The best part they were upfront and honest and not playing games. They told me the issues without trying to down play it or making a temporary fix. Like working with a business that is upfront. Thank you for repairing our furnace! My old heating and air company said I need a new unit because you can't get parts for this older unit. I decided to get a second opinion and Dennis' was able to repair it. Our tech, James was very thorough and was able to find parts and fixed it. It got down into the thirties overnight and in the morning, our heater would not kick on. My husband was able to get it to work but we thought we had better have someone come look at it so it can be fixed so it doesn't happen again during a cold snap. We called Dennis Heating and Air at 8:45am and Gabriel was at my front door by 11:00! I wasn't expecting the call from the office that soon saying someone would be on their way so soon after I called but I was thrilled with their quick response. Gabriel was able to clean a couple parts on the heater that may be the problem so we shall have to see. If it happens again, he already knows what part we need to order and is ready to order it. Hopefully what he did today was a quick fix but if not, we will be more than happy to call them back to order the part and have them come back out and fix it. My daughter recommended Dennis heating and Air Conditioning, when we were in the need for a repair. The office staff were great and called back in a snap. They got us on the next day schedule, and notified us about an hour before the technician arrived. The technician (James) was friendly, polite and very knowledgeable. The repair was done within an hour. He explained exactly what parts/problems were broken and fixed and made a few recommendations for future servicing. My landlord hired this company to "fix" an AC unit that wasn't broken in the first place. He was looking to replace an existing unit in order to keep everything in working order which i appreciate! This whole process was supposed to take about 3 days, or so they said. Day 1: our power was shut off, without explanation or notice. They were on the ceiling and I'm assuming they were taking the old unit out. Day 2: power is still off. And they didn't show up, even though they were supposed to. At this point our house is 86° and rising. We ended up just getting a hotel. Day 3: they finally showed up again, and while I was walking out on my way to work I had asked the worker if he needed my key/if he needed the door unlocked just in case they needed any inside access, he exclaimed that he only needed the outside access and he will just wait for my partner to get home which would be around 2-3PM. so I went on my way not thinking of anything. But, when I got home there was still no AC so I called the company and the lady over the phone explained that they needed inside access to program the new unit. Huh, weird right?! If they needed inside access to finish the job I would have been more than welcome to just leaving the door unlocked, but earlier I was assured that there was no need. And so that brings us to Day 4: the same guy shows up again, apologies for the "miscommunication" and starts working inside. He claims that they waited for my partner to show up and they never did. (She showed up at 2:45 PM and nobody was here) he also mentioned that it was "too hot" to continue working during the day so they just decided to come back. TOO HOT?! Our house was roasting at that point. Onto day 5/6: our AC still wasn't working. And so on Saturday (Day 6) we called once again and a service man came out and informed us that a fuse had blown. So he fixed it for us. UPDATE: One of the owners called me wanting to take this review down, or edit it. I would have if she had listened to a word I said. She continuously interrupted me and when I asked her to stop she said "no let me speak". She was completely rude and never apologized for the HUGE inconvenience their business caused. She even threatened me with my landlord calling. I am writing this additional piece because this is the only platform the company will listen to without interpretation or rude comments. This business has kind workers but they are unorganized and their customer service is terrible. The photo attached: The mess that was made during the whole process. After working with DHAC I can say whole heartedly that this business doesn't care about its customer between the lack of knowledge and sheer ignorance they will inevitably cause more problems for their clients than they will solve. My AC unit went out and they came the next day to look at it. I was worried that they weren't going to get her soon enough but they were here at 7:30 in morning. The gentleman was honest and nice. I'm submitting this review for my 84 year old mother. Dennis' replaced her 20 year old gas heater and a/c unit. Their supervisor Scott answered all of our many, many questions and the 4-person crew that performed the work were extremely professional and courteous. They arrived on time and did not leave until the work was completed to our satisfaction...they went above and beyond our expectations! I can't say enough. I called this company for a second opinion, GLAD I did. The first company that looked at my heater spent about 10 mins looking around and said my heater couldn't be repaired and needed a full replacement at around 8-10 G's. Jim the tech from Dennis Heating came out quickly took his time to diagnose the real issue had the part in his service truck and had me fully and safely functional in about an hour. He cleaned everything, and made sure to safety check everything. All for $450 dollars. I couldn't be happier with the overall experience. I am so thankful for this company! When my Dad was in the hospital they came in to clean out and service the heater so he could come home to a safe place. It was done so quickly and they even updated the vents for us! Everything was so clean and efficient, above and beyond what I asked for or expected. So when I bought a business I needed to update our a/c system and called them in to help me. They really took their time going over options to find the right system for the right money. When they installed the unit they took extra care and made sure to not damage the roof. Everything was cleaned up, you wouldnt have known they were there except now the office is nice and cold! I would give 0 stars if possible. We had an issue at our business and have used this company since we opened 10+ years. We thought we were getting high quality service and expert advice. I seriously wonder how many things they did for us were unnecessary. They recommended a new unit which had to be ordered with huge shipping cost. Incorrect size was ordered, then correct one ordered and installed. We took the "unfixable" unit to 2 separate experts who informed us that it just needed a different part; nothing was wrong with it! It actually just had the wrong size belt ( one guess who installed the belt). After many calls we reached Dennis Heating and explained what we found out. The response? Oh, so sorry. Here is a tiny credit off your $1000+ bill. No admission of wrongdoing or even an admission of honest error. We really feel taken advantage of. All you 4 star reviewers, hope you really needed their services, cuz they speak a convincing argument, but we have proven them wrong. We discourage anyone from using them. read more
