This year, Colby came out and cleaned the chimney. i was working in the yard so I wasn't paying much attention to what he was doing. A couple of hours after he left, I came into the house and saw a ring sitting on my wood stove. I took a closer look. It was my engagement ring I lost over a year ago! I called White Glove to thank him, and they relayed the message back that he had found it in the wood stove! Aside from the soot, it's in great shape. I just want to say how grateful I am that he found the ring and left it for me. I am sure there are some people who would have thought nothing of pocketing it - but he didn't. This is not a legitimate "local family owned business" it's a scam. They came to my house in the dead of winter to clean our chimney because we needed heat and they showed up without any equipment besides a small hand held brush from the dollar store. The workers then said they would be back with equipment and showed up 2 hours later with nothing. Apologized they couldn't clean anything and took off. Then my wife called the owner who completely treated her like dirt claiming he had recorded phone calls reporting we wanted this and that done it was so harsh for my wife she got off the phone crying and called me about it. Then to make matters worse they send the amount they claim we owe them to a collection agency called First Federal Credit Control after my Discover Card found in our favor that the company unlawfully charged us for work they didn't do and not only that they had forged my signature on their documents. Family owned business with integrity doing this to new customers I think you would be better off going to the dollar store and sweeping your own chimney. You might end up in collections dealing with this dirt bag company. The owner is a piece of work the way he disrespected my wife...talking to women like that shows what a coward you are. read more

While visiting for our daughter and granddaughter for Christmas, I took a look at my daughter's fireplace insert which she said had not worked in a year. I noticed it was installed upside down with the wrong hardware and could hear gas. Since she bought a house that was flipped, I assumed the sellers took a shortcut. Asked my daughter to get on yelp and find someone reputable to get a price to either get the unit working or to return the fireplace to wood burning. For $189, we received news that unit is not working. Seriously. They added they could not fix it. Ok. And no indication of what options my daughter had or the cost range to returning the unit to wood burning. I politely called to see what other information $189 paid for and was politely informed more information would cost $275, more. Perhaps their installation services are superior. Their people did seem nice. But as to value, we paid $189 to learn they could not fix it. Now I have to find another company to actually provide useful information . Not good value at all. read more

Called White Glove after we had a flue fire, to come and inspect and clean our stovepipe. Not an easy task, as we have a two story home, and the pipe rises way above our house on an A Frame. They arrived on time, one went on the roof and inspected the cap and upper part, another cleaned from the bottom. They gave me reassurance that no damage was done, and everything was in good condition. They laid tarps down everywhere they worked. Very pleasant and professional young men. Not only did they put my new wood stove in and repaired the inside of my chimney the correct way so I could burn, but they also did my DUCTING. So having a wood stove and dusting your house weekly doesn't mean your ducts are clean. I was shocked when they came and cleaned my ducts. I watched them set everything up and constantly was asking all kinds of questions and being nosy. They just laughed and said ask all you want. I watched the dust and yuckies come out of my ducting and into a see thru container(that was spotless before they started). OMG I could not believe it. But I am glad i did it because i do notice a difference in the air quality in my house and it is AWESOME!!!! I would refer these guys without a doubt. They also do swamp coolers as well. We were having issues with our dryer not drying the clothes and suspected the vents. They came out and did a complete inspection on the entire house (twice actually) to inspect everything and found nothing wrong with the ventilation. They did not charge us for either inspection. We found later that the problem was actually a simple problem with the dryer itself. We had them clean all the HVAC ducts in our rental and were very please. Great service. read more

I have used White Glove for several years to service my cooler. They had always done a good job changing the pads and servicing my equipment. However...I called this year and the service man changed the pads and told me the unit was corroded and would never cool as it should, and recommended replacement. I told him I could not afford it this year but would replace it next year. I paid over $200.00 and after he left I noticed the unit was not cooling, just figured he was right. after a few weeks I was sure there was something wrong so I called and was told the service man had taken pictures and the unit was worn out, if they came out to look at it it would be another $200.00. we went through the whole month of July and it was brutal, temp in the house was 90 to 100. I got a ladder and went up to the unit (I am disabled). THE FREEKENG BELT WAS LOOSE, supposed to be part of the 26 point inspection I paid for!!! Went and got a new belt, tightened it, and it cools as it always has!! They just lost a customer and the sale of a new unit. read more

Having had duct cleaning performed once before (5-7 yrs ago) by a local HVAC company, the class service by White Glove was like night and day compared to the last. White Glove sent a young man named Tanner out to assess our needs. We had just had our Trane rooftop unit serviced, and they had recommended duct cleaning by White Glove. Tanner took photos inside our ducts and from the rooftop unit down and explained exactly what they would do, why it would help, and gave us a firm quote. Their office followed up with a date for the work. We offered to take an earlier date if once came up (busy season!). And it did. They used drop cloths, over all our furniture, took before and after photos, and left our house cleaner than before they came. And the improvement of air flow! Amazing. To move the thermostat up 4 degrees took like half the time it used to. We expect to see improvement in our electrical bill, which was one of the drivers for the work on our Trane and the duct cleaning after that. Top notch service is often not the lowest cost, but the results they delivered were worth every penny. read more

I was extremely impressed with the young man White Glove Chimney sent to clean, inspected and give me quotes on upgrading my fireplace with an insert. Tanner was very respectful of myself and my home making sure that none of the cleaning and work he was doing would dirty my home in anyway. He answered all my many questions about my fireplace built in 1953 and after cleaning and using a camera to inspect my chimney showed me it's condition and anything that required attention to fix any hazardous issues. Tanner pointed out a handful of items I should be wary of and explained it would likely be a bad idea to try to use the fireplace until those items could be addressed and all without making me feel like I was being pressured. I asked about wood and gas burning inserts and Tanner explained the costs of each and why. Both of which are currently beyond my Social Security Budget. I asked if there were things I could do to make the fireplace safer in the meantime and Tanner pointed out temporary fixes and some items within my budget that would make it safer like replacing the damaged chimney cap and using heavy steel plating to cover a crack in the back wall of the fireplaces metal inside walls but he also said this wouldn't fix the issue and there was no guarantee it. Only that It was safer than burning a fire without the plating. I had Tanner replace the chimney cap and explained I would have to save up to get the insert. Tanner said they would be there when I was ready. The entire experience was a pleasant one and I am extremely pleased with the company and this young man in particular. Called the company, and had to wait for the technician to call back, just to tell us to call the office. When the tech came back out, ironically the stove worked fine. We contacted Flue Season regarding our clothes dryer that wouldn't dry. I figured we had a clogged vent, and we can't clean it ourselves because it goes through interior walls and out through the roof. They came the next day, tested our vent output and cleaned it. After a second test the output was a million times better! Best of all is that or technician left everything in our laundry room cleaner than when he came! And our dryer now works properly again! I read the reviews and thought I would give them a try. I explained to them that I recently purchased our home and it has an older Earth Stove pellet stove. I called them to come and check out the stove to see if it works. I was thinking and told him that it would do no good to clean it if it does not work! The technician said it really needed cleaning and he would have to do that first (cha-ching$$). I must admit he did take the time to troubleshoot the stove. He "jumped" the augers to get them turning, and said everything worked fine, but he did not take the time to actually get a fire going, although he said "it should work". WRONG! I could not get a fire to get the augers turning. White Glove charged me $299, and all I got out of it was a clean stove and chimney and his time to troubleshoot, but not a working stove. I called back and was told by the technician that they would make it right by helping me set up a new stove I was thinking of purchasing. When I purchased a new stove, I called them back and they hem and hawed and gave me excuses about "I am not authorized to help..." In my frustration with their excuses, I told them to never mind. I realize I was taken advantage of and would not trust them again for any further work. They really lack in customer satisfaction at least in my situation. I will not recommend them. read more
