Pancakes were nice & fluffy, philly cheesteak omelette had great flavor, just wish the steak portion was bigger for the price & hoped for the hashbrowns to be crispier. Moved to the area recently. Been to this Denny's twice so far. Both times service was really friendly and prompt. The food is your standard Denny's food. It's pretty good, but nothing special. But as good as expected. I like their unlimited hot chocolate! I had 3 of them the first visit! They also have a value slam for just $6.99. You can get toast, pancakes, French toast, or biscuits & gravy included. I like their French toast. Not a fan of the biscuits & gravy. First time I had them. Not horrible, but I'd stick to the French toast. They have turkey bacon, which is important for my wife because she doesnt eat pork. Eggs were cooked correctly, wife gets scrambled with cheese, I get over easy. Overall, it's a good place to get some breakfast... or lunch or dinner, but I haven't had much of their lunch or dinner offerings to comment on.

Our server was great but unfortunately found a hair in my food, this is the second time this happens and I tried to give Denny's the benefit of the doubt. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This location specifically is not the most sanitary when it comes to utensils, cups and the food itself.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Very mid. Save ur money and if you're looking for late night food, I'd get jack and the box over this lol.

Took my wife to the Denny's in Alhambra for Sunday brunch. On the way there, the struggle was not finding updated menu, so here are the updates pages on the menu as of July 2025. I had the sirloin steak and eggs, steak was cooked just right, juicy and flavorful. Only regret? I should've swapped the toast for pancakes. My wife got the Philly cheesesteak omelette and loved it. The portion was huge, she couldn't finish it, so we took the rest home along with her toast. We had to wait quite a bit for a table because they were busy, which us understandable for a Sunday brunch time, but the service and the server, Noy, was nice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's not fancy, but it hit the spot for a casual brunch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We'll probably be back next time we're craving a hearty, no-frills breakfast.

I came in on a Friday night and there was a steady flow of people waiting to dine in or pick up their food. They were understaffed with only one cook and one server for a weekend night. For a party of 2, we waited over 30 minutes to get seated. We ordered the bacon avocado cheeseburger, cobb salad, and buttermilk pancakes. The beef on the cheeseburger was *chefs kiss* kissed to perfection and very juicy. The fries were crispy. The cobb salad wasn't my favorite, bc the bacon was overcooked and there was too much iceberg lettuce. BUT I was a huge fan of the balsamic vinaigrette. The buttermilk pancakes were warm and fluffy, and the whipped butter and maple syrup made them even better. Don't sleep on those pancakes! read more

Last week my job was celebrating Customer Service Week and served everyone in office breakfast. We decided to go with Dennys due to proximity. Let's start off with what didn't go well because the latter made up for it. We needed the breakfast order for 21 ready on a Tuesday morning. Because I felt like the restaurant would need advance notice for the order, I called the Monday before. The entire process what tiring. I called the first time and was advised to call back next day to the catering number (which is the same number but a different option LOL). Why not just transfer me? I called back again to the catering number (still Monday) and Angela told me to try back in an hour. I tried again after the hour and a male staff asked me a bunch of questions, like if I could go in to place the order that day. When I asked if I could just put the order online, he said yes, but I could also call in the order (umm isn't this what I was doing now?). At the end of the conversation, I decided to just place the order online ahead of the day. What went well...the order what done on time, hot and ready to go. All 21 orders were correct with no hiccups. The packaging of their to go orders is awesome. Thank you to the cooks for getting it done right. Also, the hostess there that day (I believe her name was Teresa) was an absolute gem. People like her are who needs to be celebrated on Customer Service Week. She was friendly when I called in the morning to confirm the order, she was welcoming and to the point when I arrived, she helped me take the food out to my car. Teresa was great! Because of my interaction with her, the cooks that did a great job and the food itself, is that Dennys gets a 5 star from me. read more

At Denny's in Alhambra, I waited about 25 minutes to order. While I was waiting, I saw the waitress serving other customers who came in after me. After some time I could not wait anymore and had to flag her down so that she didn't have a choice but to take my order, as other customers would notice that nobody was taking my order. After I ordered, she never asked me if I needed anything else or if the food or anything was okay. Looking back, I should have left right after seeing she first served other customers who came in after me, because the service did NOT get better and honestly just got worse. Alhambra Denny's is the worst Denny's around. I wouldn't want to spend my hard earned money at this Denny's again. If you want to go to a family friendly restaurant in Alhambra, it's much safer to go to IHOP. read more

Me and my kids came to Denny's this morning to try to enjoy some breakfast. As we arrived to the counter the older gentleman kept asking for my name and was saying my name wrong and as we where waiting to sit down a couple walked in and was seated before use and we have been waiting for over 10 min and there was no customers at all waiting. Until I got up and told the manager what was going on and that it wasn't fair that they walk in and got seated right away while me and my kids were waiting. He told me you have to be patient I told him it's not fair. His professionalism was not there at all. He is very rude, This is very upsetting they need to retrain him how to be polite and respectful to customers. It's been 30 min now and our food haven't arrived yet. I stopped here on the way to Vegas to eat with my family. I had some of the best service at this Dennys. Our server was a Guy named Charlie. He was so awesome really down to earth. Kept my glass filled and had extra care for my kiddos. The food was great and would highly consider going back 100 percent. Next time I'm in LA I'm for sure stopping by and getting some breakfast. I don't usually give out 1 star reviews, but everything was just barely edible. I ordered a build your own gram slam and the classic benny breakfast, and portions were very small. Build your own gram slam: My scrambled eggs were cold when I got my order, pancakes were slightly burnt and very dry, and hash browns were soggy and cold too. The sausage was very peppery and fatty. I had a hard time eating this dish, 1/5. Classic Benny breakfast: We asked for over medium eggs, but the eggs were more over-easy. The muffins were dry and tough, so the dish was hard to swallow. I would rate it a 1/5. read more

The chicken teriyaki was tender and juicy, with a flavorful sweet-and-savory sauce that complemented the chicken nicely. The beef teriyaki was flavorful. The 2 spam musubis were loosely wrapped and came apart easily. The 2 mac nut pancakes were a large portion size. It was topped with a cream sauce that was not too sweet. Despite how busy the restaurant was, the staff remained friendly and hospitable. Overall, it was a satisfying and enjoyable brunch.

A huge thank you to Shawn for being so welcoming! He gave us amazing recommendations, was incredibly kind, and made our first visit even more enjoyable. The fish was cooked perfectly, but again lacking balance. The ginger oil is muted and purely decorative, lacking the sharp, sinus-clearing bite needed to wake up the dish. Without the bright, raw punch of ginger and chili, the dish tastes heavy and one-dimensional. I just wished there were more flavors and not just the taste of oil with each bite of fish and ginger. Good ingredients used, but just too heavy on the oil, too light on the aromatics. We didn't fully enjoy our meal as much as we would've liked. We might come back and try the brunch some day.

One of the Best Customer Service Experiences We've Had in Years! It's easy to write a review when something goes wrong. It's much rarer to take the time to write one because someone exceeded every expectation. That's exactly why my wife and I wanted to recognize Luis at the Denny's located at 369 W. Main Street in Alhambra. From the moment we were seated, Luis greeted us with a genuine smile, and made us feel sincerely welcomed. Throughout our visit, he was attentive, professional, friendly, and consistently checked on us without ever being intrusive. More importantly he cared for my wife and me with the same kindness and patience and respect that one would extend to members of their own loved ones. It truly felt as though we were his VIP guests. My wife ordered the delicious French toast, breakfast plate, and I enjoyed the savory chicken fried steak. The food was excellent, but what truly made our breakfast memorable was Luis's outstanding hospitality. He didn't simply take our order and deliver our meals-- he created an experience that reminded us how meaningful exceptional customer service can be. In today's world, genuine hospitality is becoming increasingly rare. Employees like Louise deserve to be recognized because they don't just serve guests-- they create loyal customers. My wife and I left with smiles in our faces, and without question, we will be returning. bitter, horrified to be exact!!!! Stay away! The location is not very clean and service is terrible. No manager of any kind. If you have a problem, don't even bother letting her know, the look on her face will let you know that she doesn't give a damn. I was confronted by a young cocky waiter, when he was in the wrong, then he charged up on an Alhambra high school student and I had to get in this idiot of a "waiter"'s face to put him in his place. All this happening while the useless manager stood by his side condoning his behavior. I am a woman who was there with my 70yr old mom and my daughter was there in their banquet room celebrating with her fellow drama friends from the high school. They had these students waiting for over an hour before they even got their food, this happened with an empty restaurant. When I questioned the manager she made lame excuses and I also mentioned that her waiter spilled an entire drink on a student without an apology or even a napkin to dry off with. My whole point was that they needed to treat these kids right, they were paying customers like everyone else. My approach with the manager was handled calmly and respectfully just to be confronted by this idiot that thought he could come to my table and get in my face. He messed with the wrong momma and found that out very quickly!!! OUTRAGEOUS! In the end, no apology, no discount, nothing! Stay away. BTW, staff, if you're going to whisper in spanish about a customer, be sure the customer doesn't understand spanish!!! Ridiculous. Special call out to the night in shining armor that came to my rescue! Thank you for backing me up and letting that waiter know he should never get in a woman's face or a high school student's face! I recently visited Denny's and had an experience that left me with mixed feelings. First and foremost, I want to commend Maria for her outstanding service and the tremendous effort she put into attending to the entire restaurant single-handedly. Despite the challenging circumstances, she remained attentive and friendly throughout my visit. However, I must express my disappointment regarding the quality of the food. As someone who tries to make healthy choices, I opted for one of the lighter options available on the breakfast menu. Unfortunately, even that choice turned out to be a greasy mess. The dish I ordered was excessively oily, making it difficult to enjoy. The french fries, in particular, were so laden with grease that I couldn't even finish them. It was disheartening to see such a lack of attention to the preparation and execution of the food. While Maria's exceptional service partially redeemed my overall experience at Denny's, the subpar quality of the food leaves me hesitant to return. It's essential for a restaurant to not only provide excellent customer service but also deliver delicious, well-prepared meals. I hope the management at Denny's takes this feedback seriously and makes improvements to ensure a more enjoyable dining experience for their customers in the future. read more

Haven't been in ages but we were craving pancakes and didn't want to drive out to far. Luckily Denny's is open 24hrs and they offered some really Great deals even though it's late night hours!! Maria the manager was our server tonight. She was amazing and offered really good suggestions to our meal decision tonight! I got the Diner Dipper entree with sliders, wings, and onion rings. She recommended the maple chili sauce for the wings and it did not disappoint! Less chili more sweet savory. The sliders included cheese, bacon, and a hefty beef patty. No condiments, but just ask and they will provide. I think pickles would go perfect on the sliders to cut some of that fat. The sweet buns were toasted in butter and was so rich, too rich for me, I got full immediately after 1 slider and struggled to eat anything else lol. But that's what happens when you get old *sigh* Parking available in the back structure or free street parking. They have a mini game room now! I came to this Denny's Restaurant very early in the morning because I had to drive to be at my company's Santa Ana office by 6 A.M, and I needed a quick, high protein breakfast not only to sustain me through the day but also to keep up with my body's recovery from some new workouts designed by my personal trainer -- Larry Brown -- at Iron Bodies Gym. I ordered the Ultimate Skillet with Chicken Breast & Six Egg Whites as substitutes for sausages and whole eggs. I also ordered a side of tortillas. My waitress -- I am terrible with names, but I think her name is Brandi -- was really sweet and efficient, and my breakfast arrived relatively quickly. Two days ago, my friend Kelly invited me to brunch and she took me to this Denny's. When we got there there was a waiting list so I went up to an employee and asked how long until we were seated" She said 5-10 mins however, after only 3 mins we were seated. We sat in the back and were served extremely fast, although the restaurant was very full. We were impressed at how the employees were very nice, kind, hard working and did there jobs (props to the manager of this restaurant). We got our food quickly, it was wonderful and cheap and you cant go wrong with free wifi. I seriously don't understand why this place only has 1 and a half stars, I hope people realize that is not a good reflection of the restaurant. read more

Avoid this location went for breakfast had a server named Laura a Latino woman who pretends she doesn't speak English but when it's a customer she knows she can suddenly speak such a rude server and while waiting for my food overheard her and a male server named Charlie saying awful things about customers . AVOID this location and avoid those two awful poor pathetic servers I guess I would be bitter too if I worked at Dennys at 40+ plus as a server lol oh and this location is completely run down like it's servers , idk how it hasn't been closed by the health department. I can't believe the terrible experience I had at Denny's in Alhambra on Main St. My friends and I sat down, and we waited for 20 minutes without getting any coffee or water. It took them another 15 minutes just to take our order! We sat at our table for a total of 45 minutes, and our food still hadn't arrived. When it finally did, my pancakes were cold, and to my horror, even my steak and mashed potatoes were cold too! I was so frustrated and disappointed.
