This cute place has an excellent 100% vegan market that's well stocked with everything from snacks to staples (including beer & wine). My boyfriend and I stopped in here every day during our short trip to Bisbee. Friendly staff too. The restaurant has more limited hours but we got there for lunch on Saturday and had excellent cheeseburgers (with caramelized onions and nicely melted vegan cheese) with crispy fries. I managed to be in town this Friday when this place was open. They have delicious vegan food. Tourists love this place as it is always busy. Since I was waiting for a friend, I ordered my Cali Burrito to go. It was huge! I like the narrow and colorful decor on the patio. The cheesy sauce on my burrito was delicious. I got two meals out of it, but was a bit disappointed with how much of the bulk was from French fries. I would have preferred more black beans and spice. read more

This was such a great spot to stop in when visiting Bisbee. The food was really good and the staff was super nice.

The little restaurant and market are both dog friendly. This made me very happy. The restaurant is small and in an alleyway outside but so fun. I got the quinoa salad, which was AMAZING. Talk about a salad done right. It had guacamole, broccoli, tofu, cauliflower all seasoned perfectly. I wolfed it down. You order and the window and the kitchen staff bring it to your table. There were also options for beer which I really enjoyed as well, especially since they were mostly local. The market itself was a joyful overload to my senses. I got tons of goodies, and was spoiled with choices. I cannot wait to come back and discover new items. It was very crowded, but everybody was polite and respectful. This is a small shop with a few tables set up sort of located in a tight alley between two buildings. Their main shop has a ton of specialty foods mostly for those who are vegan or into healthy eating. The seating area was a nice place to enjoy a cup of coffee but their little cafe didn't really have anything to suite my tastes however I'm more of a burger and fries kind of guy. It's been a long while since I've eaten at Poco Restaurant (and I'm anxious to awaiting their return after winter break!) but I visited the market today and was delighted with the options! I wanted so many things, but I did grab some Made Good puffy cheddar crackers, some jerky, and some stroopwaffles (all vegan) and I can't wait to dig in. They have a small produce section, grab and go, beverages, wine, etc - ALL VEGAN. I highly recommend Poco to those that eat plant based and even those that don't! Please note that they have super limited hours (even on Saturdays they close at 4 pm). If you order at 4:01 they will NOT accommodate! At least they didn't when I was there (I got lucky and ordered at 3:52). It does take a while to get your food, and there is nothing special about any of the ingredients (basically none of the main protein ingredients are made from scratch) so I don't think it should take that long. I got a sausage burrito and it was pretty good (but I was also super hungry) and, once again, nothing I would write home about... Overall, it's a 100% vegan place in Bisbee, and it is attached to a small 100% vegan store, which is super cool but I think it should be more vegan friendly options in such a hipster town OR they should definitely consider extending their hours if they want to grow their business but maybe it's not the intent. read more

My husband and I were delighted to find this shop! The selection was great, prices reasonable for a small town, clean, mask wearing enforced which I was happy about. The owner was friendly and chatty, helpful but not intrusive. He offered help if we needed it but otherwise let us browse to our heart's content. We bought a basket full of goods. My husband got their Mushroom & Mac burrito and said it was so good it was like "portobello crack". Lol. Poco is frequently delicious, and has been on my permanent list of places to go to when visiting Bisbee for years and years. But the reason I'm writing this review is because this weekend, Bisbee was besieged by hordes of maskless visitors--inside stores, outside, everywhere--and they were allowed to do whatever they wanted. Poco was the only business I saw enforcing mask requirements and limiting the number of people allowed inside at any given time. The President had been diagnosed with COVID and, somehow, this emboldened anti-maskers. I don't quite follow the logic, but that's *exactly* what happened. My wife and I split a burger and a crunch wrap (I still insist this vegan recreation of the Crunch Wrap is better than the original), and it was so good. read more

Went here yesterday 10/3/2020. They're the ONLY business in town that is actually enforcing the mask ordinance. They did an amazing job with limiting people in their store and making sure people are wearing masks. I actually saw an employee turn away a group of three people who thought they could waltz in without wearing masks. GOOD ON THEM FOR DOING THAT. Apparently no other business in Bisbee has the guts to tell these anti-maskers the word NO. Good on POCO for doing the right thing. We were so excited to come here because my sister-in-law is vegan and gluten free and this was a place that could accommodate her. We ordered around 12:45 and did not get our food until 2:30. There is one person in the kitchen and they are not equipped to handle the amount of tables they have. The food is good and we were satisfied with our meals. But we ended up spending a large part of our day here and did not intend for that. If you are looking to spend the whole day here then go for it. Hands down my favorite place to eat when I'm in Bisbee. First tried it in 2018 and now whenever I visit it's the place I'm most excited to eat. Everyone is incredibly kind and the food is amazing. My favorite thing to get is the ranchero burrito. Whenever I fly home I always make sure I've got one super cold and ready to go with me. The market is super cute and they carry a ton of different options, it's like there's always something new to try. Great local small business and always a pleasure to go there. The day we went, only the market was open. They had a 'to go' refrigerator with a variety of lunch item. We saw burritos and said we'd come back on our way out. Of course we forgot and were out of downtown when we remembered, but we turned around and went back. I took the Asian beef burrito and my partner had a mac and cheese burrito. First bite of the Asian beef was so delicious! There was a bit of spice I could tell. Unfortunately the heat kept building. I ate half. Next day I unwrapped my burrito from its tortilla and added a little avocado ranch dressing. Delicious! Mac and cheese was great also, no hot sauce. I eat plant based about 90% of the time, but my teens would usually turn their noses up at a vegan only restaurant... not so here at Poco. I'm not vegetarian or vegan, but I'm not averse to eating a bit healthier from time to time. With that in mind we decided to give Poco a try after hearing good things about it. I opted for the quinoa salad which was assorted greens, tofu, quinoa with dressing. I have to say it was impressive. Tasty and generously portioned. My wife opted for the burger (meatless) and fries. I have tried my share of veggie burgers and this one was the most meaty tasting, non-meat food items I have ever eaten. It was quite deceiving in a delicious way. Poco is a little joint in the central corridor in Bisbee, on Main street. There is a hidden "hall" with some vendors and this vegan gem called Poco. The patio is basically a few tables and a corrugated tin awning with a farm table and really cute, yet random decor. I would copy this for my backyard in a hot minute. The owner (I think she is the owner) is very kind and attentive. Service is fast, yet the fare does not suffer from "fast food syndrome". The menu isn't expansive, but it has some great things on there: quesadillas, nachos, nuggets, salad.....BOOZE. J and I had the special mango mimosas, which were absolutely delicious. We each had two, as a matter of fact. We also shared a quesadilla. Here is where I believe that Poco fell short; at least for me. I am not a Daiya fan, and the vegan cheese was undoubtedly Daiya. J couldn't stomach it, so I choked down the slices by my lonesome. They were saved by good salsa and crispy tortillas. I may come here again, but I don't know that J would, because he only does real meat and cheeses. But to stop for a beverage...absol-freaking-lutely. read more

Vegan food is not what comes to mind when I think of a hearty full meal. I am happy to say I am wrong. Poco is a small hipster looking eatery with great patio style seating. There is limited eating inside as well which came to use as it was exceptionally rainy on our visit. The burrito was large and satisfying. It was stuffed with French fries and sausage. Tasted extremely fresh. The chilaquiles were the show stealer at the table. It is a huge plate of salad with a load of tortilla squares smothered in a delicious tortilla sauce with chorizo. It is an impressive dish that everyone was eager to get a bite of. The dish was not over spiced like many vegetarian places tend to do. Well balanced and hearty. The 'chick'n' sandwich is the smallest portion of the three but the imitation chicken made of a pea protein was so well made and grilled by the chef that my friend swears up and down that it was real chicken. It was only after a careful dissection and the input of the chef did we manage to convince him it was vegan. In summary, great atmosphere. Vegan food that has shattered my preconceptions of a meal with no meat. Will definitely be visiting again. read more

Friends, you screwed up mightily when you named this place. In Spanish "poco" means little and there is NOTHING little or small about the flavors that the magicians er, chefs coax out of these vegan treasures. I had the carnitas-style tacos and my beau had the chorizo burrito and both were full to bursting with rich, developed flavors. My tacos were layered with seitan chunks, cabbage, other veggies, a spicy mole sauce and a squeeze of lime over all of it, just like real carnitas only without the burnt animal carcass and sadness. I was in piggy mode (vegan and organic in the mountains after cheese-laden junk Mexican in Tucson, I'm going to EAT) and had the soup too, a rich creamy sweet potato business that was all pleasure. I want to move to Bisbee and write terrible but popular detective novels and eat at Poco at least once a day on my walk around this crazy little town. Yup, that's my plan. read more

On my first visit, I ordered the Mexican Chorizo (Soy of course) Pizza, and my boyfriend ordered the Fried Avocado Tacos. Both dishes were bold with flavor, filling, and fresh. We finished the meal with a Vegan Chocolate Cupcake which did not disappoint. We decided to go back for brunch the next day, with only a bit of enticement from the promise of Mango Mimosa's. I had the Soy Benedict, topped with local kale and egg-less Hollandaise sauce, on a bed of potatoes, while my boyfriend had the Chilaquiles. Each are respectively one of our favorite breakfast dishes, so there could have easily been room for disappointment; but again we were both in awe at how enjoyable we found, not only the food, but the entire experience. And I would have been happy to sip the Mimosa's all day. If you live in or near Bisbee and haven't been to Poco, it's time you check this place out. "Nom nom nommm" - the sound I made while eating at Poco. My two favorite types of restaurants - Mexican and vegetarian - have finally come together at Poco! Walking in to this place was a bit of a whirl wind - its down a tiny alley way and the place is filled with bright colors, 5 cooks busy in a tiny kitchen, people shouting "hello" and "welcome," and fresh vegan cupcakes being baked - it was magical. The staff here was SUPER friendly and gave us some awesome tips for our first time in Bisbee. We felt a very warm welcome from all of them. The food here is great - I actually finished my entire plate - something I usually have trouble doing. The sliced fruit that came with it was ripe-for those of you that are sick and tired of the "garnish" on your plate being cold and hard, Poco got it right! The hibiscus tea was delicious, but small for two dollars in my opinion. If I lived anywhere near Bisbee, Poco would be on my weekly go to list. You will NOT be disappointed!! The ladies running this awesome little vegan food stand are really nice ! All seating is outdoors, but everything is mostly under some sort of shade, you order your food and they bring it out to you. Place is located in a cute little eclectic alley off the main street, when we visited on a Sunday, there were 3 vendors in that alley that were selling jewelry, spices and coffee. Seating area is dog friendly too.... that's always a plus. Really neat spot off of Main street with cute outdoor decor in an alley. We had the Quesadilla Tacos which were amazing! Picture ooey gooey melted vegan cheese between two layers of tortilla, then folded to be stuffed fresh vegetables and amazing flavor. I also had the the Quinoa Salad just going for the healthy option, but that also ended up being really delicious with lightly creamy quinoa atop a salad bed, then topped with a mountain of cooked vegetables and guacamole. Definitely one of the most delicious salads I've had. Don't be turned away even if you're a meat lover, everything here is packed with amazing, unique flavor. A must try when you're down in Bisbee!
