Exceptionally good, very good in an exceptionally deceiving façade! This is by far the best place to have an early morning breakfast. This outdoor location boasts it all with a restored and unique 1957 Valentine diner of old Americana, an old 1950s style Airstream for a bar (really cool), Dots and Dashes Bar, pretty comfy picnic style seating, swamp coolers to keep you comfortable, wide-open space, an enormous tent to keep you protected from the Arizona sun and a stage for kids to perform and the occasional locals to serenade from. The diner sits at the heart of a classic American trailer court, with a few classic cars, some retro RVs, and even an historic boat. Dining outdoors beneath umbrellas or under a swamp cooler air-conditioned tent, where the retro music and ambient setting creates a dynamic 1950s mood. Their breakfasts are great - and unique. Especially their Pork Belly Breakfast Sammi is fantastic, consisting of a perfectly prepared pork belly, arugula, a sriracha aioli and egg on a brioche bun, as is their Screwdriver - you can actually taste Vodka! My wife had the fab perfectly smoked brisket tacos prepared with an incredible salsa verde, fried egg, queso fresco and black beans. Oh, btw, their home fries are to die for! I stopped by today, a Saturday, at 1:15pm. It was not busy. I was seated under the tent with other customers around. It was only in the mid 50s. Service was friendly but I had the feeling one server took me from another server. I ordered a cheese burger and a glass of water. The water had an unpleasant aftertaste. The burger was OK. I ordered It well done and the owner told me she made sure It came out like a hockey puck. Luckily It came out fine and not hard and dry like a hockey puck. The burger came to $17.88, a bit pricey, but part of the bill included a 9.6% Bisbee sales tax. This was my first time here. I thought it was OK, but the menu is limited. I gave it 4 stars for the service. It's a cute thing to visit for the tourists, but the separate wall now around Dot's Diner cuts out the view into the Shady Dell RV park. read more

I visited Dot's Diner a few months ago while recovering from an accident that left me temporarily in a wheelchair. My husband and I chose Dot's because I could sit outside with my service dog. Although getting the wheelchair over the stony terrace was a bit tricky, once we were settled, I couldn't have been happier. The staff was absolutely wonderful--kind, attentive, and thoughtful to both me and my dog. They brought water for him, made sure he wasn't getting too hot, and did everything they could to ensure we were comfortable and well taken care of. As exceptional as the service was, the food may have been even better. I consider myself something of a hamburger/cheeseburger connoisseur, and in this most unexpected spot, I think I may have had the best cheeseburger of my life! Thanks to Dot's Diner and its incredible staff, I will always carry a fond memory of Bisbee. Thank you. read more

all hat and no cattle went for breakfast today. they weren't too busy. first person's breakfast came out. 15 minutes later, the next person's dish came out, 10 minutes later the 3rd person and finally after another 10 minutes the last person's food arrived. as crazy as that is, they were offended when i (former owner of restaurants) mentioned this. plus, you have to get up and get your own water. wont go back there again. the old dot's of 30 years ago was a treasure- now it's just some hipster destination running on 'vibes'. would not recommend. read more

Who knew you had to go to a trailer park for the best food in AZ? Dot's Diner was a really interesting and memorable experience. It sits right next to a vintage trailer lodge, which is super cute on its own, and all the dining is outdoors - some at picnic tables, some inside a heated tent. It's not really a "diner" in the traditional sense, which is a bit misleading, because the food is way beyond diner fare. The coffee and Bloody Mary were excellent, but the breakfast sandwiches absolutely stole the show. This is true foodie-level cooking. We even joked that it tasted like a Portland (OR) brunch spot... and later found out the chef actually is from Portland. That explains it! Don't come here expecting old-school diner food. Come here for a full-on gastronomical brunch with excellent service. Our only complaint? We wish they served dinner. (Apparently there are dinner events during the winter and that's definitely on the to-do list if we return) read more

Lovely!!! This was just such a cool experience. We went for breakfast while visiting Bisbee. I got the loaded hash browns and my friend got the pork belly breakfast sammie. The staff are so friendly! You sit outside, but the tables are covered for shade. The pricing is quite decent for the delicious food they serve. So many fun food and drink options! We also shared some cinnamon churros that were so good they felt illegal. I'll be recommending this spot to anyone I know headed to Bisbee. read more

Dinner, we were fortunate to be here on Valentine's Day and they had a special dinner service. Wow was it great! High quality steak cooked just right. A potato dish that was so well crafted. However breakfast and brunch is where they stand out. Staying at the shady dell means you can walk over for breakfast, coffee, and a morning drink or two if you are up for it. Service is friendly and well done. You will get to know them and enjoy the casual nature of the place. Ambiance, what can I say. An old-fashioned diner but you eat outside. I would love to give this place a higher star rating as it is super cute, and certainly a favorite among the locals with it's retro buildings and cars out front. There is live music some nights, and if you like neon lighting than you can't go wrong here. Unfortunately the prices and the food here spoiled it for me. The prices were rude, and the food could certainly be better. I mean the cheese curds weren't bad, but in placing an order for a burger they advised that they come with pickles, lettuce and tomato. Nobody mentioned the 'secret sauce' they put on their burgers however, which was just a horrific mess. It overflowed the burger and overpowering my taste buds. I couldn't really taste anything but the secret sauce which wasn't wonderful at all. The other off-putting thing, and I mean super off-putting, was the fly light and hanging fly glue strips like you used to see back in the day. Both were visible through the diner's windows where they make the food and so super filthy and nasty that it was just a super turn off. I mean like take a minute and consider what your customers see when they look into the grill area! How they could let this stand is just a complete mystery to me. read more

Seating is outside at round umbrella tables. So beware the weather. We ordered mimosas and Bloody Marys. Our lunch choices were Blt, chicken sandwich, And two Dot's burgers. All came with crispy fries. Delish! Generous potions and served hot. There are bathrooms available in a separate bldg. a great place for a casual, enjoyable lunch. Really cute atmosphere and the food was quite good. It's off the hustle and bustle of the main town area . I don't think you'd know it's there by driving by. I thought it was going to be a food truck situation but there is a little cottage there and several of those old 60's style trailers -(airstreams I think ) and they had servers. atmosphere was done in the cutest way. Food was fresh and good. I didn't see any indoor seating but there was a large tent with tables so not sure if it was temperature controlled because we sat fully outside in a table with an umbrella it was a little windy but the temperature was great. We loved this place. It's a little out of the way from Old Town Bisbee but that was nice because we avoided the tourists during our meal. The food was spectacular. I ordered the pork belly sandwich with home style potatoes and I was in heaven. It had a fried egg on top so the runny yolk took it over the top. My husband had the breakfast special and he said the English muffins on his plate were the best he'd ever had. One of the boys had chicken and waffles and the other kid had the burger. They both finished every bite. The establishment is really cute. We plan on booking a stay there soon. read more

Dot's Diner was our breakfast destination after coming down from Tucson to spend the night at the Gym Club Suites. I'd been curious to try Dot's food after seeing some pics of their menu items that looked delicious. I also knew from Stanhope's podcast that it was worth checking out. We arrived on a Sunday morning at 10am and it appeared that the first round of breakfast eaters were on their way out. Perfect. We ordered and got a table easily, and enjoyed our coffee from Exo Roasters in Tucson, and awaited our breakfast tacos & the sugared donuts on special that day. The tacos arrived and looked amazing, with double corn tortillas (legit), and a side of tasty potatoes. The tacos were so insanely flavorful that I didn't snap a picture of them, instead I dove in like a fiend. So good, so satisfying, wow. The donuts arrived after we'd forgotten about them -- delicious fried biscuit dough with cinnamon sugar -- and we happily plowed through them as well. The sunshine was perfect, the setting was calm & relaxed. Truly a dream breakfast. Is it too much to hope that Dot's might open a Tucson location some day? This place is phenomenal. The specials are well thought out dishes you'd see in hip spots in Portland, yet priced like small town America. Well seasoned, fun combinations, perfect pancakes, and the bacon is to die for. If they have the chicken and waffles, do it. Now! The best part is the ambiance and vibe. You feel like you're sitting at a roadside diner, in LA, in the 60's. Spanish versions of vintage pop music play through the retro speaker on the side of the buil. You're sat in the middle of a vintage RV park. They serve cheerwine and other throwback sodas. The diner itself is in a tiny, tiny vintage diner building which is lovingly restored and perfectly retro. Service was excellent. This place is one of my best foodie experiences ever.
