We just had a fabulous meal, reminiscent of the old fashioned shiny dinner but with a twist -we ate outside in a toasty heated event tent, with laid back people and cheap but delicious cocktails! Once I explained to the server, clearly, about my food allergy, she went over the moon to help me choose something safe for me to eat. If you're looking for a lighter, healthier alternative, I'd probably pass, but otherwise, it's the hangover breakfast you're looking for. I'd definitely recommend! read more

This is a love/hate review. Hands down 5/5 for outdoor ambiance and layout. Very welcoming and kept nicely tidy. A bonus... live music! Now for the... food/service/price. 1/5. We apparently walked in just when two groups had shown up 2-5 minutes prior. They too awaiting service. The service wasn't prompt however the young lady was very polite. Menu. Seemed limited yet had a good mixture of items. From rancho heuvos... to burger... to chicken waffles. We ordered what we thought would come out quickly... that's NOT the case... 40 minutes of waiting and asking for our side/appetizer and bye the end being told... one grill top?!? So with three guys in the kitchen, and one grill top... orders came out pathetically slow. So slow that a gentleman who brought his four kids out, arrived minutes after us... had to take his food... in "Togo" bags because he had to be somewhere within a time frame. The live music really masked the food delays. Once that ended you could see the other two tables looking around and wondering just how long it was taking. My friends order was just badly prepared and was over cooked for $17 a bowl of disappointment. My fried chicken sandwich was nonexistent! The breading was so overwhelming that I think I had maybe an oz of chicken. Up side, the condiments were a plus. Our fried Brussels sprouts had a good taste and would be better with maybe Parmesan cheese... I think the grease needs some changing out as well... I say because still burping up fried after taste. Great breakfast and lunch, with rotating specials and creations from the chef in addition to the regular menu, which is known for fresh ground burgers, breakfast burritos and vegan options. Friday nights are taco nights and the tacos are out of this world delicious. Saturday night are for BBQ and it's better than anything I've had in Texas. Not to mention this place has a full bar of quality cocktails with fresh ingredients such as fresh squeezed juices and beautiful garnishes. My personal favorites are the painkiller and the Old Fashioned. You can usually catch live music here on Friday and Saturday nights as well as Sunday brunch. Just an adorable little spot, with great food. Found this cute hideaway on Yelp and decided to check it out. Really wanted the cob salad pictures from last year, looks amazing. They stopped making them awhile ago. Maybe they bring back in the summer, hopefully. We both got the western tour burger with bacon, cheese, onion rings, bbq sauce, and pickles. Very good. We were staying at the Shady Dell in Bisbee so it was not not just convenient, it only seemed appropriate to stop in to Dot's Diner for breakfast since it's on the property. Awesome old school diner with outdoor seating. The food far exceeded expectations. We had the steak and egg sandwiches, potatoes and coffee. Everything was perfect. Potatoes nicely seasoned with onions, steak (tri tip) with what seemed to be an herbal basil sauce with chesse that was amazing. There is a cool old aluminum diner there, but customers not allowed to dine inside. The flies outside were annoying. Our first visit since Charlie the Pieman ran the place. This old school diner is just a short drive from Bisbee's main attractions. Right now there is only outdoor seating. You order at the window of the classic diner and they bring it out to you in the courtyard area. There isn't a lot of seating but we got lucky and snagged a table. Quaint, adorable, delicious. An old friend, Doug Stanhope took me here after a long night of vodkas...into the next morning vodkas. We shared a sausage omelette with extra sausage, the sausage was THICK and hearty, oozing delicious cheddar came out the omelette and we enjoyed that. Stopped in to see the trailer park, saw the diner and decided to give it a try. We ordered biscuits and gravy with potatoes and scrambled eggs. First appearance, the gravy looked thin and a pinkish color. The eggs were "cooked" like an omelet and let me tell you how disappointed/discussed I was to bite into them and have them explode/ooze raw egg into my mouth, so glad we had napkins. The potatoes tasted and felt like they were leftovers from the day before. I dont even know where to start with the biscuits and gravy.....yuck just, yuck! Absolutely great experience! My mom wants the staff to know they made her day! Dot's is an outdoor diner next to the Shady Dell. Which is a motel with old fashion, 50's era trailers as the rooms. It's like eating at Radiators Springs! There's lots of smiling families and fun staff. They even had corn-hole! But of course the food is what really matters and they do it right! I HATE restaurant pancakes but these were amazing! We also had delicious breakfast tacos, an excellent breakfast burger, and chicken-n-waffles, and we shared a surprisingly good cinnamon roll! The fries are pretty good and I'm a bit judgmental when it comes to fries. They also put bread-and-butter pickles on my burger, which was a super weird move, but I enjoyed it! It also had an egg and green chilies with a very delicious brioche bun. And now I'm hungry again! Very fun, very passionate people that make these meals. Highly recommended. read more

Best breakfast place around! Recently Doug Stanhope had to head back to the workforce and went from busboy to management within just a few hours. Even though we are pretty sure he steals cases of tomatoes out of the walk-in cooler it doesn't change the fact it's the best breakfast you can get in this area hands down. I am pretty sure that this is the only place in America that one can still order Blowout Patches smothered in Axle Grease and wash it down with Sweet Alice, and not get escorted to the nearest loony bin. I want to live at the sweet Airstream trailer park on the property (Shady Dell), which is actually a motel in which the rooms are Airstream Trailers. The lady owner was nice enough to give us a tour of a "room" even though the trailers were booked solid for a wedding. I accidentally told her that I want to be her, that was kind of embarrassing. I recommend not doing that. The foods not bad either! The limited menu of classic American Breakfast and lunch staples is about half vegetarian friendly, and the food comes from local and organic sources. They also have a variety of retro soda pops that are served in the bottle. Gee Whiz! If you are a total geek for 50's nostalgia, I'd hightail it down to Bisbee and enjoy this wonderful spot. read more

We had some good food in Bisbee, but the best meal we had was breakfast at Dot's Diner. The surroundings have tons of vintage charm, with the Airstreams of the campground and 50s style signage and decor. My wife had jambalaya with fried eggs, and I had a breakfast burrito. Both were excellent. And definitely don't miss the cinnamon donuts! I highly recommend this during your stay in Bisbee. The owners were around and were really friendly as well. read more
