Chicken flautas.
Connie G.

I stopped in for Sunday lunch after a walk around Bisbee. I was surrounded by loud Spanish chatting as soon as I walked in. The place was busy. I shared my table with another local woman, Rita, as I sat by myself and there were no other open spots for Rita who came in after me. The interior looks like a diner south of the border: simple decor with one wall TV playing the Duke-Indiana State basketball game which ISU lost. I ordered a chicken burrito with rice and beans on the side. Rita had chicken flautas which she said she has several times a week. My meal was good. The chicken wasn't spiced enough for my liking and I should have asked for salsa. My bad. The rice was bland but the beans were good. My meal was only under $12, so at least it was reasonably priced. The place serves Coke products on tap and nine different bottled beers. I just had water. Service was fast and friendly enough. The servers were busy, too.

Supposed to be a fresh crispy taco it's a crispy taco shell that was purchased at a grocery store

My husband's three flautas meal were taquitos and not big ones were talking tiny corn tortillas that looks like they had been frozen before frying with just the tiniest little tiny bit meat. They were an appetizer, not a meal and they were not flautas! 10 minutes after we ordered that came and said oh somebody just came and ordered all of our Rice so can we give you extra beans or french fries we asked if they could give us guacamole instead. Funny thing never got rice extra beans, french fries or guacamole. They just shorted us same as true from my dad's Rice! My tacos made Taco Bell taste, and look authentic! After we were done, we went to Burger King so that my husband could get some food! Quite seriously less than 10 minutes from the Mexican border and I get better Mexican food in Washington!

This place is, like most places in the area, a little slow. That being said the staff is friendly and they have a pretty good menu with daily specials and all the Sonoran favorites. They have a drive though for to go orders and if you are in a hurry I recommend calling ahead and using that. Despite looking like a quick/counter service place they provide full table service just grab a table that isn't dirty and relax.

Y'all, this is a fun treat! I'm here visiting from S. Texas, so I had to try some local Mexican food. The fideo and Momoa burrito (bacon wrapped burrito) were very tasty. Service was prompt and friendly as well. Make the trip to try it!

It was hard to have a conversation or even hear the server at times because of the live music out in the common area of the space. The music was good, it was just rather loud. Otherwise the vibe of the space if enjoyable with its nostalgia and stuff. In the past I've ranked my experience five stars but I had to bring it down a notch. I had the meatloaf dinner and my husband had Copper(something) pasta dish. Both were lukewarm at best. The flavors were still good but it wasn't a hot dish by any means, and the meatloaf was a bit saltier than I remember. For the pasta dish, the warm bread was hotter than the pasta dish itself. We didn't send it back because I noticed the server was handling dishes returned to the kitchen at the next table, and our dishes weren't cold or anything, they were just warm. I still maintain they absolutely deserve four stars because I suspect the kitchen might have been having an off night and the food was very good (just the meatloaf was a tad salty). We really enjoyed the mushroom appetizer and the beer selection is excellent.

For well under $100 total?? Mike, the owner/chef/server is extraordinary. His dishes, totally inspired. I work in the service industry. He made dinner an absolute "moment" and I think that's hard to achieve these days. Unbelievable, you cannot leave this off of your itinerary. You have to try it out before he blows up and there's a huge line out the door. We will never forget about the pumpkin curry bowl, pesto pasta, or ramen birria. The margarita tasted like soapwater and the mole dish barely had any mole on it. We both left disappointed. Now the sign has been replaced with "Main Street Bistro" so we decided to try this place again. We did not have margaritas, but settled with water. I had a chicken remix burrito and my friend had a quesadilla with beef consume. The paper menu was hard to read with the green print on white background. Mike was our server. He was friendly enough but not very attentive. He seemed busy with other things. We had to ask for more water. My burrito was a small burrito served with just a small slice of lime. It looked so barren on the plate. It was tasty enough, though. Luckily I wasn't too hungry as I had lunch today at 9am and it was now 5pm. My friend enjoyed her quesadilla. The place was empty. We were the only two people in the restaurant. There was a private party in the back with the fireplace but no other customers. We had to put up with the same dance music playing in the background. The music was either for the owner, or for the people in the private room. There are plenty of vegan dishes on the menu, so for a vegan, this may be a nice place to dine, but we left a little unimpressed. Mike seems to be doing all the cooking himself with no additional help.

It felt so special, like we had our own little corner of Bisbee to enjoy the evening. We started with the appetizer sampler, and every single bite was incredible. Each item was thoughtfully prepared and absolutely delicious. It set the tone for what turned out to be an unforgettable meal. For our entrées, my husband ordered the duck and could not stop raving about it. It was perfectly cooked, rich, and full of flavor. I had the Chilean sea bass, and I'm still thinking about it. It was cooked to absolute perfection. It was tender, buttery, and it truly melted in my mouth. As if that wasn't enough, it was paired with prawns and lobster ravioli... just beyond delicious. Okay, I also have to mention the salad. The salad was fresh and amazing, and just when we thought it couldn't get any better, we were served a lime palate cleanser before our entrée. Such a thoughtful and elevated touch. We were honestly blown away. Our server was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive. It made the entire experience feel warm and personal It's rare to come across service that truly enhances a meal like that. And dessert... the crème brûlée was to die for. We paired it with a 10-year tawny port, and it was the perfect ending. It was smooth, rich, and indulgent in all the best ways. This was more than just dinner; it was an experience. Café Roka delivered excellence from start to finish, and we will absolutely be back. To our wonderful server: May kindness you give return to you tenfold, May your path be light, your days be warm, And may every table you serve be filled with gratitude and joy.
