefive years or so, you know why I started with that seemingly simple statement. My husband and I tried this taco cart (a distinctive black food truck located on the D Ave side of Castro Park between 9th and 10th Streets) for the first time today. It was easily the best food we've had in Douglas, and we were blown away! So fresh and generous with both the meat and the toppings. The owner's salsa is also top notch, spicy but very edible even in quantity. The pricing was very good, particularly including all the fresh tomato and avocado slices. We tried two types of tacos, the tostada, and this fantastic loaded type of quesadilla. It was like a quesadilla on steroids (it was more like the type I make at home, packed full of meat and vegetables). My hisband also had yummy curly fries. The cook gave excellent service and he helped us pick a couple dishes when he saw we were new. The ingredients are in Spanish, so this was very helpful. The lettuce and other veggies were very fresh and had no taste of cleaners or disinfectant (like soap, etc) that we have run into at other Douglas restaurants. That comment may sound strange, but we've encountered it more than once at other establishments. We are looking forward to trying everything on the menu! This taco cart would be a hit in any city. If you are used to the desert SW customer ratings, you may have noticed a lot of people rate VERY generously. I think it's the lack of options, sort of rating-by-comparison, "grading on a curve" effect. This taco cart is a real 5 star, an LA or Seattle 5-star.
